   The adidas Golden Shoe Award of the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ goes to Ronaldo who increased his total to eight goals. Joint second are Brazil´s Rivaldo and Miroslav Klose of Germany with 5 goals and 1 assist each.
 
      Turkey's national team are to have commemorative coins minted in their honour amid a wave of national joy at the team's third place in the World Cup finals.

    Dietmar Hamann said that Germany could look forward to a bright future despite their 2-0 defeat by Brazil in the World Cup final on Sunday."Germany can be proud of finishing as runners-up after only qualifying for the World Cup via the play-offs in November," insisted Hamann."The future is brighter than before. It was important for us to show we are still alive. A lot of people suffered after we lost to England," said Hamann, referring to the famous 5-1 hammering by England in Munich last September.
