OK Magazine: You may want to rethink the next time you consider skipping out on your neighborhood block party.

Beyoncé recently crashed a West Orange, N.J. one and joined in on “The Wobble" dance! On Saturday, Sept. 18, Beyoncé reportedly visited her husband Jay-Z’s mom in West Orange and went outside to join the neighbors dancing after she heard the music.

Jennifer Lopez: Why Idol Is Right for Me

Jennifer Lopez is "excited" about her new gig as a judge on American Idol's 10th season, especially since it will allow more time at home with her family in L.A.

"We're really happy that we get to be in one place with the babies [2-year-old twins Max and Emme] for a while," she says. "This is going to put us here for like six months. It's unheard of for us. The babies can do dance class and soccer practice. We're excited about being a little bit of a normal family for a little while."

The move to Idol also demonstrates how Lopez, 40, and husband Marc Anthony, 42, make big life-decisions – like taking a new high-profile job – together.

"I don't know that we ever thought I'd do something like this," says Lopez. "But when I was a dancer, was I going to be an actress? Yeah. When I was an actress, was I going to be a singer? Yes. I just think this is another evolution of that – and [Marc] explained it to me like that."

Now that the announcement is official, Lopez is eager to get started on her new gig. "I'm going to give it my whole heart, soul and passion like I do with everything that I do," she said. "I'm looking forward to such a fun year."

Lea Michele couldn't believe her eyes

Lea Michele couldn't believe her eyes when a super-fit Britney Spears walked onto the Glee set last week.

"She was so professional," Michele, 24, tells Access Hollywood. "She looked incredible.

She's so tiny!" Michele says Spears, 28, was "great to work with.

It was one of those things where you go to work and you're like, 'I can't believe we're doing this!'" Earlier this month, shots surfaced of Michele wearing similar duds that Spears wore in her famous "...Baby One More Time" video.

Though she confirms they shot a scene together, she says, "What we do together, I can't say.

I will tell you it's incredibly iconic!" Asked about Spears' episode -- set to air Sept. 28 -- Glee creator Ryan Murphy was mum.

‘Idol’ Insider: Jennifer Lopez Accepts Offer to Judge ‘American Idol’

Looks like Jennifer Lopez will be “putting on her Louboutins” for a new role next year — judge on American Idol. The superstar singer/actress has accepted one of the two vacant judges’ chairs on the Idol panel, OK! has learned exclusively.

“Jennifer accepted the Idol judge position,” an Idol insider confirms to OK!. “They are ironing out contracts as we speak so unless something goes wrong it’s a done deal.”

J. Lo’s Idol acceptance, a rumor first tossed out there by GossipCop.com, comes directly after Ellen DeGeneres announced her decision to depart the hit FOX talent show after only one season.

“She’s absorbing Ellen’s salary which is why Ellen resigned today,” our source adds, meaning J. Lo has agreed to appear on Idol for the same amount of money as Ellen. okmagazine.com

Britney Spears episode of Glee

Get ready for a Britney Spears-themed episode of Glee.

After the singer, 28, lobbied on Twitter for her tunes to be featured on the Fox hit, show creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that he’s writing an episode dedicated to her.

Not everyone on the 19-Emmy nominated show will be thrilled to sing "Womanizer."

Last May, Matthew Morrison, who plays glee club director Will Schuester, sniped to UsMagazine.com,

"I hope our show doesn't go along that route." More than 13.5 million people tuned in to a Madonna-inspired episode last April.

Miley's Outfits at Odds With Her Disney Persona

George Pimentel/WireImage.com Miley Cyrus ignored critics of her recent risque style choices and performed at Sunday night's MuchMusic Awards wearing less than some people might wear for a day at the beach.

The 17-year-old Disney star wore an itsy-bitsy black monokini as she gyrated through a performance of her hit song "Party in the U.S.A." (which featured a cameo by Justin Bieber), and was just as provocative in a performance of her current, aptly titled single, "Can't Be Tamed."

For that part of the show she wore a white, retro-undergarment-style piece that she paired with high-heeled black booties.

The outfits are the latest in a recent run of edgier looks from the singer, who wore abbreviated hot pants for a Spain concert earlier this month, and a midriff-baring top while in Paris.

Just last week, Cyrus defended her increasingly adult look after she faced criticism about her "Can't Be Tamed" video, which features her dancing provocatively in a cage and wearing a corset.

She told the Associated Press: "What I'm trying to do is make a point with my record and look consistent, in the way my record sounds and the way I dress."

For Miley, it's all part of being a performer. "We are up there just dressing up; we are just having fun," she said to UsMagazine.com. "It's about the girls and guys who are living their dream playing dress up. But it seems her work persona isn't the only thing driving Miley's fashion choices.

"I work really hard to be fit and to know I can wear whatever makes me feel most comfortable, and I feel most comfortable dressing with a little less. And that's kind of how I've always been, it's just now I'm able to do that a little more freely," Miley said in the Associated Press interview.

Don't believe recent chatter suggesting that Miley Cyrus and her Aussie hunk have split due to his rising popularity and her supposed jealousy.

According to Cyrus, that is so not the case. "Just wanna clear up a rumor. Liam [Hemsworth] and I did not break. EVER!

We are so happy and a lot of that has to do with the amazing relationship he has with my family," she writes on her Web site. The couple met in 2009 on the set of The Last Song, based on the Nicholas Sparks novel. They attempted to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, but in March, Cyrus admitted that she and Hemsworth had been dating for 10 months.

Hemsworth, 20, is currently in negotiations to star in the 3D action film Arabian Nights. And Cyrus's third album Can't Be Tamed drops June 22.

With two demanding schedules and plenty of travel, no wonder rumors surface. But it's clear that family bonds help keep the couple in sync. "We are both so busy right now, so having them by our side supporting us and our career is such a blessing!" Cyrus writes.

Jennifer Lopez's Nearly-Naked Catsuit Gets Catcalls

Two days into the New Year and the revealing catsuit Jennifer Lopez wore on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve to sing "Waiting for Tonight" is still causing eyes to roll – in both awe and anxiety.

Though the ABC show's host Ryan Seacrest let the 41-year-old singer know that her outfit "made my year," Alicia Lundgren, a 24-year-old dancer from Philadelphia, told Jenny from the block's hometown paper, the New York Daily News, "There's too many wrinkles. It looks like elephant skin."

Not all the remarks about the ensemble were catty. Some prompted catcalls, including a "Wow" from Jason Ray, 24, a legal assistant from near Times Square, where Thursday's festivities – and the fashion display – took place. "I think she looks good after having twins!" he told the newspaper.

Underneath the sheer garment, Lopez sported little beyond her spangled red-soled Louboutin heels.

Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and the Black Eyed Peas

are among the megawatt stars set to perform Jan. 31 at the 52nd Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, it was announced on Tuesday. Country cutie Swift, whose eight nods are second only to leading nominee Beyoncé's 10, will also present at the show, an inside source told PEOPLE on Tuesday. Fellow nominees Lady Antebellum (with two nominations) and Maxwell (with six) will also perform on the live CBS telecast, while others are still to be named. This year, Beyoncé, already a 10-time Grammy winner, is up for Record of the Year ("Halo"), Album of the Year (I Am … Sasha Fierce) and Song of the Year, for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)." Swift's nominations also include Record of the Year and Song of the Year, for "You Belong With Me," and Album of the Year, for "Fearless.

He refused to marry Britney!

Things always come in threes, Britney Spears was saying before being sadly disappointed... Of late, it was common knowledge that the well known American pop singer was feeling disposed to tie the knot again. After two marriages and as many divorces, the performer of "Oops!... I Did it Again" was dreaming of marrying Jason Trawick, her manager and current boyfriend.

But Jason isn't having any of it, whether Miss Spears likes it or not. Although they are said to be very much in love, Jason does not want to rush into things. Consequently, he has refused Britney's proposal!

Britney, also known as Brit Brit, is finding it hard to recover... But at the age of 28, it is certainly not too late to try again!

Miley Cyrus: "I've Never Heard a Jay-Z Song"

Miley Cyrus -- whose hit song, "Party in the U.S.A." includes a line about her nodding her head to one of the rapper's tracks -- says she doesn't know which of his songs inspired the lyrics.

See photos of Miley and other stars from when they were kids. "I've never heard a Jay-Z song," the singer, 16, said in an interview before her Halloween concert -- in which she was dressed as Pocahontas -- in Louisville, Kentucky this past Saturday. "I don't listen to pop music."

Then how did it get in her song -- which was recently No. 1 on the Top 40 charts? "I don't know, I didn't write the song, so I have no idea," she said of the tune, which was written by a songwriting team of Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly and Jessica Cornish. "Honestly, I picked that song because I needed something to go with my clothing line. I didn't write it and ... I didn't expect it to be popular, originally. It was just something that I wanted to do, and I needed some songs and it turned out for the best."

Although she said "Party in the U.S.A." is "not even my style of music," she is thankful for its success.

"I'm really blessed for it to have done as well as it has. Totally blessed," she said. "God has definitely put me in an amazing position with amazing people."

Later, when asked about an artist she has heard before -- her father, Billy Ray Cyrus -- the Hannah Montana star says she has no plans to shout out any of his songs, like the 1992 hit, "Achy Breaky Heart."

"No, no thank you," she said. "That's like covering a Jay-Z song. That's not going to happen."

Britney Spears Pays Off Paparazzo

Britney Spears is footing the bill for running over paparazzo Ricardo Mendoza outside a Beverly Hills medical building in 2007.

The terms of the settlement haven’t been disclosed but Ricardo was seeking $230,000 in damages and medical expenses after being mown over by her Mercedes, reports E! Online.

But he isn’t the first pap to be pounded by the Circus star.

In November 2007, Britney fled over the feet of a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy before driving over the toes of another photographer as she left the Four Seasons in the same month.

Mendoza sued in May for an unspecified amount, then followed in September with some specific demands: $195,000 in general damages, $16,533.59 for medical bills and $10,000 for any future foot problems.

Attorney Benjamin C. Alvarez’s rebuttal papers had described Mendoza as a “self-serving, profit-hungry paparazzo” who “positioned and placed himself in the roadway in front of Ms. Spears’ vehicle.”

Christina Aguilera working on a sensational comeback

Despite starting work on her first film "Burlesque", Christina Aguilera is not leaving her music to one side. The American singer of Ecuadorian origin is stepping up her visits to the studio with producer Tricky Stewart.

Stewart was behind Rihanna's massive hit "Umbrella", which can only bode well for Christina Aguilera's next album, which will be her fourth and is as yet untitled.

Tricky Stewart commented: "It's just great. I wouldn't say that it's alternative, I would say that it's different. I really feel it's one of her best bodies of work that I've heard since "Stripped"."

Aaron Carter Predicts ‘I’m Going to Win’ DWTS

Aaron Carter is quite confident about his chances of winning Dancing with the Stars.

“There are no if’s, and’s or but’s or possibilities or chances,” he said during an interview Monday on 104.3 MY FM’s Valentine in the Morning. “I’m going to win Dancing with the Stars.”

With only the first week of competition down, the pop singer predicts he’ll be in the finale with Donny Osmond and Joanna Krupa, who both also performed well last week.

For Monday night’s performance, Carter will dance a quickstep with his pro partner Karina Smirnoff, who he says he is not dating. “She’s beautiful, but I’ve got to keep it professional,” he said while calling into the radio show.

The show’s hosts reminded Carter of Karina’s past relationships that started in the ballroom with Mario Lopez and her former fiancé Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

“Honestly, why would I want to be in that category?” Carter said. “I’m sorry, but I’m not that guy. I don’t got that kind of time.”

As for injuries, Carter only admits, “My knees hurt but that’s about it.” And he’s got the perfect remedy for the pain: “I take Epsom salt baths,” he said.

Avril Lavigne nearly single again?

According to persistent rumours, the Canadian singer Avril Lavigne has been having marital difficulties for several months. The magazine "Us Weekly" has gone even further by claiming that the pretty blond has just kicked out her husband Deryck Whibley! Consequently, a divorce looks imminent...

The wedding of the two musicians took place in July 2006. At that time, Avril was just 21 years old: quite young age, which probably explains some of her disillusionment in love.

The young icon of "glam pop" has frankly decided to move on. She has every intention of getting rid of all the tracks, composed with Deryck, due to appear on the track list of her next album. As a result, this work is likely to be somewhat delayed.

Miley Cyrus is going to have to go into the studio with her ex, Nick Jonas, to record a song for their label, Disney. And even though Miley just this very morning told Ryan Seacrest, "me and Nick are really close friends now" -- we can't help but think working with a former BF could be a little tense. E! News reports that his bandmates/brother, Joe and Kevin, plus some other stars, will also record Pass It On at a session later this week.
Earlier today Miley addressed her relationship with the Jonai on Seacrest's radio show. "Everyone thinks that me and the Jonas Brothers have this big feud going on, and me and Nick are really close friends now. We talk all the time and he's one of my best friends." "We don't hate each other," she added. "We really love each other. He's really cool, and I'm happy we've been able to stay friends."

The pop star, 27, wrote on Twitter that last Wednesday's shoot was "super sexy and really fun! I can't wait for you all to see it <3 Britney."

The controversial song (say the title fast!) is the third single off her platinum album, Circus.

Spears plays a 1950s housewife with a perfect family in the clip. Photos show her donning a blonde bouffant hairstyle and carrying a pie while hanging with a handsome, preppy man and two well-dressed kids in a home with a white picket fence.

But inside the house, the singer apparently strips down and dances in a racy outfit! A video release date has not yet been announced.

The singer, who plans to hit the road for her Circus tour next month, spent Tuesday filming the video for her upcoming single "If U Seek Amy," in which she plays a sexy housewife dressed in blonde '50s style wig, fitted pink top and white skirt.

"The video begins with Britney coming outside her house to hand the paparazzi an apple pie that she baked," says a source. "She acts like she wants to hook up. The video is very provocative."

In part of the video, Spears is accompanied by two adorable perfectly-groomed children and a straight-laced man wearing khakis and a sweater over his shoulders.

But a source says there are also lots of dancers "dressed in skimpy outfits in metallic color" and revealing costumes for Spears included in the shoot. According to several sources, Spears was very professional and upbeat on the set. "She was like the old Britney at the shoot. She was engaged and excited the whole day and seemed like her old self," says a source. "If U Seek Amy" is the third single from the album Circus. Spears kicks off her new tour in New Orleans on March 3.

Geri Halliwell is engaged dfter dating for a month.

Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is spicing up her life in a big way. She has announced that she is engaged to Italian yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi. The 36-year-old singer - who split from London nightclub owner Nick House in December - only met Fabrizio, 34, in a nightclub in Florence last month. Halliwell's management firm, 19, confirmed in a statement: "We are delighted to announce the engagement of Geri Halliwell and Fabrizio Politi. "As a token of their commitment to each other Fabrizio presented Geri with an engagement ring over the festive season.
"There are no immediate plans for marriage as the couple are enjoying their engagement." In May 2006, Halliwell welcomed a baby girl, whom she named Bluebell Madonna. (The baby's father is reportedly screenwriter Sacha Gervasi.)

Britney to sign autobiography deal

DigitalSpy.co.uk: Britney Spears is reportedly close to signing a deal worth £10 million to pen an official autobiography.

According to The Mirror, the 'Circus' singer has already teamed up with a literary agent and is expected to begin writing the book following her world tour.

"There have been numerous unofficial biographies printed about Britney, but she's never agreed to pen her own tome - until now," said an insider.

"And some of the stories she's got are absolute dynamite. She's kept diaries so there's nothing she'll leave out unless she wants to."

The source added that Spears could eventually write "between three and five books throughout the next decade", adding that it was "one of the most lucrative deals in showbiz history".

The 27-year-old's mother Lynne released her own autobiography last month, entitled Through The Storm: A Real Story Of Fame And Family In A Tabloid World.

Britney: David Beckam is a "cutie" and I want private soccer lessons

Britney Spears has a crush on David Beckham - and is begging the British star to give her soccer lessons.

The Toxic hitmaker is a big fan of the sport but admits her skills on the pitch are less than impressive.

And she has called on the Los Angeles Galaxy star to give her some helpful tips on how to play the game.

She tells OK!, “David Beckham - he’s a cutie. I am not a very good soccer player, so I have to get someone in to help me. Maybe he can.”

Mariah & Nick: Out of Sync?

Nick Cannon, 28, held a packed house on Oct. 20 as he spun classic hip-hop tunes for the gala party at the Whitney Museum of American Art in NYC.

But there was one audience member who clearly wasn't bopping to the DJ's music – his wife, Mariah Carey! Mariah sat in the back of the DJ booth, glumly fiddling with her cell phone. Then, 10 minutes into Nick's set, Mimi, 38, snuck out to chat with gala host Donatella Versace.

"Mariah clearly wasn't into Nick's music at all," says one partygoer. "It looked like she wanted to tell him to turn down that awful rackett!"

Maybe the singer was just preoocupied. Mariah has signed up to appear on the British series The X Factor next month, where she'll sing her new track "I Stay In Love."

Mariah is one of the most successful female artists of all time," says an insider. Says another, "Simon Cowell loves Mariah. He's always comparing acts to her. And finally all the compliments have paid off."

Now if only Nick can get his wife to give him compliments on his music! Listening to him spin is obviously not how she stays in love!

Céline Dion Dreams of Having Another Baby

People.com: The clock may be ticking, but Céline Dion still hopes to have a second child after her world tour ends in February 2009.

There is a "small window of hope," she told Oprah Winfrey this week. "We'll give it a try after my tour ... Hopefully, we [will be] parents again. If not, that's fine. We have our miracle baby."

Dion and her husband, manager René Angélil, have a 7-year-old son, René-Charles, conceived by in vitro fertilization after six years of trying.

In the meantime, Dion has more pressing concerns, like battling the respiratory ailment which forced her to cancel a recent show in Minneapolis. (The concert has been rescheduled for Feb. 5.)

Britney and Wade Robson reunite for upcoming tour

News.com.au: SHE'S swapped her "warped" ways for the showbiz straight-and-narrow, now Britney Spears has hired an Aussie dancing man to help choreograph her return to the world spotlight.

Wade Robson styled Spears early steps to pop culture fame, but told Confidential yesterday he will reunite with the singer as she prepares to climb her way back up the charts.

But not before Robson returns to share his skills with Sydney dancers, at classes next month.

The 26-year-old, who was given his start - controversially - by Michael Jackson as an 8-year-old, remains in hot demand as a dance director and confirmed he will write the moves for Spears' upcoming world tour.

"She reached out to me and said she wanted to get the old team back together, so we'll go into rehearsals in January for a March start," he said.

Like the rest of the world, Robson said he watched Spears self-destruction with horror, but explained "when you exist in a warped world, warped things are going to happen to you".

Nelly Furtado Ties the Knot!

ET: Singer Nelly Furtado is a married lady! The singer tells our sister show, "ET Canada," that she got married over the summer!

The lucky groom is the bride's longtime love, Demacio "Demo" Castellon, a sound engineer who worked with Furtado on her 2006 album, Loose, and wedding bells rang on July 19.

"It's a nice phase of my life," she told "ET Canada."

Womanizer #1 on Billboard Hot 100 + Britney sets new records

Billboard.com: Another week, another record-breaking jump to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Britney Spears makes a near-maximum 96-1 rise with "Womanizer," returning to the top of the list for the first time since her debut single "...Baby One More Time" hit No. 1 in January 1999.

This is the third time in the past two months that the mark for the biggest jump to No. 1 has been shattered. On the Hot 100 dated Sept. 6, T.I. soared 71-1 with "Whatever You Like" and last week he sprinted 80-1 with "Live Your Life."

Spears' single is spurred by first-week download sales of 286,000, the biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital downloads in 2003, besting Mariah Carey's take for "Touch My Body" by just over 200 units.

In between her nearly 10-year gap between No. 1s, Spears has placed four other top 10s on the Hot 100, the last being "Gimme More," the first single from her last set, "Blackout." That song jumped 68-3 last October with first-week download sales of 179,000.

American Hip-Hop diva Beyonce Knowles has finally spilt the beans on her real love with her husband Jay-Z. The couple has tied the knot in a secret ceremony last April, reportedly happened in Paris in what is said to be a “low key” shindig.

It was Jay’s idea to keep their wedding under wraps inviting only close friends and family, the ceremony was followed by a lavish party at the rapper's Tribeca apartment that drew Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny's Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple's friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

Britney to Release New Album on Her Birthday

People.com: Britney Spears has arranged a wonderful birthday present for herself: her sixth studio album, Circus, due for release Dec. 2 – the day she turns 27, her label announced Monday.

Coming so soon after her triple victory – for video of the year, best female video and best pop video for "Piece of Me" – at MTV's Video Music Awards on Sept. 7, Circus follows up her well-received 2007 album Blackout and continues the upward spiral the sometimes-troubled pop star has been experiencing.

The Outsyders, described by Spears's label, Jive records, as an up-and-coming Atlanta production team, have produced the first single from the album, "Womanizer," which will drop Sept. 22.

Other producers and writers with a hand in the album, according to Jive, include Dr. Luke (writer-producer of the title track, "Circus"), Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth – who's collaborated with such other artists as Madonna, Alanis Morissette and Bjork.

Jennifer Lopez Completes First-Ever Triathlon in Malibu

People.com: Jennifer Lopez had the support of several important men in her life as she successfully competed in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sunday, finishing the race in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds.

The singer-actress was cheered on from the sidelines by husband Marc Anthony, who escorted her to a VIP area with his arm securely around her after she crossed the finish line, exhausted, but with her fists pumped in victory.

In the VIP area, Lopez met up with Matthew McConaughey, who also competed in the triathlon at Zuma Beach. The actor greeted his former Wedding Planner costar with a big hug. And Lopez was accompanied along the way by her trainer Gunnar Peterson, who was not racing himself, but was there to help out.

Lopez, 39, has been training for the event – her first ever triathlon – with Peterson and Self magazine editor-in-chief Lucy Danziger. In August, she appeared on Good Morning America, boasting a positive attitude about her workout regimen. "I feel great," she said on the show. "I have more energy – [and] I'm proud of myself." She also revealed that she would be raising money for Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Wearing forest green Juicy sweats when she arrived Sunday morning, Lopez changed quickly into her wetsuit before the swim portion as Peterson and a bodyguard held up towels to shield her from the paparazzi. Jennifer Lopez Sued Over Dog Attack

Jennifer Lopez is being sued for $5 million by a flight attendant who claims she was attacked by the singer’s guard dog two years ago.

Lisa Wilson, an employee of NetJets, filed a suit in Brooklyn citing the incident took place in July of 2006 when she was assigned to work a flight with Jenny From the Block on board.

The security on board featured Floyd, a German shepherd who was described in documents obtained by New York Daily News as "a well-behaved guard dog." However, Lopez still gave her instructions on how to act around Floyd.

An hour and a half into the flight, when Wilson walked past Floyd, the dog began "attacking her and biting her pant leg" causing the shocked air stewardess to twist and fall resulting in an injured back which required surgery last year "at great economic loss."

Because she is no longer able to work, Wilson believes J-Lo is "absolutely liable for all injuries" because she "should have known the dog had vicious propensities" and kept it leashed.

But the records reviewed by those who are targeted for dismissal were from previous hospitalizations at UCLA, the Times reports. The dates and purposes of those hospitalizations weren't known. UCLA officials declined to comment on the reported firings, but said in a statement: "UCLA Health System considers patient confidentiality a critical part of our mission of teaching, research and patient care. ... We have stringent policies to protect patient confidentiality and address violations of those policies."

Britney Spears Gets a Visit From Her Sons Again

It was the second visitation in three days; on Saturday, Spears saw her children for the first time since Jan. 3 after working out a structured visitation arrangement with Federline.

Meanwhile, attorneys for Spears's father Jamie filed another round of papers in federal court on Monday, urging a judge to quickly end a civil rights challenge to Jamie's control of his daughter's $100 million estate and keep the co-conservatorship case in state court.

Lawyer Needs More TimeJon Eardley, an attorney who claims to represent the pop star, had been asked by U.S. District Court Judge Philip Gutierrez to file papers by Feb. 22 explaining the civil rights challenge. Instead, Eardley on Friday told the judge he needed more time to formally file.

In legal documents, Eardley claims that Britney retained him Feb. 12 before her phone was taken away and the line disconnected. Eardley also continued to maintain that the conservatorship case in state court violates her constitutional rights.

But in motion filed Monday, the conservatorship attorneys say Eardley, in addition to failing to meet the court's filing deadline, has not proven that he even qualifies as Britney's attorney or addressed the most fundamental legal issues in the case.

The conservatorship motion asks that the case be immediately returned to Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, and that Eardley be forced to reimburse $43,000 in attorney fees.

While the civil rights issue remained unresolved in federal court, the conservatorship case in state court is stalled.
"There's nothing for this court to do today. We're in a holding pattern," said Goetz at a hearing Friday.

The Hottie and the Nottie, a romantic comedy starring Hilton, Joel David Moore, and Christine Lakin, opened Friday to $9,000 on 111 screens, or $81 per screen, according to Box Office Mojo.

By comparison, Fool's Gold, the newest romantic comedy from Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, also opened Friday to $7.65 million on 3,125 screens, or $2,148 per screen.

Hilton's Hottie disappointed, despite a whirlwind three weeks of film promotion for Hilton. She premiered the film in Hollywood and Dallas, appeared in Philadelphia, at Harvard University, and the Sundance Film Festival, and on talk shows Late Show with David Letterman and MTV's TRL.

Hilton recently spoke about her acting coach Ivana Chubbuck and what she's learned from working with her.

"Actors are really great if they've lived the life of a lot of things happen to them," she said of the acting method she uses. "I've had a lot happen to me in my life. Now I've learned to use those experiences in my acting."

She costars next in this year's musical Repo! The Genetic Opera, opposite Paul Sorvino and Alexa Vega.

Britney's Manager on Way Out, Attorney Wants to Quit

In a shake-up, Britney Spears' business manager is close to being fired and her divorce attorney has asked the court for permission to drop her as a client.

Howard Grossman, the business manager, tells PEOPLE he is aware he was the subject of a closed-door hearing Thursday but he has no idea why a temporary conservator's motion to give Spears's father the right to fire him was granted.

Court papers show that Grossman was served Thursday with orders to surrender "all documents, records and assets relating to Britney Spears."

"The only thing I will say is my reputation speaks for itself," Grossman says. "I couldn't tell you why they chose this path."

Also, divorce lawyer Sorrell Trope tells PEOPLE he filed papers Friday asking permission to be released as Spears's attorney in her custody battle with Kevin Federline.

A hearing will be held on the matter on March 10. The high-profile divorce attorney had filed similar papers several weeks ago, but retracted them.

Lopez's Father: J.Lo Expecting Twins

"They are twins, yes," David Lopez said on Telefutura's "Escandalo TV" program. He said his sister had twins.

Britney released from hospital

LATimes.com: Pop singer Britney Spears was released from a psychiatric ward at the UCLA Medical Center today after nearly a week of treatment.

It was unclear where she was going, but sources said she might head to one of her homes before seeking additional treatment.

Unlike the spectacle surrounding her trip to the Westwood medical facility last week, she slipped out with relatively little fanfare. A private security detail escorted her in contrast to last week when more than a dozen Los Angeles police officers escorted Spears to the hospital via motorcade.

The LAPD said they took that step after increasingly aggressive tactics by paparazzi have forced them to take costly precautions. Authorities said she was headed home before seeking additional treatments.

Her release comes after Spears' mother, in court documents, said her daughter's self-described friend and manager exerted near-total control over the singer, cutting her phone lines, taking away her cellphone chargers, disabling her vehicles and grinding up pills to place in her food. Spears' mother alleges in a restraining order against the man.

Spears' mother made the allegations in a request for a restraining order against the manager, Sam Lutfi. The restraining order, approved Friday and released by the court Tuesday, bars Lutfi from coming within 250 yards of the singer.

Spears' father and an attorney have been granted temporary conservatorship over Spears and her estate. According to sources, a grand theft report was filed by Spears' father, Jamie Spears, after the singer was taken to the UCLA hospital last week.

The grand theft report alleges that paintings, jewelry and other valuables were taken from his daughter's Coldwater Canyon home. A limited number of people had access to the home in that period, sources said.

The 43-year-old actress has been asking her 'Desperate Housewives' co-stars Marcia Cross and Felicity Hoffman for advice on pregnancy and motherhood.

And she reportedly kept asking Felicity and Marcia about how the pregnancy would change her appearance and if it would make her hair thinner.

Brit’s an indisputable drug addict

It seems almost everyone has an opinion about Britney Spears’ fall from pop grace. “Loveline” host Dr. Drew Pinsky recently joined the chorus in an interview with Us Weekly. The addiction-medicine specialist shared his informed opinion on what’s wrong in Brit’s life and whether or not there’s still hope for the singer.

“(Britney) is a drug addict,” Dr. Drew insisted. “It is an indisputable point.” To back up his claim, he told Us, “We know that she is a drug addict because she's been admitted to a treatment center. You can't be admitted unless you’ve met criteria for addiction.”

When asked if Brit’s problems could be traced to attaining pop success at such an early age, Dr. Drew wouldn’t entertain the blame game. “Her mental health has almost nothing to do with her career.” But he does believe her mega-stardom makes it harder to help her.

Madonna nominated for Rock Hall of Fame

Madonna and disco queen Donna Summer are among nine acts nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the hall embraces more musical genres.
Other nominees include U.S. rock singer John Mellencamp, Canadian poet-singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, 1960s English band The Dave Clark Five and instrumental rock band The Ventures.
Also nominated are New York-based funk group Chic, rap pioneer Afrika Bambaataa and hip-hop group The Beastie Boys, reflecting the Hall of Fame's willingness to accept a diversity of genres.
Five-hundred music industry professionals will choose five of the nominees to be inducted at a ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel next March.
Last year, rap group Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five were the first hip-hop artists to be inducted.Chic, the Dave Clark Five and Mellencamp have been nominated previously.
Artists become eligible for Hall of Fame induction 25 years after the release of their first record and are represented at a permanent exhibition at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Simple Life star is filming a horror-musical (no, really) called Repo! The Genetic Opera. And she plans to continue her good works after her Rwanda trip: "I want to visit more countries where poverty and children's issues are a big concern. Britney charged with hit-and-run

TMZ.com: Britney Spears has been charged with one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a valid California license. Both charges are misdemeanors, each carrying a maximum of 6 months in jail.

The charges stem from an August 6 incident in L.A. where Spears was in a private parking lot in the San Fernando Valley.

The Los Angeles City Attorney filed charges this afternoon.

Spears' arraignment is set for October 10.

The City Attorney sent Spears a letter notifying her of the charges. That letter was mailed today.

The victim filed a police report at the LAPD North Hollywood Division on August 9 and filed a report.

After leaving her lawyer's office, Britney went to a home in Bel Air. A neighbor says the home is owned by a nurse. Ding dang, y'all, we don't know why she was there. After that, she went to a pet store in Malibu.

Spice Girls announce extra concert dates

The Spice Girls announced that they are to play extra dates on their reunion tour.
The band announced new concerts in San Jose, California, and Shanghai, China.

Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel Brown, Emma Bunton and Mel Chisholm split six years ago, after selling 55 million albums and nine UK number ones.

Since launching their reunion tour last month, three million people have registered to see the band.

In a statement on their website, they said that they were giving the fans the chance to vote on where the band should play.

They said: "If we haven't announced a date near you, you can still vote for your city to become 'Spice City. For one night only, exactly where we perform is down to you and your votes...we are literally in your hands."

Lopez and Anthony to tour together?

Jennifer Lopez and her husband, Marc Anthony, are working on plans to tour together.
"Jennifer has never toured," Anthony told US music magazine Billboard. "I've toured all my life.

This is where I can step in and says, 'Oh, my God, this could be fun,' and introduce her to that world."

He added, "So, yes, we're seriously talking about going out this year (and) putting together an amazing show with just her and me."

Anthony and Lopez both star 'El Cantante', a biopic of Salsa King Hector Lavoe who started the salsa movement in 1975 and brought it to America.

The film is due to be released in the US in August.

Does Minogue & Martinez rekindling romance?

Pop singer Kylie Minogue is reportedly hoping to rekindle her romance with actor Olivier Martinez, after the pair ended their four year relationship earlier this year.

According to the Daily Mail, the singer sees "Olivier as the love of her life. He made her feel like a woman again when she lost her hair. They still have a massive connection".

A source also told the newspaper: "After the split, they texted each other and would reminisce about the good times. Kylie said to Olivier that she missed him dearly and suggested they should have what she called a 'glorious summer'."

The singer's friends recently denied that the pair had rekindled their romance, saying that Minogue only travelled to France to visit Martinez's dog.

Kylie Minogue is close to getting back with ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez, after she allegedly issued a ‘marry me or leave me’ ultimatum to the cheating cad. We revealed last week how the pair have been meeting in secret to discuss their relationship, after Olivier admitted that he regretting dumping the superstar. "Kylie has said to him that there will be a three-month trial and he has to make up his mind pretty quickly whether he wants to marry her,” a friend told the Daily Mail. “If he does, she will stop asking about having children." Lindsay Arrested Again!

Jail time is looking likely for Lindsay Lohan after she was arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The actress, who has been wearing an alcohol detection anklet since she left rehab 11 days ago, was booked for driving under the influence, possession of cocaine and driving on a suspended license, Santa Monica police confirmed. Lindsay is already facing jail time stemming from a DUI and hit-and-run incident in May, where she crashed her car and left the scene. If she’s convicted on both incidents, the troubled star will go to jail for at least four days.

MSN.com: Madonna movie to become London musical

Theatre producers announced Tuesday plans for a London musical version of pop queen Madonna's 1985 film "Desperately Seeking Susan" that will feature hit songs by punk rock band Blondie.

Debbie Harry, who is now 63 years old, has also written a new song, "Moment of Truth", for the production that will open in London's West End theatre district in October, producers said.

"It's going to be all Blondie songs," said Mark Rubinstein, one of the musical's producers.

"It sets the world before Madonna, when there was Debbie Harry and Blondie. She's from that world and that time. 'Moment of Truth' is different," Rubinstein said.

The musical will also feature old Blondie hits such as "Heart of Glass", "Atomic", "One Way or Another", "Dreaming", and "The Tide is High".

Emma Williams, 24, who will assume the role of Susan played by Madonna in what was her first major film, said her character "will be a cross between Madonna and Debbie Harry."

Kelly Price, who recently appeared in the West End production of Guys and Dolls, will play Roberta Glass, the bored suburban New Jersey housewife who becomes fascinated with Susan. Rosanna Arquette had the film role 22 years ago.

Susan Gallin, the originating producer, said: "It will be very close to the movie.

"The story is universal. It's a quirky, off-beat movie about women who change their lives and end up with the lives that they were meant to have.

Harry, whose new song is "based on an R and B idea," said: "The story just works with the lyrics. I thought it was a good idea, really smart. I would love it to come to Broadway. Hopefully it will be a huge success."

She expected the musical to be "more light-hearted" than the film.

Gallin added: "We would like to have Madonna (who has a home in London) come to see the opening night. It was her break-out movie. She was wonderful in it. Interesting, quirky and fabulous."

The production -- rights for which were bought from MGM -- will open at London's Novello Theatre on October 12.

The musical is written and conceived by US writer, director and actor Peter Michael Marino, whose other writing projects include "Hollywood Nurses", an homage to lesbian pulp novels of the 1950s.

Timberlake announces Vicar St show

It has been announced that Justin Timberlake is to play an intimate show at Dublin's venue Vicar Street in the early hours of Sunday 1 July after his concert at the RDS.

Doors will open for the show at Vicar Street at 12am. Timberlake and his band take to the stage at 1am.

Tickets for the Vicar Street show go on sale on Monday 25 June from usual outlets nationwide.

They are priced €81.25 and are limited to two per person
