Justin Bieber Says He’s “In Love” With Selena Gomez:
“She’s Hot & Makes Me Laugh”
Justin Bieber is head over heels in love with Selena
Gomez. The 17-year-old singing sensation gave his most
candid interview to date about his budding relationship
with the 19-year-old brunette bombshell, opening up to
New! magazine about what makes her so great.
Justin reveals that he is “in love” with Selena!
“I wouldn’t be with somebody if I wasn’t in love,” JB
confessed to New! magazine, via MTV UK.
“Everybody can see she is hot and that’s great, but
there is so much more to her than that,” he added. “She
makes me laugh and she puts up with my practical jokes.”
Justin also explained that having a similar family
background to Selena helped build a strong foundation
for their relationship.
“We were both raised by our moms in single-parent
households, and that’s given us a lot of the same family
values in life.”

Spice Girls' Mel C Opens Up
Being labeled Sporty Spice was both a blessing and a
curse for Melanie Chisholm.
In a new interview with The UK's Daily Mail, the
37-year-old singer explains how being in the spotlight
caused her to become both depressed and bulimic.
"Being in the Spice Girls was amazing, but also very
tough," Chisholm admits. "I was young and
impressionable, and I found it hard to read about
myself."
"The tabloids were cruel about my appearance, and
nothing can prepare you for that," the singer explains.
"You just have to fight your way through it."
Chisholm says "there were a lot of lies printed" about
her during the band's heyday, and tabloids often
referred to her as "gobby" and "masculine." Inevitably,
that prompted "questions about my sexuality."
(The singer, who welcomed daughter Scarlet in February
2009, identifies as straight. She has been dating
property developer Thomas Starr since 2002.)
These days, Sporty Spice says she's in a much better
place. "When I see Scarlet playing her toy guitar and
singing along, it reminds me of my own childhood,"
Chisholm says. "My mum sang in a band and my stepdad
played bass. There were always musicians in the house.
It was a happy time."
Though Chisholm recently released her fifth solo album,
she hinted the Spice Girls may reunite to perform at the
2012 Olympics in London.
"Our last tour was amazing," she says. "It rekindled old
friendships and made me appreciate the other girls
again. The Olympics would be brilliant, but I don't know
the truth. I'd love to do something, but it would have
to involve all five of us."

Justin Bieber Takes Selena Gomez on 'Titanic' Date
Justin Bieber is the romance king of the world!
After spending the day at the beach together on Friday,
the singer took girlfriend Selena Gomez on a super-sized
date that she's not likely to forget.
After catching their pal Demi Lovato in concert at the
Nokia Theater, the couple then headed next door to
L.A.'s Staples Center, where they watched the
tear-jerking romance Titanic ... alone.
Bieber, according to TMZ, rented out the entire arena so
he and Gomez, 19, could watch Kate Winslet and Leonardo
DiCaprio in the Oscar-winning classic.
But Bieber, 17, didn't have to pay for it! The Staples
Center's management reportedly allowed him the arena,
which was available for the night, for free because
Bieber has sold out the place three times. (Just don't
tell Gomez!)
"Romance isn't dead," Bieber Tweeted Friday. "Treat your
lady right fellas."

Demi Lovato: I Finally Feel Like a Role Model
By now, it's no secret that Demi Lovato has been to hell
and back. The 18-year-old singer has been open about her
struggles with cutting, eating disorders and depression,
and she hopes her journey will inspire others to tackle
their own issues as well.
"To me, it's more rewarding for me to speak about these
issues and know that I'm possibly making a difference in
someone's life," she tells The Associated Press. "I feel
like I'm held more accountable to stay healthy now
because now I'm a role model to young girls to not have
eating issues and to not say, 'Hey, it's OK to starve
yourself' or 'It's OK to throw up after your meals.'
That's not OK."
The "Skyscraper" singer, who is still in therapy, admits
that it's a "daily battle" to stay on the straight and
narrow.
"I check in with many, many people every single day,"
Lovato says. "I have a very strong treatment team and
it's actually kind of overwhelming sometimes to have
that many people just focused on you and your problems."
One thing Lovato doesn't have to worry about? People in
her team sweeping her issues under the rug.
"Now I have people around me that at the sign of
anything, they say something and they speak up and they
are no longer afraid to say, 'Hey, maybe you shouldn't
be doing this' because they're afraid of losing their
job," the singer -- who released her third album,
Unbroken, on Tuesday -- says.
"I think that's what goes wrong in a lot of people's
careers, so many people are afraid to say, 'This person
has a problem' or 'This person maybe shouldn't do this'
because they're afraid of losing their jobs," Lovato
adds.

Beyoncé: Pregnancy Is 'the Most Incredible Gift'
Beyoncé Knowles can't hold back when it comes to
expressing her pregnancy joy.
After showing off her baby bump at the MTV Music Awards
and later saying she feels "very empowered," the pop
diva, 30, now says she's "so happy to be a woman."
"[Pregnancy] is the most incredible gift anyone can
have," Knowles told E! News. "I'm very excited. I'm
probably the happiest I've ever been."
And should her baby-on-the-way (with husband Jay-Z) be
inclined to follow in mom and dad's footsteps, he or she
has already got quite a head start.
"I've been performing the whole time and dancing and
singing in the studio," Knowles says. "I think my baby
has heard lots and lots of very loud music."

Britney Spears Brandishes Gun in "Criminal" Video
Britney Spears knows how to keep her boyfriend in line.
Showing off her sexy legs in a pair of tight leather
shorts, the 29-year-old pop star filmed scenes for her
"Criminal" music video in London Monday. Wielding a
pistol, Spears was joined by her real-life beau Jason
Trawick, who donned a black ski mask for his first
cameo.
In one scene, Spears and Trawick rob a grocery store
together.
"I've never shot on location out of the country of
America for a video, so it should be really
interesting," Spears told AOL before the shoot. "It was
partly my idea, and they were like, 'Yeah, it's a great
idea,' so we did it."
The singer is currently overseas to perform throughout
Europe, with stops in France, Germany, Belgium,
Switzerland and Denmark.

Lady Gaga Goes From Penis Stilettos to Fan-Faced
Footwear
Lady Gaga never ceases to amaze with her crazy footwear
couture, but her latest statement was more sweet than
shocking. Mother monster who was censored by Fox for
wearing penis stilettos on American Idol earlier this
year showed off a new footwear trend, wearing faces of
fans on her mega-platforms.
While chatted with E! News’ Giuliana Rancic about her
Viva Glam Campaign with M.A.C., the host couldn’t help
but to comment on her “amazing” shoes.
“I guess about a foot, maybe more, they have the fans’
faces on them,” Gaga said when asked how high the
platforms were.
Definitely a sweet sentiment behind the fan portraits on
Gaga’s feet.
Gaga also spoke about her alter ego Jo Calderone’s
return to the spotlight.
“I don’t know how soon, but I’m sure Jo will want to
perform again,” Gaga said. “I don’t think he can help
himself really.”
Gaga made headlines earlier this week for a very
revealing and public wardrobe malfunction.
Unfortunately, Gaga wasn’t wearing any undies while out
in NYC, showing her lady parts to the world when the
slit of her red dress moved from one side to the center
of her body.
The moment was capture by paparazzi, revealing her
genital piercing to the world.

Justin Bieber is just 17, but he's already
marriage-minded.
When asked by Women's Wear Daily where he sees himself
in five years, the teen sensation didn't mince words.
"Well, by 25 or 26, I want to see myself, like, married
or start looking for a family," Bieber says. "I want to
be a young dad. I want to be able to have done what I
wanted to do – to be successful, to do a movie or
whatever."
But those with Bieber fever should still cool out for
the moment.
"One thing," he adds. "I'm not looking to get married
now."
One person who can't be ruled out as his future spouse
is current love Selena Gomez, whom Bieber calls
"amazing."
"She's my girlfriend right now," he confirms to the
magazine.
He also points out that even as he thinks about the
future, he still acts like a teenager.
"I love to play sports and stuff," he says. "I love just
hanging out with my friends. I'm just a regular
17-year-old. I grew up playing hockey so I like to get
on the ice every once in a while. I love to play
basketball and I try to play soccer as much as I can."

Singing starlet Selena Gomez is turning to fans this
fall to help her find the right notes -- of her new
fragrance!
The 19-year-old "Love You Like a Love Song" singer
announced last month that she was in the process of
working on her first signature scent. But since her fans
are the ones who will be spritzing the fragrant mix, she
wants to ensure that they get a say.
According to Women's Wear Daily, "her fans will be
invited to log on to selenagomezperfumes.com later this
fall to vote on accords and ingredients they prefer for
the fragrance. The most popular notes will be
incorporated into the finished scent. The first 50,000
participants will receive a free sample of the fragrance
and will be entered into a drawing to win a tour of the
fragrance lab with Gomez."
"I am excited to make my own fragrance that is romantic,
rich and sweet," Gomez told WWD. "I wanted to make a
fragrance that is able to make my fans feel special."
Although the final potion has yet to be decided, some
may wonder if it will layer nicely with Gomez's

There was a point last season when Jennifer Lopez didn't
know whether she would return to American Idol.
"I got a little bit tired at the end with everything
going on in my life at the time," says Lopez, whose
split with husband Marc Anthony was announced less than
two months after the finale.
But at a news conference in Savannah, Ga., where the

with" and that she enjoyed working with the contestants
as well as fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler

Earlier this month, producer Nigel Lythgoe had made it
official, announcing that Lopez was coming back for a

Joe Jonas Celebrates His Birthday Early in Las Vegas
Joe Jonas got a jumpstart on his 22nd birthday
celebrations in Las Vegas – in a big way.
Starting off Saturday, Jonas, whose actual birthday is
Aug. 15, caused a splash at Liquid Pool Lounge when he
spent the afternoon poolside in a VIP cabana with pals.
"Female fans surrounded the area, trying to get a
glimpse of [Joe] in his bathing suit," a source tells
PEOPLE.
Following his fun in the sun, Jonas and his entourage
then headed to the Bellagio Hotel where they were
treated to a meal from Akira Back, the executive chef at
Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge.
After dinner, Jonas and friends made a quick stop at
Deuce Lounge, where they played blackjack – and drew
another crowd.
"Joe was swarmed by nearly 20 female fans dying to get
an autograph or photo with [him]," the source says.
"After signing a few autographs and meeting with fans,
Joe finally made it to Haze Nightclub where he rocked
the crowd with a special live set, performing tracks off
of his debut solo album FastLife."
"It's a coming-of-age record," Jonas told PEOPLE at the
event. "I want to present it to people my age – a little
bit older."
The performance, which ended at around 2:30 a.m., left
Jonas, who will soon join Britney Spears on her European
tour, in the VIP area where he was "chatting with a bevy
of beautiful girls." He also received a special
keyboard-shaped birthday cake.
"Girls were pushing to get near him," another source

Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony Together Again in
Hamptons
The backseat of a red Mustang convertible cushioned the
reunion of the recently split couple Jennifer Lopez and
Marc Anthony, who on Wednesday were seen together in the
snazzy vehicle near Sagg Main Beach in Southampton, N.Y.
The sighting (TMZ has the pic) – which instantly raised
questions about the status of the estranged duo's
relationship – comes nearly a month after Lopez and
Anthony announced exclusively to PEOPLE, "We have
decided to end our marriage" after seven years.
Only a reconciliation apparently wasn't the reason for
the Hamptons get-together. "The intention was to spend
time with his kids Emme and Max, and they had a
beautiful time. He's been with Max and Emme a few times
now," Anthony's rep tells PEOPLE.
In addition to his twins with Lopez, 3-year-old Max and
Emme, Anthony is father to three older children from
previous relationships.
This week also brought the news that Lopez is returning
to American Idol next season.

Taylor Swift Reunites With Exes Taylor Lautner & Joe
Jonas at TCAs; Wins Five Surfboards
Taylor Swift made her first ever appearance at the Teen
Choice Awards last night, and it was no surprise that
she was one of the evening’s biggest winners. The
22-year-old singing sensation won five surfboards,
including the Ultimate Choice Award, an honor marking
teen voters’ all-time favorite star! And of course the
country princess was as gracious as ever during her
acceptance speeches.
Taylor’s close pal Emma Stone presented her with the
Ultimate Choice Award, and she mentioned Taylor’s career
highlights including 20 million albums sold.
Hearing this accomplishment, Taylor raised both fists in
the air and cheered from her seat.
Before accepting the award, Taylor made sure to hug BFF
Selena Gomez who was sitting on one side of her and gal
pal Ashley Greene who was sitting on the other side. She
also gave Justin Bieber a warm embrace before taking the
stage to thank her fans.
“I’m so honored that you so passionately chose to give
me this award,” Taylor gushed. “Thank you so much.”
Amid all of her award excitement, Taylor also bonded
with her ex-boyfriends Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas!
After her wins, Taylor chatted with reporters backstage
about some advice she has for her teenage fans.
“I think the best advice that I ever got as a teenager
was to think about your actions, because if you are 80
years old looking back, you know if your dad calls you
at 8 in the morning and wants to go to breakfast, as a
teenager you are like, ‘No I want to sleep,’ and as an
80-year-old looking back, you go to breakfast with your
dad,” she shared. “It’s just those little decisions like
that.”
Taylor also opened up about what genre of music she has
been listening to most lately.
“Right now I am really going through a Beach Boys phase
and listening to like Beach Boys and the Sharones and
like all kinds of 50s and 60s music,” she shared.

Jennifer Lopez 'Very Happy' Celebrating Birthday in
Miami
Fresh from her split with husband Marc Anthony, Jennifer
Lopez, who turns 42 on Sunday, is living it up in Miami
to celebrate her birthday.
On Saturday night, Lopez and her entourage of 16 – which
included her mother, sister, manager and stylist –
enjoyed a lavish dinner at Scott Conant's restaurant,
Scarpetta, inside the Fontainebleau hotel.
With a view of the ocean, the group indulged in a menu
of authentic Italian dishes, including spaghetti with
tomato and basil, foie gras ravioli and polenta.
"Jennifer looked radiant in a purple and silver evening
dress," a source tells PEOPLE. "And when they brought
out her birthday cake after the meal, she began to sing.
She was very happy. The whole group had a blast, staying
for hours. They closed down the restaurant."
Earlier in the day, Lopez worked up an appetite with a
shopping spree, visiting the high-end boutiques at Bal
Harbour Shops just north of South Beach. She bought
several baby outfits for her 3-year-old twins, Emme and
Max, at Bonpoint of Paris, and shopped at Hermes, Dolce
& Gabbana, Valentino and Pucci.
On Friday night, after swimming in her condo pool with
friends and family, including little Emme, Lopez and
seven others enjoyed a pre-birthday dinner at the Wine
Cellar of the Forge on Miami Beach, a favorite spot
where she has dined with Anthony.
"Jennifer and her group arrived around 9 p.m. and went
directly to the private wine cellar for a pre-birthday
dinner," a source tells PEOPLE. "It was very secluded
and beautiful among the bottles with bold and vibrant
labels. The meal was served on a long rectangle mirrored
table with cloud-like chandeliers hanging above."
According to the source, Lopez, who wore a long,
brightly colored geometric patterned dress, was in great
spirits. "She was chatty and charming," the source says.
For a surprise, the Forge's pastry chef created a
special chocolate soufflé. It was presented to Lopez
shortly after their meal, which started with appetizers
of lobster peanut butter and jelly, a Forge specialty.
"Jennifer absolutely loved it," the source tells PEOPLE.
"When the waiters brought the soufflé, they sang 'Happy
Birthday' to her while pouring everyone a crystal goblet
of champagne."

Justin Timberlake: I'm No
Expert on Love
He's wooed women from Britney Spears to Jessica Biel,
but Justin Timberlake won't be adding "dating guru" to
his rapidly expanding resumé any time soon.
"I should not give anybody love advice," the newly
single singer-actor, 30, who announced his split from
Biel in March, told PEOPLE at Monday's Friends with
Benefits premiere in New York. "Yeah, listen to a single
male – yeah, that will work out."
Expertise aside, Timberlake says he is dating again. His
latest contender? Cpl. Kelsey De Santis, who asked him
via YouTube to accompany her to the Marine Corps Ball in
Washington, D.C.
Timberlake said he has yet to meet or even speak with
his date, but he is committed to attending the Nov. 12
dance. "I'm still trying to work out my schedule to make
it happen for her, but I was flattered," he says. "And
honestly, I will do everything I can to make it."
Another marine also publicly courted Timberlake's
costar, Mila Kunis, 27, to attend the event in
Greenville, N.C. – and she plans on accompanying Sgt.
Scott Moore.
As child stars, both Kunis and Timberlake missed an
important high-school event, so Kunis is especially
delighted to go to this formal dance.
"I didn't go [to my high-school prom]. I went to a
semiformal that wasn't at my school," she said. "So I'm
definitely excited."

How Harper Seven Beckham Got Her Name
David and Victoria Beckham are spending quiet family
time together welcoming their new arrival – and first
baby girl – Harper Seven Beckham, and relishing their
privacy, a rep for the couple tells PEOPLE.
But the question lingers: How did the parents of three
boys – Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8½, and Cruz, 6½ – ever
arrive at the name Harper, let alone Seven?
It may not be as complicated as you think. Harper is an
old English name that Victoria has always loved, PEOPLE
has learned, and seven is considered a very lucky
spiritual number.
In addition, Harper Seven was born Sunday morning in
L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center weighing 7 lbs. (and
10 oz.) in the seventh hour in the seventh month – on
the seventh day of the week.
As sports fans can't help but also note, seven was
David's jersey number for Manchester United and the
English national team.
Speaking of numbers, the Irish bookmaking firm of Paddy
Power has offered odds of 100:1 on Harper's following in
dad’s footsteps and going out for the England Women’s
team. The odds of her becoming a singer in the mode of
her former Spice Girl mom are 16:1.

Jessica Simpson’s Newest
Fragrance Is Inspired by Love
Jessica Simpson is no stranger to falling under love’s
intoxicating spell, and the feeling is so great, she
wanted to bottle it!
So the fashion mogul created a new fragrance, I Fancy
You, designed to conjure up memories of discovering what
it means to be in love.
“I am so excited to introduce my fourth and final
fragrance of the Fancy Collection, I Fancy You,” Simpson
said in a statement, referencing the theme of amour
found in her perfumes.
“This floral scent is romantic and feminine and conjures
up the feelings of a first love that makes you realize
that love can last forever … I Fancy You!”
The fragrance, a collaboration between Simpson and
perfumer Cécile Hua of MANE, is a soft, velvety floral
musk with notes of juicy pear, savory Fuji apple and
bergamot orange.
Simpson stuck with the romance motif right down to the
bottle design, choosing a pale blue capsule with tiny
hearts, inspired by a vintage fragrance bottle in her
personal collection.

Justin Timberlake Can't Play Sports
He can hold his own on stage and screen, but Justin
Timberlake should probably stay away from basketball
courts. And wrestling rings.
The singer-actor, 30, shows off his athletic – and comic
– side in a promotional video for ESPN's July 13 ESPY
Awards, which honors the finest and fittest in sports.
"That was yours," Timberlake, who played host at the
2008 ceremony, wisecracks in the video when he misses a
lob during a game of volleyball.
His sportsmanship fails – but comedic victories
continue: He wears a cape to a wrestling match, uses his
field hockey stick as a dancing cane and pleads with his
swim team mates as he's about to hit the diving board,
"Hey, don't look at my butt."
At next week's ESPYs, Timberlake will present the
Capital One Cup, which recognizes top college athletes.
And go ahead and look at his butt.

Britney Spears break from her Femme Fatale!
She's usually the one performing, but Britney Spears
took a break from her Femme Fatale tour for some
entertainment with beau Jason Trawick and her boys,
Preston and Jayden. The pop star caught dance crew
Jabbawockeez's show MUS.I.C. at Las Vegas's Monte Carlo
Resort and Casino. Laughing and cheering with the rest
of the audience, Spears seemed to thoroughly enjoy the
show and even bounced in her seat to Beyoncé's "Single
Ladies (Put a Ring on It)." On her way out, the pop star
also scored some goodie bags.
Meanwhile, at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire Gwyneth
Paltrow cheered from a VIP area as her pal Beyoncé tore
through a powerhouse set while celebrating her new
album, 4. Guests, including a recovering Adele and
Stella McCartney, sipped Belvedere cocktails as they
watched the concert, which featured a mix of covers and
new songs, at the intimate venue.
A very happy, relaxed and pregnant Jessica Alba lunched
with a female friend at O! Burger in West Hollywood. On
the menu? An organic, grass-fed patty with Thousand
Island dressing, lettuce and tomato, which she washed
down with an iced tea. Alba and her friend sat on the
patio. "She was glowing," an onlooker says, "and so full
of energy."

Justin Bieber’s Male “Attacker” Was an Undercover Cop,
Report Says
Turns out Justin Bieber‘s male attacker — who reportedly
knocked the 17-year-old teen dream to the ground this
morning outside his fragrance event at Macy’s Herald
Square in NYC — was only trying to protect him as the
man is now being reported as an undercover cop.
When Justin was greeting his fans outside of the event,
the crowd reportedly became a little bit aggressive and
an undercover cop went to help him, TMZ reports.
But Bieber allegedly didn’t know the man, who was
dressed as a civilian, was a police officer and thought
he was a crazed fan, which reportedly made him
defensive.
Then a member of Justin’s security team grabbed the cop
away from JB.
TMZ reports that after the cop identified himself he
then “cited” the security team member for “disorderly
conduct.”
Luckily, everything was straightened out and there are
reportedly no hard feelings.

Britney Spears Defeat the Paparazzi in “I Wanna Go”
Music Video!
Britney Spears has delivered another strong music video,
for her hip-moving, dance floor hit “I Wanna Go.” The
pop princess takes a strong stance against the paparazzi
who plague her existence in the clip and shows off her
toned abs, along with some fun pink punk streaks in her
blonde locks!
“Find out all the answers to your burning questions
right here in the #IWannaGo video. I LOVE it & hope you
do too. -Brit” she Tweeted today, along with the new
four-and-a-half minute clip.
The video opens with Britney sitting through a press
conference, where reporters ask outlandish questions
like, “Is it true you banned junk food, smiles, candy,
sunshine and laughter from your Femme Fatale Tour?” and
“Can you confirm reports that you’re pregnant with Brad
Pitt’s love child?”
She answers sarcastically to the second: “That is false:
It’s quintuplets.”
Brit gets so annoyed with the bombardment of ridiculous
questions that she lashes out with a “F— you” to the
reporters.
But, luckily she has one guy on her side — Weeds and
Half Baked star Guillermo Diaz, who becomes her
companion.
Then Brit takes to the streets to defend her honor.
At one point, Brit stands on a yellow cab, paparazzi
surround her from all angles and she whips her
microphone around as a weapon, knocking the paps from
their predatory spots.
Brit wears a cut-off T-shirt with the image of a skull
Mickey Mouse ears, from her single’s cover art, as she
sings, “Lately I’ve been stuck imaginin’/ What I wanna
do and what I really think, time to blow out/ Be a
little inappropriate ’cause I know that everybody’s/
Thinkin’ it when the lights out/ Shame on me/ To need
release/ Un-uncontrollably.”
At the end of video, Brit returns to the press
conference, where she awakes from the daydream and says,
“Guillermo, I had the strangest dream.”
“I love dreams,” he tells her. “And seashells,” he says,
as he puts some in her hand. “Come on, let’s get out of
here.” The video was directed by Chris Marrs Piliero.

Jon Bon Jovi on Crutches After Strain
Jon Bon Jovi is unstoppable! During Bon Jovi's concert
at Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Finland Friday, Jon, 49,
suffered an MCL strain. The injury occurred an hour into
the band's nearly three-hour set, but neither the
incident nor the torrential downpour could keep the
rocker from finishing the sold-out show.
"Fans need not worry -- Jon is in good health and future
shows will not be affected," Matt Bongiovi, co-CEO of
Backstage With Jon Bon Jovi Fan Club, informed the
band's nearly 13 million Facebook fans.
Jon is currently on crutches while he recovers; Bon Jovi
will headline Hard Rock Calling next weekend in London.

Selena Gomez: I Make Mistakes
All the Time
Selena Gomez never planned on being a role model. But
after finding fame at an early age, the 18-year-old
actress and singer has learned to embrace it.
"I never really said I want to be a role model. But then
when it happened I was so down for it," Gomez says on
the upcoming E! Entertainment Special: Selena Gomez,
which will premiere June 29. "I'm human, I'm not
perfect. I make mistakes all the time, but I guess my
job is to keep those mistakes to myself, which I'm
already fine doing and just try to be the best I can be
for those kids."
The pop star recently hit a rough patch when she had to
miss an appearance after being hospitalized due to
malnourishment and exhaustion, but she returned to the
stage days later to the delight of her fans.
While the Texas-born beauty has enjoyed much success at
a young age, she didn't have an easy childhood and she
struggled with her parents' divorce.
"I wanted a family so bad. I wanted to have my dad and
my mom together. So it was really, it was really hard,"
she says.
While Gomez, whose high-profile romance with Justin
Bieber has made headlines, seems comfortable in the
limelight, she says it's easy to get caught up in the
fame.
"This is a very superficial job," Gomez says. "I sit in
a chair for two hours and get hair and makeup done and
talk about [myself] in interviews. That's a very vain
thing to do. And I do get caught up in it sometimes."

Britney Spears Earns Raves for Femme Fatale Tour Opener
Britney Spears tweeted ahead of her Femme Fatale kickoff
concert in Sacramento, Calif. Thursday.
And according to to multiple reviews, the pop star
didn't disappoint. Performing a mix of her greatest hits
("Toxic" and "I'm a Slave 4 U") and new songs ("Big Fat
Bass" and "I Wanna Go"), Spears, 29, dazzled in a series
of skimpy stage costumes during the sold-out show.
Describing it as "her flashiest, fastest moving, and
most entertaining production yet," Rolling Stone said
that while tour-opener Nicki Minaj, 26, brought her
A-game, "the night belonged to Britney: She managed to
prove that she's still progressing as a showgirl. Not
only that, she's doing it better than even die-hard
defenders would've predicted."
Pink Is the New Blog also praised the "Hold It Against
Me" singer, pointing out that "there are parts of the
show where it is very obvious that she is singing, and
she sounded fantastic. As for the dancing, well, it
seems that Spears has really stepped up her game in that
department as well."
The Sacramento Bee wrote that while "Spears performed
like a pro throughout the show, hitting all her marks,
she had shown hesitancy in her movements -- natural for
the first stop on a tour. But that hesitancy vanished
when she put on the denim. She seemed at ease."
As for Spears' take on the night? "Can't sleep. Way too
much adrenaline right now," she tweeted after the show.
"Sacramento was on fire tonight. You ready San Jose?
Cause I am!"

Selena Gomez Goes Blonde for ‘Billboard’ Cover & Says
She Admires Shia LaBeouf’s Career
Selena Gomez is working hard on expanding her career now
that she’s moved on from Wizards of Waverly Place and
there’s one actor she’d love emulate — Shia Labeouf.
The 18-year-old singer/Monte Carlo actress/Justin
Bieber‘s girlfriend covers the new issue of Billboard
and discusses her career of being both an actress and
singer.
“It’s obviously an important phase in my career, and
personally,” Selena tells Billboard. “The good news is I
have been juggling acting and singing for two-and-a-half
to three years. But I have to start over in some areas.
It’s interesting to start taking risks, to grow up
through my music.”
And she has an actor whose career she looks up to.
“[Shia LaBeouf]. He did it really well,” she says. “He’s
talented and doing wonderful things. Everybody has their
own vision of how they want things to play out …
Eventually I hope to make a record in Spanish. I don’t
do anything that’s not organic.”
And Selena is trying to accept what comes with her
celebrity.
“I have a love-hate relationship with the Internet,” The
Biebs’ main squeeze explains. “I don’t like it in
general — it’s vicious. But it’s also incredibly that I
can connect with fans, because I love to hear their
feedback and let them know about my life.”

grueling concert? For starters, it involves mindful

Britney Spears has been going after Kellan Lutz!
Sources confirm that the Twilight hunk was offered to
play the pop singer’s steamy boy-toy in the video for
her third single, “I Wanna Go.”
However, Mr. Lutz politely declined. The news, first
reported by Hollywood Life, comes just a couple of weeks
after Spears and Lutz met for the first time when he
attended her Beverly Hills fundraiser earlier this month
for the St.
Bernard Project’s ongoing Hurricane Katrina relief
efforts. The video, being shot in L.A. today and
tomorrow, Lutz apparently would have rescued Spears from
pesky paparazzi before going on to lock lips in the
backseat of a car.
Hunky character also turns out to be a robot. No word on
who eventually snagged the part, but sources deny the
report that Matthew McConaughy was also approached about
the gig.

Joe Jonas: Solo Album 'A Whole New Experience'
The elder singer among the Jonas Brothers has been
working solo on what he calls a bit of a "coming of age"
album.
“I wanted to be really honest with what I wrote about,
whether good or bad, I think it's a coming of age record
to it has a feel you can play in the club, but also
there are songs that I think are heartfelt," the
21-year-old told PEOPLE while hosting a party Saturday
at Tao Las Vegas.
Since brothers Kevin and Nick were not constantly with
him as he recorded his solo album – which will be
released in September – he said the recording process
was different.
"It's a whole new experience for me. I mean, a good
experience, because I'm able to write songs that I have
been wanting to write for a long time. It's completely
brand new to me," he said.
But rest assured, Jonas Brothers fans, the group isn't
breaking up. According to Joe, they're "just taking a
little break right now."

Britney Spears To Perform With Rihanna & Nicki Minaj At
Billboard Music Awards
Britney Spears will take the stage at Sunday's Billboard
Music Awards, according to a new report.
The pop star is reportedly headed to Sin City this
weekend for two surprise performances at the Billboard
event, according to Us Weekly.
Sources told the mag that the 29-year-old artist will
take the stage with Rihanna - possibly for the opening
number -- then again with rapper Nicki Minaj (who is
slated to join the "Hold It Against Me" singer on her
summer tour).
"It's gonna be big," one source told the mag. "People
will definitely be talking about it the next day."
Additionally, Us reported that Britney and Rihanna will
perform their remixed version of Riri's "S&M," while
Brit and Nicki will join forces for Britney's latest

transition from one tour to the next and not miss a
beat," Nicki told Access in a recent interview, about
her upcoming tour with the pop princess. "We're going to
put our all into this and make it exciting, very
different than the last one, but still keep it grounded
in hip hop, still make it bright and fun and

Pink Objects to Pink Horses in Selena Gomez's Music
Video
It may be her signature color, but Pink is upset about
horses being painted pink for the sake of a music video.
"If there are any animal activists around Malibu – at
Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted
for a stupid music video. Shame," Pink said on her
Twitter page on Thursday.
Turns out the painted horses were being used in Selena
Gomez's latest video.
"Artists should be more aware and responsible for their
actions," Pink later tweeted.
But Gomez's rep says the horses were not in any danger.
"It was important to the Production Company, Record
Label and Ms. Gomez that no animals were harmed and all
proper precautions were taken," Gomez's rep said in a
statement to PEOPLE. "A non toxic, vegetable based
powder paint was applied via an airbrush and removed
with water. An official from the Humane Society was on
set supervising."

Britney Spears Reveals Tour-Ready Abs
For most people, the idea of working out for more than
six hours a day might sound like nothing short of
torture.
But Britney Spears can't get enough. For the last six
weeks, she's been training for 90 minutes a day,
followed by another five hours of dance rehearsals in
preparation for her North American tour, kicking off
June 16 in Sacramento.
"I'm pumped up!" Spears tells PEOPLE inside her cozy
dressing room on the Sony lot in Culver City, Calif.
"We've been working hard. And the costumes are coming
next week. This is the exciting part, when all the
pieces – the masterpiece – come together."
During Spears's month and a half of prep time, trainer
Derek DeGrazio has cooked, packaged and labeled meals
(like baked fish and broccoli) and snacks (such as
celery with almond butter) for the 29-year-old pop star,
six days a week.
She does get a break from all the discipline, though.
Sunday, says Spears, is her "cheat day."
But it's certainly not derailing her efforts. Spears's
workouts and her 1,500-calorie-a-day nutrition plan have
whipped her into top tour shape.
"You can see the tone in her muscles – her arms, legs
and abs," says DeGrazio. "She looks amazing."

Justin Bieber: It's 'Lame' That I Was Called a 'Brat'
Justin Bieber probably won't be invited back to the CSI
set if the show's star Marg Helgenberger has anything to
say about it.
Almost a year after Bieber, 17, filmed a guest spot on
the hit CBS series, Helgenberger recalls the experience
as less than pleasant.
"I probably shouldn't say this, but he was kind of a
brat," the Emmy-winning actress, 52, said Friday in an
interview with the French radio show Le Grand Direct des
Medias.
Although Helgenberger admits the "Baby" singer was
"nice" to her, she claims he "locked one of the
producers in a closet and he put his fist through a cake
that was on the craft services table."
The actress's comments did not go over well with the
Biebs, who took to his Twitter account to call her out.
"It's kinda lame when someone you met briefly and never
worked with comments on you," the pop star wrote on
Monday. "I will continue to wish them luck and be kind."
Calling Helgenberger's comments "rumors," Bieber added,
"I know who i am and sometimes people r just going 2 say
what they want. Keep ur head up and be the man ur mama
raised. #killemwithkindness."

Paula Abdul Joining X Factor as Judge
Simon Cowell is relying on a familiar face for the
launch of his new show, The X Factor.
The AP reports that American Idol alum Paula Abdul has
signed on as its fourth judge, citing a source close to
the negotiations. She'll join a judging panel with
British singer Cheryl Cole, former Def Jam president
L.A. Reid and Cowell when the talent competition
premieres on Fox in the fall.
Abdul herself confirmed the news on Sunday to Reuters
TV, saying, "I'm thrilled. It's a show you don't have to
calculate or guess how you're going to approach it. I
walk into this, it's a new journey. It's a brand new
show and a new experience."
Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger and British TV personality
Steve Jones will co-host the show.
Reps for Cowell and Fox did not immediately respond to
requests for a comment.
Cowell had long been clear about his hope that his
friend Abdul would join the show.
"She's very passionate and she cares," he told PEOPLE
earlier this year. "And she has good taste in music,
though you didn't always see that on TV."

Selena Gomez: 'I Don't Like Hiding' My Relationship with
Justin Bieber
Despite donning matching outfits on Oscar night and
essentially coming out as a couple, Selena Gomez and
Justin Bieber have still been coy about their
relationship.
But now Gomez, who calls their Oscar after-party date
"our prom," admits she's sick of acting like her romance
with the pop star, 17, doesn't exist.
"I don't like hiding," Gomez tells Seventeen magazine.
"I do like to keep certain things to myself, but at the
end of the day, I'm 18 and I'm going to fall in love.
I'm going to hang out with people and I'm going to
explore myself, and I'm okay with that."
Her love life may seem just peachy now, but Gomez
confesses she's had her heart broken in the past.
"When I went through my first breakup, I thought it was
the end of the world, and I thought I was going to die
if I didn't have him in my life," she says. "It was good
to cry it out and just scream, or call my friends in the
middle of the night crying."
Speaking of relationships, Gomez says that she'll always
have a special place in her heart for her pal Demi
Lovato, who recently completed treatment for emotional
and physical issues.
"There's an amount of love that can never – no matter
what – be taken away or torn apart, no matter the
situation," says Gomez who calls "best friend" labels
"so ridiculous." "There are certain people who you will
always, always love, so if anything, this just reminded
me of how much I truly love her."

Fatale is one of the Top 10 longest running trending
topics on Twitter.

Demi Lovato's Upcoming Role: Bridesmaid
Tiffany Thornton has been there for Demi Lovato lately.
Soon, Lovato will get to repay the favor.
"Demi is one of my bridesmaids!" Thornton, 25, who got
engaged this winter, tells PEOPLE of her costar on
Disney Channel's Sonny with a Chance. "We go way back.
She's like a little sister to me. She's one of my
closest friends."
Thornton has been supporting Lovato, 18, during her
treatment for eating disorders and bipolar disorder in
recent months. That means texts, tweets and good
old-fashioned girl time.
"We love Pinkberry!" Thornton said at Tuesday's Voices
of Meningitis luncheon in New York. "We hang out a lot,
we talk about our faith. I just really enjoy spending
time with her."
The two have been pals since they started filming Sonny
with a Chance in 2009. Thornton's sisterly concern for
Lovato is clear. "You could tell she was always tired,"
she said. "She works more than any person I have ever
known in my entire life."
Lovato recently said she won't return to Sonny with a
Chance, so she can focus on her music career. In that,
she has the full support of her Disney Channel friends.
"I'll miss Demi," says Thornton. "I'm really proud of
her. It takes a lot of guts to admit that you aren't
perfect in front of the world."

Miley Cyrus says her family is fine
Miley Cyrus says she feels more at ease heading out on
an international tour now that things are fine on the
home front.
Earlier this year, her parents, Billy Ray and Tish
Cyrus, were getting a divorce, and her father was
critical of his daughter's behavior. But the Cyruses
recently called of their divorce and the family is
spending time together.
"I think it's good, especially when you go on the road.
You have to make sure everyone is happy before you start
traveling, you're away. My family is good. They are
stoked for tour. As long as I'm happy they are happy,"
Cyrus said in an interview on Thursday.
The former "Hannah Montana" star is leaving for South
America and Australia on April 27 for her Gypsy Heart
Tour. It will be the first time Cyrus, whose most recent
album is titled "Can't Be Tamed," has gone to South
America, and she's excited — even though she won't be
able to communicate with her fans in their language.
"I speak zero Spanish. I actually failed Spanish so I
will have someone with me making sure I can get through
my way," she said.
She recently released one of the album's songs, "Every
Rose Has Its Thorn," in Australia, and said she's
excited to sing the Poison cover (which featured Bret
Michaels) there live.
But she won't be releasing that song in the United
States, and right now, she has no plans to tour in her
native country either.
"I just think right now America has gotten to a place
where I don't know if they want me to tour or not. Right
now I just want to go to the places where I am getting
the most love and Australia and South America have done
that for me," she said. "Kind of going to the places
where I get the most love. Don't want to go anywhere
where I don't feel completely comfortable with it."

Demi Lovato Opens Up About "Life-Long" Eating Disorde
Demi Lovato has been to hell and back -- and the
18-year-old Disney star is finally ready to tell her
story.
In a new interview with Seventeen (via RadarOnline), the
Sonny With a Chance star finally opens up about the
"life-long" eating disorder that forced her into rehab
last November.
"I don't think there's going to be a day when I don't
think about food or my body," Lovato admits, "but I'm
living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to
find their safe place and stay with it."
"There have been times when I definitely have been
tempted to get rid of my dinner," she continues. "I will
deal with it for the rest of my life because it's a
life-long disease."
Since leaving the undisclosed rehab facility in January,
Lovato -- who is now a contributing editor for Seventeen
-- says she has a new lease on life.
"I allow myself a lot of freedom and I'm very peaceful
now," she tells the mag.
The brave young star hopes that by sharing her story,
she can help young girls who face similar struggles.
"It's very crucial that you get your feelings out, but
don't ever inflict harm on your own body because your
body is so sacred," Lovato cautions. "If you are going
through that dark period, go to your family and closest
friends. Don't put yourself in danger."

Gwen Stefani Had a ‘Real Problem’ With Makeup Artists
We’ve always loved Gwen Stefani‘s immaculate makeup: the
signature bright red lips, those luscious long lashes.
So it’s no surprise to hear that the singing star
learned the tricks of the trade at a young age. “I
started in seventh grade,” Stefani shares in the latest
issue of ELLE. “We had home economics, and they’d bring
someone in to show you how to put your makeup on.” And
her studies in cosmetology continued through college,
where she majored in art.
“I can draw and paint. That’s my background,” she
explains. When touring solo, or with her No Doubt
bandmates, the L’Oreal Paris spokesmodel does all her
own stage makeup. “I learn from makeup people now, but
in the past I had a real problem with makeup artists,”
Stefani admits.
“I remember my first experience with a makeup artist was
doing the first No Doubt album, the one that was
shelved. Go back and look at how ugly I look. It is the
worst makeup … From that time on, I’m thinking, I’m not
going to let someone do my makeup, because they don’t
know how to do it.” She’s happy to let hair stylists
work their magic, though.
“For the last couple tours I’ve had hair people, which
is the luxury of my life,” she says. “I’m like, ‘Why did
I do it myself this whole time?’” And in an industry
where looks mean everything, Stefani isn’t ashamed to
admit she cares about her ultra-glam outward appearance.
“I mean, I’m very vain. That would be my middle name,”
she says. “Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love
the visual.”

Kids' Choice Awards: Johnny Depp Slimes the Audience
Johnny Depp has wielded every sort of weapon imaginable
in his various movie roles, but Saturday night the actor
tried his hand at something equally powerful: a slime
blaster.
While accepting high honors for best movie actor at the
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards live from the USC Galen
Center in Los Angeles, Depp pointed the pump toward his
screaming young fans, shooting out streams of the
network's signature green goo.
"You guys are the future," Depp, 47, told the crowd just
before he unleashed the slime. "Take good care of us."
Also accepting a bright orange blimp at Saturday's
ceremony: Wizards of Waverly Place's Selena Gomez (for
best TV actress), The Last Song's Miley Cyrus (for best
movie actress) and Katy Perry (best female singer), who
was not in attendance. Justin Timberlake was recognized
not for a movie or his music, but for his charitable
efforts, earning the Big Help Award.
"I want to dedicate this to all of you very cool, very
loud kids," Timberlake said on stage. "This is your
world."

Shakira confirms 'sunshine' romance with Gerard Pique on
her own Facebook!
Pop star Shakira has confirmed her rumoured relationship
with Barcelona star Gerard Pique, by posting a picture
of the couple together on her facebook.
The Waka Waka singer was first linked to the Spanish
footballer last year, but dismissed the reports by
saying: 'Me and Pique together? That’s a waka-rumour.'
But now it seems Shakira is ready to confirm the pair
are dating, posting a photo of the couple with the
caption: 'Les presento a mi sol.'
While this literally translates as 'I present to you my
sun', 'sol' is generally used in this context to
describe someone as being the centre of their world.
The 34-year-old Colombian announced her split from
long-term boyfriend Antonio de la Rua in January.
The pair issued a joint statement at that point saying:
'During our almost 11 years together, we have loved each
other deeply, taken care of each other and stood by one
another.
'They have been the most wonderful years of our lives,
and thanks to that love and the respect we share for one
another we have been an exceptional couple and partners.
Our friendship is unwavering and indestructible.’

Enrique Iglesias Drops Britney Spears Tour Because of
His Ego?
First it was announced that Enrique Iglesias would join
Britney Spears on her summer tour, then he bailed,
releasing a statement confirming he wouldn’t be joining
her. Some say there is still a chance, and it’s just
contractual issues holding Enrique back. Reportedly, the
Latin American singer’s “ego” is having a tough time
sharing the spotlight with the beloved pop princess.
TMZ reports that Enrique bailed on the upcoming Britney
concert tour “because his ego couldn’t handle being her
opening act.”
Lawyers and agents from both camps were trying to reach
an agreement for weeks, according to TMZ, and the terms
were eventually hammered out so that Enrique, who is
currently on tour right now, appeared to be a
co-headliner. The agreement was allegedly made in time
for Tuesday’s announcement.
But Enrique allegedly went to the press, because he felt
he was still Britney’s opening act and he wanted out.
A source tells TMZ that the original deal was very
“great terms and great placement” for Enrique, but
allegedly the face of him taking the stage before Brit
was something he was not happy about, forcing him to
want out.
It seems now that unless Enrique is treated as a
co-headliner, with all the benefits that Brit gets, he
will not be taking part.
Billboard.com first reported that Enrique back out of
the tour, and then followed up with a report suggesting
that negotiations were being made to get Enrique back
onboard.
The negotiations reported included money and the proper
perception.
“Iglesias is a headlining artist and has been for some
time, and would carry his own fully-themed production on
the tour,” the report said. “The language in the
carefully worded press release — which was withdrawn
from certain outlets shortly after it was sent today —
stated the pair would ‘tour together’ but stopped short
of calling it a ‘co-headlining’ tour, the phrase
commonly used for such superstar pairings as Billy Joel
and Elton John, for example.”
Enrique’s camp released a statement last night, which
read, in part:
Unfortunately, Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears will
not be touring together. Despite initial reports based
on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will
continue on his solo tour in support of his new album
EUPHORIA. Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a
longtime fan of her work. He is very sorry for the
confusion this might have caused to anyone.

Selena Gomez Blushes Over 'Prom' Date with Justin Bieber
Selena Gomez still isn't spilling the beans about her
relationship with Justin Bieber, but she has dropped
another hint.
On his CBS show Wednesday night, David Letterman asks
Gomez if he can show the audience a photo her
affectionate outing with Bieiber at Vanity Fair's Oscar
party.
"Oh, that's cute," Gomez, 18, says as the Late Show
audience lets out an "Awww!"
When asked point-blank if she's dating Bieber, Gomez
skirts the issue yet again. "It was like a little prom
night, wasn't it?" she says of that February evening.
"Looked like it."
Letterman presses for more details: "You guys look very
happy there," he says. "How long have you known him?"
"Uh, almost, like, two years now," Gomez replies.
"Two years? Where did you meet?" Letterman asks. "People
gotta meet somewhere, right?"
"Actually, his manager called my mom, who's my manager,"
Gomez says, to which Letterman jokes, "I heard he was
your paper boy."
Gomez replies, "I'm blushing!" and, under more
questioning, says finally, "He's been in my life for so
long, and it's just nice to have someone that
understands what you're going through."

Demi Lovato’s New Tattoo
Inspired By Her Fans
She’s already thanked her fans for their support, and
recently, Demi Lovato took her gratitude a step further.
In a video posted to cambio.com Tuesday, the 18-year-old
unveils her new tattoos, one on her left wrist which
reads “Stay” and another on the right that says
“Strong,” plus a tiny heart that represents the love of
her supporters.
“I wanted to thank my fans in a way I
know can never be forgotten,” she explains, adding that
while she was receiving treatment for “emotional and
physical issues” last year, many of her admirers drew

solidarity.

at it every day and remember you … and be completely

Selena Gomez Doesn’t Dig Justin Bieber’s Growing Facial
Hair
For Justin Bieber, it was a Tweet of glory. “im not
shaving for a month so you all can see my mustache.. im
pumped,” he told followers on March 5.
But to girlfriend Selena Gomez, it wasn’t the best news.
During an appearance on the Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM
Friday, Gomez told listeners that she didn’t encourage
her beau’s facial hair fun — and she wasn’t afraid to
tell him.
“You’ve gotta commit,” she told listeners. “You can’t
just be like, ‘All right, let me just do a little one.’”
Though Gomez explained that she’s not totally against
facial hair — “I like it,” she admitted, before adding
that she hates “soul patches” — she’s not sure Bieber’s
‘stache will reach its full potential in four short
weeks. “He … needs a little more time,” she laughed.

Two
Teen Fans Break Into Justin Bieber's Hotel Room
Two
teenage girls found a creative way to get into Justin
Bieber's room at the Hard Days and Night Hotel in
Liverpool, a source tells UK's Daily Mirror. "The hotel
was swamped by fans all desperate to catch a glimpse of
Justin, but two girls snuck in through a side entrance
and stole housekeeping outfits," says the source.
"After
ditching their regular clothes and slipping into their
new costumes they got the lift to Justin's suite and
knocked on the door, calling, 'Housekeeping.' Having
been allowed in, the girls began half-heartedly
polishing tables and dusting surfaces." No one was the
wiser, until the fans were left alone and began taking
cell phone pics of the 17-year-old "Baby" singer's
belongings and trying to get into his bed.
But the
source reports that the girls giggling eventually gave
them away. "The girls, following a telling-off, were
evicted from the premises," the source tells The Mirror. Bieber, who was not at the hotel at the time, was
reportedly "furious" and checked out.

Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel 'Wanted Different
Things'
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's three-and-a-half
year romance had simply run its course, a source tells
PEOPLE.
"It really was mutual," the source says. "There really
wasn't a final straw. They're just two people who
realized they wanted different things in life and were
headed in different directions."
Adds the source: "It was just easier to end it now
rather than later."
As for any rumors of Timberlake's infidelity during
their relationship, "There was never any proof," the
source adds. "When you're in a relationship, you have to
choose to believe the person or get out."
Last month, Timberlake, 30, and his Friends with
Benefits costar Mila Kunis were "pretty inseparable" at
an afterparty for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, but a
source said at the time that the pair – who lit up the
Oscars stage as co-presenters a couple of weeks later –
were just friends.
In October, another source shot down chatter that
Timberlake was cheating on Biel with actress Olivia
Munn.
Despite the infidelity rumors, Timberlake and Biel
continued to show a united front and spend quality time
together.
A different source who knows the couple said Biel
"looked the other way" when it came to Timberlake's
alleged cheating. The source says "it's been a rough
road" for the pair who denied rumors of a breakup in
2009 after spending some time apart due to busy work
schedules.
Biel is said to be doing "fine" – and is expected to
head to New Orleans next week to spend a few months
shooting the new film Playing the Field with Gerard
Butler and Uma Thurman.

Britney Spears Open To Eventual Plastic Surgery; Calls
Dieting 'Hell'
Britney Spears is open to the idea of going under the
knife someday.
"When it's time to pull and tuck, I'm sure I will
consider it," the pop star told Out magazine's April
"Ladies We Love" issue.
When asked what her idea of hell is, Brit told the mag,
"Being on a diet."
In the new interview, the singer - who famously locked
lips with Madonna at the 2003 VMAs - also said there
isn't a lady she loves enough for which she'd switch
teams.
"I only have eyes for men," the "Hold It Against Me"
singer said, but went on to explain that when comes to
gay marriage she thinks "everyone should be treated
equally."
According to Brit, her new album, "Femme Fatale," which
drops on March 29, will show off an adult side of the
pop star.
"I think 'Femme Fatale' is my most upbeat and mature
album yet," she explained. "I collaborated with
Will.i.Am. I am a huge fan of [the] Black Eyed Peas, and
I have always wanted to work with him. I also worked
with a new up-and-coming artist from the L.A. area named
Sabi. She raps on a song I love called (Drop Dead)
Beautiful.'"
When it comes to her contemporaries, the 29-year-old
said she is a fan of some of today's biggest music
stars.
"I love Gaga and Rihanna. Rihanna's "S & M" is awesome,"
she said, going on to call Gaga "unique" and Christina
Aguilera "truly talented."
In another candid moment, Brit spoke about who she
thought she might have been in a previous life, if
reincarnation exists.
"Audrey Hepburn, because she was a trend setter," she
said, adding in her next life that she like to come back
as a bird. "So I can fly."
In addition to Britney, Madonna will also appear on a
dual cover of Out's "Ladies We Love" issue debuting on
March 14.

Miley Cyrus Answers Her Critics on Saturday Night Live!
Miley Cyrus didn't hold back on Saturday Night Live.
Whether it was the leaked video showing her smoking
salvia or her racy Vanity Fair photo shoot, Cyrus used
the evening as an opportunity to mock her "bad deeds."
In The Miley Cyrus Show sketch, the actual Hannah
Montana star appeared as a guest — Justin Bieber.
Besides poking fun at his frequent winks and his
"swagger," Cyrus defended her salvia smoking incident to
Vanessa Bayer (as Miley), saying "there's no reason why
you wouldn't [smoke salvia], because it's totally
legal":
The actress/pop singer also used her monologue as an
opportunity to address her critics, apologizing for her
controversial Vanity Fair photo shoot and other
perceived missteps in the song "I'm Sorry That I'm Not
Perfect":
Cyrus mocked her wholesome TV upbringing with a sketch
about the "Disney Channel Acting School:"
On top of impersonating Bieber, Cyrus also played
Lindsay Lohan in a sketch lampooning Charlie Sheen and
his love of "winning" — which showed him interviewing
the week's biggest losers. Besides Lohan, other losers
included Christina Aguilera and John Galliano.

See the Posh Resort Where Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez
Spent the Night
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had a romantic, grown-up
evening -- in Lauren Conrad's homeland! -- on Saturday.
Before the pair finally took their romance public at an
Oscars after-party on Sunday night, Bieber, 16, and
Gomez, 18, stayed at a penthouse suite at the St. Regis
Monarch Beach in Dana Point, Calif. (just outside Laguna
Beach), a source tells UsMagazine.com.
During their stay at the posh, five-star resort, the
twosome were "affectionate, cuddling and holding hands"
while on a stroll along the beach, the source added.
Gomez and Bieber, who's about to embark on a worldwide
tour, capped off the night with a four-star dinner at
the resort's eatery Stonehill Tavern.
The next night, the couple arrived hand-in-hand at the
the Vanity Fair Oscars party at the Sunset Tower Hotel
-- their first red carpet appearance together since they
began dating in December.

Jake Gyllenhaal & Taylor Swift's Oscar Party Run-In
When exes Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal bumped into
each other at one of the Oscars's most exclusive
afterparties, it didn't look like they were engaging in
idle party chatter.
"They were outside near the restroom having a
discussion," a guest at the Vanity Fair bash tells
PEOPLE. "It seemed a bit more serious – it certainly
wasn't a 'Hi, how are you?' talk."
The musician, 21, and the actor, 30, started dating last
fall but broke up in December.
On Sunday night, Gyllenhaal and Swift were back together
for a short visit at the party, and while there was no
overt affection between the two. "It seemed like they
were catching up," says the source, "sorting something
out."
Soon after their chat, Gyllenhaal headed out while Swift
stayed and partied with two girlfriends. "They
completely kept to themselves," says the guest. "She
couldn't be bothered by anyone."

Lady Gaga: Marisa Tomei Should Play Me in a Movie!
According to the singer herself, it's a certain
Oscar-winning actress who, like her, is an
Italian-American New Yorker with sass to spare.
During a Friday radio interview on SiriusXM's The
Morning Mash Up, the 24-year-old singer (real name:
Stefani Germanotta) was asked who should play her in a
movie about her life.
"I've always been a big fan of Rosario Dawson," the star
mused at first. "Oh, you know what? I would have Marisa
Tomei play me. I am such a Marisa Tomei fan," the "Born
This Way" chanteuse said of Tomei, 46, who won an
Academy Award for playing a wise-cracking "guidette" in
1992's My Cousin Vinny and has kept busy with
high-profile movie roles ever since.
"All my friends call me Marisa when I get angry," Gaga
explained. "Because my New York accent just flies out of
my body and I start smacking my gum."
As for Gaga one day becoming a movie actress herself,
it's definitely a possibility, she said. "I think at
some point, yes," she said. "I think I'm sort of
destined for that screen at some point."
On Valentine's Day -- the day after she perplexed fans
with her egg-y entrance at the Grammys -- Gaga spent the
romantic day with some very special friends.
"I was in my bed with tons of shoes," she said. "I was
holding all my shoes, my Valentines."

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Files for Divorce from Pete Wentz
After nearly three years, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete
Wentz want out of their marriage.
"After careful consideration, we have made the difficult
decision to file for divorce," a rep for the stars tells
UsMagazine.com in a statement.
"We remain friends and deeply committed and loving
parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being
remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone
honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our
lives."
Citing "irreconcilable differences," Ashlee, 26, filed
papers in an L.A. court Wednesday, documents at TMZ
confirm. In the filing, she asks for joint legal and
primary physical custody of Bronx -- and seeks spousal
and child support.
After embarking on a romance in late 2006, the singer
and actress wed Fallout Boy rocker Wentz, 31, in May
2008 -- when she was about 3 months pregnant with their
son Bronx, now 2.
"They've been unhappy," an insider close to the couple
tells UsMagazine.com. "They're living two separate
lives."
Back in June 2009 -- just 13 months into their union --
Us Weekly reported serious friction and combative fights
between the newlyweds, who struggled to adjust to their
new roles as spouses and parents. "They fight
constantly," a source told Us at the time. "She is
seriously considering leaving him....They're in
different places."

Demi Lovato Finishes Treatment
Demi Lovato is starting the next phase of her life.
The actress, 18, finished her prescribed treatment at a
facility and is back home in L.A., a source close to
Lovato tells PEOPLE.
"She will continue to see doctors in L.A. who will help
her work on the issues she confronted in treatment,”
source says. "For now, she is getting back to her
regular routine and spending time with her family and
close friends. She is so grateful to all of her fans for
their support, and looks forward to being able to talk
to all of them very soon."
While her future professional plans remain unclear, "Demi
will continue to focus first and foremost on her
well-being."
Lovato checked into a treatment center for "emotional
and physical issues" in late October after a fight with
a dancer, Alex Welch, on the Jonas Brothers World Tour.
What was described as a "short, physical altercation"
was settled in time for Christmas, and Welch told PEOPLE
she is "ready to move on."
In November, a source close to the family told PEOPLE
that "Demi knows she needs the help and knows that she
is where she needs to be right now."
Earlier this month, the singer took to her official
Facebook page to express her gratitude to fans who stuck

Vanessa Hudgens Replaces Britney in Sexy, Leggy Ads
Britney Spears is making way for another sexy young
thing: Vanessa Hudgens!
After two years as the face (and bod!) of the Candie's
brand, the pop queen, 29, is handing over her crown to
the High School Musical star, 22.
For her first-ever candy-colored shoot, Hudgens posed
playfully at the Pink Hotel in Sun Valley, Calif.; in
one shot, Hudgens shows a lot of leg in skimpy denim
shorts as she lounges on an antique pink chair.
"So fun being a Candie's Girl! Look out for the @Candiesbrand
pics of their new girl, Vanessa Hudgens!" Spears
tweeted.
Replied Hudgens: "Thnx, @BritneySpears, you're a tough
act to follow ...but, I'm so excited to be the new
Candie's girl for 2011!! - xo"

Jennifer Lopez Wore $5 Million Worth of Jewels
Jennifer Lopez, 41, wasn't afraid to pile on the bling
when she showed up on the Golden Globes red carpet

Dressed in Zuhair Murad, the American Idol judge topped
off her look with a diamond paisley timepiece cuff (with
over 600 diamonds!), a diamond cluster brooch in her
hair and a diamond suspension ring with a 7 carat

But those jewels were nothing compared to Lopez's iconic

Justin Bieber Not Charged In
Laser Tag Brawl
Justin Bieber will not be facing any legal action
stemming from an October altercation the pop sensation
had at a laser-tag arcade in Canada.
Police have confirmed that there is not enough evidence
in the case in which a 12-year-old boy had claimed that
JB punched him in the face on Oct. 15 at Planet Lazer
Entertainment Center in Richmond, British Columbia.
Corporal Turley of the Richmond Royal Canadian Mounted
Police tell Radar Online, via Celebuzz,
“This investigation into the incident is now complete
and no charges will be forwarded as the evidence
collected [doesn't] support doing so.”
First reports involving the incident claimed JB was
kicked out of the Canadian laser tag arcade after he
allegedly punched the 12-year-old boy. The pop singing
sensation’s camp stood strongly behind him the whole
time, dismissing the allegations as “completely untrue.”
Later reports about the alleged altercation claimed the
16-year-old singer was in fact on the receiving end of
the bullying.

Taylor Swift Jake Gyllenhaal
Share Thanksgiving Maple Lattes
Families across the country spent their Thanksgiving
evenings tuning into Taylor Swift's NBC special Taylor
Swift: Speak Now. But where was the starlet spending her
Turkey Day?
In Brooklyn, alongside new boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.
Around 10:30 a.m., the pair popped into Park Slope's
Gorilla Coffee for specialty maple lattes, made with
pure Vermont syrup.
"They were really sweet, really really sweet," says a
source at the shop, adding that the duo also tipped
well.
"They get treated like normal people around here," says
the source, noting that Gyllenhaal, 29, deals with the
occasional star-struck customer politely.
The actor's sister Maggie Gyllenhaal lives near the
crowded neighborhood shop – which boasts loud music and
an energetic staff – and frequently stops in.
The source says that this was Swift's first time in the
shop. Being introduced to favorite family haunts? Sounds
like the singer-songwriter, 20, is being welcomed right
into the Gyllenhaal family lifestyle – one maple latte
at a time.

Miley Cyrus: How I'm
Celebrating My 18th Birthday
Miley Cyrus doesn't turn 18 for two more weeks, but the
singer already knows what her big birthday wish will be.
"[My family and I] need time to all be together," the
singer tells MTV News less than two weeks after her
parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, filed for divorce
after 17 years of marriage.
The star -- who is set to perform Sunday at the MTV
Europe Music Awards -- plans to have a low-key
celebration for her special day Nov. 23.
"I'm not going to go crazy; [just] have a fun party and
then maybe take a vacation with my family...because that
would be really cool," Cyrus tells MTV. "So that would
be rad if we could all go to the beach or something...I
have to be near the water and I love doing scuba and
going out and being on a boat."
Cyrus' parents announced their split Oct. 27 after Billy
Ray, 49, filed a divorce complaint citing
"irreconcilable differences." Sources tell Us Weekly the
"Achy Breaky Heart" crooner filed papers after learning
his wife, 43, had an affair with rocker Bret Michaels.
"As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for
our family," the Cyruses told Us in a joint statement at
the time papers were filed. "We are trying to work
through some personal matters. We appreciate your
thoughts and prayers."

Avril Lavigne Says She's
'Old-Fashioned'
She may not dress the part, but punk princess Avril
Lavigne is really an old-fashioned girl – when it comes
to relationships.
Does beau, Brody Jenner fit that bill? Lavigne tells the
November issue of Maxim, on sale Oct. 12, "I like a
classy man, a gentleman who opens the door and gives
flowers and always puts the lady first. I'm a little
old-fashioned like that."
The singer, 26, who recently divorced Sum 41 frontman
Deryck Whibley, 30, is ready to release a new album,
which she admits is inspired by her personal life but,
"is the first that is not boy bashing."
Not that her life is drama-free. A regular target of the
paparazzi, Lavigne has been snapped leaving nightclubs
with Jenner, something she says she rarely does.
"The only time I really ever get photographed is if I
decide to go out with my friends to a bar or club, so
... it kind of looks like I do that more than I do, "
she says, "The majority of the time I stay in."
Lavigne does take tabloid reporting in stride saying,
"You can only laugh at it and roll your eyes because
it's like, "Really?" They usually just pull that stuff
out of their ass, but I think people know that."
When asked how she stays out of trouble amidst some of
the notable teen star meltdowns, the Canadian native
credits her roots, "I got here on my own. I came from a
small town and grew up in a regular home. I know what
I've worked hard for. I've seen a lot of people who have
gone a little crazy and who are really into the
Hollywood scene. I don't really like to hang out with
people like that.

Jennifer Lopez: Why Idol Is Right for Me
Jennifer Lopez is "excited" about her new gig as a judge
on American Idol's 10th season, especially since it will
allow more time at home with her family in L.A.
"We're really happy that we get to be in one place with
the babies [2-year-old twins Max and Emme] for a while,"
she says. "This is going to put us here for like six
months. It's unheard of for us. The babies can do dance
class and soccer practice. We're excited about being a
little bit of a normal family for a little while."
The move to Idol also demonstrates how Lopez, 40, and
husband Marc Anthony, 42, make big life-decisions – like
taking a new high-profile job – together.
"I don't know that we ever thought I'd do something like
this," says Lopez. "But when I was a dancer, was I going
to be an actress? Yeah. When I was an actress, was I
going to be a singer? Yes. I just think this is another
evolution of that – and [Marc] explained it to me like
that."
Now that the announcement is official, Lopez is eager to
get started on her new gig. "I'm going to give it my
whole heart, soul and passion like I do with everything
that I do," she said. "I'm looking forward to such a fun
year."

Lea Michele couldn't believe her eyes
Lea Michele couldn't believe her eyes when a super-fit
Britney Spears walked onto the Glee set last week.
"She was so professional," Michele, 24, tells Access
Hollywood. "She looked incredible.
She's so tiny!" Michele says Spears, 28, was "great to
work with.
It was one of those things where you go to work and
you're like, 'I can't believe we're doing this!'"
Earlier this month, shots surfaced of Michele wearing
similar duds that Spears wore in her famous "...Baby One
More Time" video.
Though she confirms they shot a scene together, she
says, "What we do together, I can't say.
I will tell you it's incredibly iconic!" Asked about
Spears' episode -- set to air Sept. 28 -- Glee creator
Ryan Murphy was mum.

‘Idol’ Insider: Jennifer Lopez Accepts Offer to Judge
‘American Idol’
Looks like Jennifer Lopez will be “putting on her
Louboutins” for a new role next year — judge on American
Idol. The superstar singer/actress has accepted one of
the two vacant judges’ chairs on the Idol panel, OK! has
learned exclusively.
“Jennifer accepted the Idol judge position,” an Idol
insider confirms to OK!. “They are ironing out contracts
as we speak so unless something goes wrong it’s a done
deal.”
J. Lo’s Idol acceptance, a rumor first tossed out there
by GossipCop.com, comes directly after Ellen DeGeneres
announced her decision to depart the hit FOX talent show
after only one season.
“She’s absorbing Ellen’s salary which is why Ellen
resigned today,” our source adds, meaning J. Lo has
agreed to appear on Idol for the same amount of money as
Ellen. okmagazine.com

to be featured on the Fox hit, show creator Ryan Murphy
has confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that he’s writing
an episode dedicated to her.
Not everyone on the 19-Emmy nominated show will be

"I hope our show doesn't go along that route." More than
13.5 million people tuned in to a Madonna-inspired

Miley's Outfits at Odds With Her Disney Persona
Miley Cyrus at the MuchMusic Video Awards.
George Pimentel/WireImage.com Miley Cyrus ignored
critics of her recent risque style choices and performed
at Sunday night's MuchMusic Awards wearing less than
some people might wear for a day at the beach.
The 17-year-old Disney star wore an itsy-bitsy black
monokini as she gyrated through a performance of her hit
song "Party in the U.S.A." (which featured a cameo by
Justin Bieber), and was just as provocative in a
performance of her current, aptly titled single, "Can't
Be Tamed."
For that part of the show she wore a white,
retro-undergarment-style piece that she paired with
high-heeled black booties.
The outfits are the latest in a recent run of edgier
looks from the singer, who wore abbreviated hot pants
for a Spain concert earlier this month, and a
midriff-baring top while in Paris.
Just last week, Cyrus defended her increasingly adult
look after she faced criticism about her "Can't Be
Tamed" video, which features her dancing provocatively
in a cage and wearing a corset.
Miley performing at the Rock in Rio Madrid Festival
earlier this month.
Carlos Alvarez/Getty Images She explained the
professional reason behind her fashion revolution from
an innocent, girl-next-door look to a sexier, goth-like
style.
She told the Associated Press: "What I'm trying to do is
make a point with my record and look consistent, in the
way my record sounds and the way I dress."
For Miley, it's all part of being a performer. "We are
up there just dressing up; we are just having fun," she
said to UsMagazine.com. "It's about the girls and guys
who are living their dream playing dress up. But it
seems her work persona isn't the only thing driving
Miley's fashion choices.
"I work really hard to be fit and to know I can wear
whatever makes me feel most comfortable, and I feel most
comfortable dressing with a little less. And that's kind
of how I've always been, it's just now I'm able to do
that a little more freely," Miley said in the Associated
Press interview.

Miley
Cyrus and her Aussie hunk have split
Don't
believe recent chatter suggesting that Miley Cyrus and
her Aussie hunk have split due to his rising popularity
and her supposed jealousy.
According to Cyrus, that is so not the case. "Just wanna
clear up a rumor. Liam [Hemsworth] and I did not break.
EVER!
We are so happy and a lot of that has to do with the
amazing relationship he has with my family," she writes
on her Web site. The couple met in 2009 on the set of
The Last Song, based on the Nicholas Sparks novel. They
attempted to keep their relationship out of the
spotlight, but in March, Cyrus admitted that she and
Hemsworth had been dating for 10 months.
Hemsworth, 20, is currently in negotiations to star in
the 3D action film Arabian Nights. And Cyrus's third
album Can't Be Tamed drops June 22.
With two demanding schedules and plenty of travel, no
wonder rumors surface. But it's clear that family bonds
help keep the couple in sync. "We are both so busy right
now, so having them by our side supporting us and our
career is such a blessing!" Cyrus writes.

Jennifer
Lopez's Nearly-Naked Catsuit Gets Catcalls
Two days
into the New Year and the revealing catsuit Jennifer
Lopez wore on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve to
sing "Waiting for Tonight" is still causing eyes to roll
– in both awe and anxiety.
Though the ABC show's host Ryan Seacrest let the
41-year-old singer know that her outfit "made my year,"
Alicia Lundgren, a 24-year-old dancer from Philadelphia,
told Jenny from the block's hometown paper, the New York
Daily News, "There's too many wrinkles. It looks like
elephant skin."
Not all the remarks about the ensemble were catty. Some
prompted catcalls, including a "Wow" from Jason Ray, 24,
a legal assistant from near Times Square, where
Thursday's festivities – and the fashion display – took
place. "I think she looks good after having twins!" he
told the newspaper.
Underneath
the sheer garment, Lopez sported little beyond her
spangled red-soled Louboutin heels.

Trawick, her manager and current boyfriend.

likes it or not. Although they are said to be very much
in love, Jason does not want to rush into things.

Miley Cyrus: "I've Never Heard
a Jay-Z Song"
Miley Cyrus -- whose hit song, "Party in the U.S.A."
includes a line about her nodding her head to one of the
rapper's tracks -- says she doesn't know which of his
songs inspired the lyrics.
See photos of Miley and other stars from when they were
kids. "I've never heard a Jay-Z song," the singer, 16,
said in an interview before her Halloween concert -- in
which she was dressed as Pocahontas -- in Louisville,
Kentucky this past Saturday. "I don't listen to pop
music."
Then how did it get in her song -- which was recently
No. 1 on the Top 40 charts? "I don't know, I didn't
write the song, so I have no idea," she said of the
tune, which was written by a songwriting team of Dr.
Luke, Claude Kelly and Jessica Cornish. "Honestly, I
picked that song because I needed something to go with
my clothing line. I didn't write it and ... I didn't
expect it to be popular, originally. It was just
something that I wanted to do, and I needed some songs
and it turned out for the best."
Although she said "Party in the U.S.A." is "not even my
style of music," she is thankful for its success.
"I'm really blessed for it to have done as well as it
has. Totally blessed," she said. "God has definitely put
me in an amazing position with amazing people."
Later, when asked about an artist she has heard before
-- her father, Billy Ray Cyrus -- the Hannah Montana
star says she has no plans to shout out any of his
songs, like the 1992 hit, "Achy
Breaky Heart."
"No, no thank you," she said. "That's like covering a
Jay-Z song. That's not going to happen."

Britney Spears Pays Off
Paparazzo
Britney Spears is footing the bill for running over
paparazzo Ricardo Mendoza outside
a Beverly Hills medical building in 2007.
The terms of the settlement haven’t been disclosed but
Ricardo was seeking $230,000 in damages and medical
expenses after being mown over by her Mercedes, reports
E! Online.
But he isn’t the first pap to be pounded by the Circus
star.
In November 2007, Britney fled over the feet of a Los
Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy before driving over the
toes of another photographer as she left the Four
Seasons in the same month.
Mendoza sued in May for an unspecified amount, then
followed in September with some specific demands:
$195,000 in general damages, $16,533.59 for medical
bills and $10,000 for any future foot problems.
Attorney Benjamin C. Alvarez’s rebuttal papers had
described Mendoza as a “self-serving, profit-hungry
paparazzo” who “positioned and placed himself in the
roadway in front of Ms. Spears’ vehicle.”

which can only bode well for Christina Aguilera's next
album, which will be her fourth and is as yet untitled.
Tricky Stewart commented: "It's just great. I wouldn't
say that it's alternative, I would say that it's
different. I really feel it's one of her best bodies of

Aaron Carter Predicts ‘I’m
Going to Win’ DWTS
Aaron Carter is quite confident about his chances of
winning Dancing with the Stars.
“There are no if’s, and’s or but’s or possibilities or
chances,” he said during an interview Monday on 104.3 MY
FM’s Valentine in the Morning. “I’m going to win Dancing
with the Stars.”
With only the first week of competition down, the pop
singer predicts he’ll be in the finale with Donny Osmond
and Joanna Krupa, who both also performed well last
week.
For Monday night’s performance, Carter will dance a
quickstep with his pro partner Karina Smirnoff, who he
says he is not dating. “She’s beautiful, but I’ve got to
keep it professional,” he said while calling into the
radio show.
The show’s hosts reminded Carter of Karina’s past
relationships that started in the ballroom with Mario
Lopez and her former fiancé Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
“Honestly, why would I want to be in that category?”
Carter said. “I’m sorry, but I’m not that guy. I don’t
got that kind of time.”
As for injuries, Carter only
admits, “My knees hurt but that’s about it.” And he’s
got the perfect remedy for the pain: “I take Epsom salt
baths,” he said.

Avril Lavigne nearly
single again?
According to persistent rumours, the
Canadian singer Avril Lavigne has been having marital
difficulties for several months. The magazine "Us
Weekly" has gone even further by claiming that the
pretty blond has just kicked out her husband Deryck
Whibley! Consequently, a divorce looks imminent...
The wedding of the two musicians took place in July
2006. At that time, Avril was just 21 years old: quite
young age, which probably explains some of her
disillusionment in love.
The young icon of "glam pop" has frankly decided to move
on. She has every intention of getting rid of all the
tracks, composed with Deryck, due to appear on the track
list of her next album. As a result, this work is likely
to be somewhat delayed.

Beyoncé, an inspirational diva
R'n'b singer, actress and international
star Beyoncé Knowles scored a massive hit with her last
album "I Am Sasha Fierce", released at the end of 2008.
This certainly did not go unnoticed at Billboard
magazine, the key American music publication. The
magazine has honoured the stylish diva with the title
"Woman of the Year". She will receive her award on 2nd
October in New York.
The prestigious prize is in honour of the artist's work
over the last twelve months. The magazine's Editorial
Director, Bill Werde, said that they were not only
giving the award to the beautiful singer for her musical
success. According to Werde: "She has not only
influenced pop culture with her hit songs and signature
dance moves, but has inspired women everywhere with her
unique style, business savvy and dedication to
charitable causes." It seems that Beyoncé creates an
impression in everything she does!

Nick
Jonas and Miley Cyrus To Reunite On Song
Miley Cyrus is
going to have to go into the studio with her ex, Nick
Jonas, to record a song for their label, Disney. And
even though Miley just this very morning told Ryan
Seacrest, "me and Nick are really close friends now" --
we can't help but think working with a former BF could
be a little tense. E! News reports that his bandmates/brother,
Joe and Kevin, plus some other stars, will also record
Pass It On at a session later this week.
Earlier today Miley addressed her relationship with the
Jonai on Seacrest's radio show. "Everyone thinks that me

me and Nick are really close friends now. We talk all
the time and he's one of my best friends." "We don't
hate each other," she added. "We really love each other.
He's really cool, and I'm happy
we've been able to
stay friends."

See Sexy Photos From Britney Spears' "If U Seek Amy"
Video
Britney Spears dancers Willie, Jay and
Luke are showing off the dance moves for her new video
"If U Seek Amy." Watch here on BritneySpears.com.
The pop star, 27, wrote on Twitter that last Wednesday's
shoot was "super sexy and really fun! I can't wait for
you all to see it <3 Britney."
The controversial song (say the title fast!) is the
third single off her platinum album, Circus.
Spears plays a 1950s housewife with a perfect family in
the clip. Photos show her donning a blonde bouffant
hairstyle and carrying a pie while hanging with a
handsome, preppy man and two well-dressed kids in a home
with a white picket fence.
But inside the house, the singer apparently strips down
and dances in a racy outfit! A video release date has
not yet been announced.

Britney
Spears on the set of the If U Seek Amy music video.
The singer, who plans to hit the road for
her Circus tour next month, spent Tuesday filming the
video for her upcoming single "If U Seek Amy," in which
she plays a sexy housewife dressed in blonde '50s style
wig, fitted pink top and white skirt.
"The video begins with Britney coming outside her house
to hand the paparazzi an apple pie that she baked," says
a source. "She acts like she wants to hook up. The video
is very provocative."
In part of the video, Spears is accompanied by two
adorable perfectly-groomed children and a straight-laced
man wearing khakis and a sweater over his shoulders.
But a source says there are also lots of dancers
"dressed in skimpy outfits in metallic color" and
revealing costumes for Spears included in the shoot.
According to several sources, Spears was very
professional and upbeat on the set. "She was like the
old Britney at the shoot. She was engaged and excited
the whole day and seemed like her old self," says a
source. "If U Seek Amy" is the third single from the
album Circus. Spears kicks off her new tour in New
Orleans on March 3.

her skills on the pitch are less than impressive.
And she has called on the Los Angeles Galaxy star to
give her some helpful tips on how to play the game.
She tells OK!, “David Beckham - he’s a cutie. I am not a
very good soccer player, so I have to get someone in to
help me. Maybe he can.” |

Madonna to Britney: "Marriage doesn't work for girls
like us"
ShowbizSpy.com: Madonna has told Britney Spears not to
marry again.
Spears - who divorced husband Kevin Federline in 2006
- reportedly sought advice from the Material Girl
singer after performing with her recently, and on the
subject of men, Madonna - who recently annouced she
would be divorcing husband Guy Ritchie - left no
question about what she thought best for both of them.
A source says, "Britney asked Madonna if she will ever
marry again after her split from Guy.
"Madonna not only said she wouldn't but told Britney
to forget about marriage. She said it just doesn't
work for girls like them.
"Madonna clearly sees a lot of herself in Britney
because she seems very eager to help her."

Mariah & Nick: Out of Sync?
Nick
Cannon, 28, held a packed
house on Oct. 20 as he spun classic hip-hop tunes for
the gala party at the Whitney Museum of American Art in
NYC.
But there was one audience member who clearly wasn't
bopping to the DJ's music – his wife,
Mariah Carey!
Mariah sat in the back of the DJ booth, glumly fiddling
with her cell phone. Then, 10 minutes into Nick's set,
Mimi, 38, snuck out to chat with gala host
Donatella Versace.
"Mariah clearly wasn't into Nick's music at all," says
one partygoer. "It looked like she wanted to tell him to
turn down that awful rackett!"
Maybe the singer was just preoocupied. Mariah has signed
up to appear on the British series The X Factor
next month, where she'll sing her new track "I Stay In
Love."
Mariah is one of the most successful female artists of
all time," says an insider. Says another, "Simon
Cowell loves Mariah. He's always comparing acts
to her. And finally all the compliments have paid off."
Now if only Nick can get his wife to give him
compliments on his music! Listening to him spin is
obviously not how she stays in love!

Céline Dion Dreams of Having
Another Baby People.com: The
clock may be ticking, but Céline Dion still hopes to
have a second child after her world tour ends in
February 2009.
There is a "small window of hope," she told Oprah
Winfrey this week. "We'll give it a try after my tour
... Hopefully, we [will be] parents again. If not,
that's fine. We have our miracle baby."
Dion and her husband, manager René Angélil, have a
7-year-old son, René-Charles, conceived by in vitro
fertilization after six years of trying.
In the meantime, Dion has more pressing concerns, like
battling the respiratory ailment which forced her to
cancel a recent show in Minneapolis. (The concert has
been rescheduled for Feb. 5.)

Britney and Wade Robson reunite for upcoming tour
News.com.au: SHE'S swapped her "warped" ways for the
showbiz straight-and-narrow, now Britney Spears has
hired an Aussie dancing man to help choreograph her
return to the world spotlight.
Wade Robson styled Spears early steps to pop culture
fame, but told Confidential yesterday he will reunite
with the singer as she prepares to climb her way back up
the charts.
But not before Robson returns to share his skills with
Sydney dancers, at classes next month.
The 26-year-old, who was given his start -
controversially - by Michael Jackson as an 8-year-old,
remains in hot demand as a dance director and confirmed
he will write the moves for Spears' upcoming world tour.
"She reached out to me and said she wanted to get the
old team back together, so we'll go into rehearsals in
January for a March start," he said.
Like the rest of the world, Robson said he watched
Spears self-destruction with horror, but explained "when
you exist in a warped world, warped things are going to
happen to you".

Womanizer #1 on Billboard Hot 100 + Britney sets new
records
Billboard.com:
Another week, another record-breaking jump to No. 1 on
the Billboard Hot 100. Britney Spears makes a
near-maximum 96-1 rise with "Womanizer," returning to
the top of the list for the first time since her debut
single "...Baby One More Time" hit No. 1 in January
1999.
This is the third time in the past two months that the
mark for the biggest jump to No. 1 has been shattered.
On the Hot 100 dated Sept. 6, T.I. soared 71-1 with
"Whatever You Like" and last week he sprinted 80-1
with "Live Your Life."
Spears' single is spurred by first-week download sales
of 286,000, the biggest opening-week tally by a female
artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital
downloads in 2003, besting Mariah Carey's take for
"Touch My Body" by just over 200 units.
In between her nearly 10-year gap between No. 1s,
Spears has placed four other top 10s on the Hot 100,
the last being "Gimme More," the first single from her
last set, "Blackout." That song jumped 68-3 last
October with first-week download sales of 179,000.
"Womanizer" previews Spears' sixth studio set
"Circus," due Dec. 2 via Jive.

Christina: It's a great feeling to be in the game
with Britney
ShowbizSpy.com: Christina Aguilera isn’t worried about
Britney Spears’ comeback - because both artists are in
different leagues.
The Dirrty hitmaker says she has been busy in her own
“creative cave” — and insists she isn’t keeping tabs on
what her old rival is getting up to in the studio.
She says, “I’ve been so sort of in my own creative cave.
But no, it’s a great feeling to still be in the game
with somebody that you have known for so many years,
even going back to the Mickey Mouse club. We had so much
fun together.
“At this stage in our lives, we are so different I don’t
think you can put us in the same ball park.”
Spears, 26, is due to release her sixth studio album,
Circus, in December.
Aguilera’s forthcoming album is currently in the
recording process; the release date is to be determined.

Beyonce
Knowles found real love
American Hip-Hop diva Beyonce Knowles has finally spilt
the beans on her real love with her husband Jay-Z. The
couple has tied the knot in a secret ceremony last
April, reportedly happened in Paris in what is said to
be a “low key” shindig.
It was Jay’s idea to keep their wedding under wraps
inviting only close friends and family, the ceremony was
followed by a lavish party at the rapper's Tribeca
apartment that drew Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles, her
father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny's
Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the
couple's friend Gwyneth Paltrow.
They are intensely private people," said Laura
Schreffler, senior writer for OK! Magazine, "It took
them years to even admit they were a couple, and they
say more about themselves as a couple in their music
than they do out loud.
I don't think they'll admit [to getting married] now,
and I don't think they have to. They have no one to
answer to." The word got out when the couple went to get
a marriage license at a village hall in Scarsdale, N.Y. |

Britney Spears
in a school visit
The last time we saw
Britney Spears
in a school hallway she was dancing in her infamous
plaid skirt and singing “Baby One More Time” — this time
she was handing out $10,000 checks. The students at John
Philip Sousa M. S. 142 in the Bronx received quite a
surprise Wednesday when the pop star stopped by the
school and presented an endowment for the school’s new
music program from Elizabeth Arden, the company behind
her three fragrances, Believe, Fantasy and Curious,
People reports. Britney, who earlier in the week caused
a frenzy on the streets of New York City as fans and
photographers swarmed her, did not disrupt classes, as
school was not in session due the Jewish holiday. The
school’s eight-piece band, the Sousatones, gave Britney
a taste of what her donation will help fund, with a
rousing performance. Following the Sousatones show, band
director Sal Mazzola, told the pop star, “When you’re
ready to take us on the road for an opening act, we’re
ready!”

Beyonce’s
Grammy-winning
It’s been two years since Beyonce’s
Grammy-winning “B’Day,” but don’t call the pop star a
slacker when it comes to her new album. “I have worked
on this album for close to one year,” she wrote in a
letter to fans on MySpace. “I have taken the time so I
can create my sound. I have poured my heart and soul
into it. It is my baby.” In discussing the album, which
is due on Columbia Records on November 18, Beyonce
admitted it was the “most time I have spent on any
project” since her teenage days in Destiny’s Child,
Beyonce has apparently been putting her days in the
studio to good use. “I have recorded over 70 songs and
have created a sound that reveals all of me,” she wrote.
“The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is
reflective, passionate and serious for the personal
side.” And fans should be prepared to hear something
they’re not expecting. “I have taken risks here,” she
wrote. “I am not afraid and my music will explain it
all. There is no label or tag on my sound.”

Britney to Release New Album on Her Birthday
People.com: Britney Spears has arranged a wonderful
birthday present for herself: her sixth studio album,
Circus, due for release Dec. 2 – the day she turns 27,
her label announced Monday.
Coming so soon after her triple victory – for video of
the year, best female video and best pop video for
"Piece of Me" – at MTV's Video Music Awards on Sept. 7,
Circus follows up her well-received 2007 album Blackout
and continues the upward spiral the sometimes-troubled
pop star has been experiencing.
The Outsyders, described by Spears's label, Jive
records, as an up-and-coming Atlanta production team,
have produced the first single from the album,
"Womanizer," which will drop Sept. 22.
Other producers and writers with a hand in the album,
according to Jive, include Dr. Luke (writer-producer of
the title track, "Circus"), Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy
& Avant and Guy Sigsworth – who's collaborated with such
other artists as Madonna, Alanis Morissette and Bjork.

Jennifer Lopez Completes
First-Ever Triathlon in Malibu
People.com: Jennifer Lopez had the support of several
important men in her life as she successfully competed
in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sunday, finishing the
race in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds.
The singer-actress was cheered on from the sidelines by
husband Marc Anthony, who escorted her to a VIP area
with his arm securely around her after she crossed the
finish line, exhausted, but with her fists pumped in
victory.
In the VIP area, Lopez met up with Matthew McConaughey,
who also competed in the triathlon at Zuma Beach. The
actor greeted his former Wedding Planner costar with a
big hug. And Lopez was accompanied along the way by her
trainer Gunnar Peterson, who was not racing himself, but
was there to help out.
Lopez, 39, has been training for the event – her first
ever triathlon – with Peterson and Self magazine
editor-in-chief Lucy Danziger. In August, she appeared
on Good Morning America, boasting a positive attitude
about her workout regimen. "I feel great," she said on
the show. "I have more energy – [and] I'm proud of
myself." She also revealed that she would be raising
money for Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
Wearing forest green Juicy sweats when she arrived
Sunday morning, Lopez changed quickly into her wetsuit
before the swim portion as Peterson and a bodyguard held
up towels to shield her from the paparazzi. Also
watching: Her fans, who offered their love. As Lopez and
her entourage – including her sister, an assistant and
several bodyguards – made its way to the beach, fans
yelled, "I love you J.Lo."
She clearly appreciated the support, smiling and waving
back.
But for McConaughey, the event was all business. The
actor (and fitness buff) had his game face on before the
race as he stretched.
Still, the actor broke his serious demeanor for a
moment, though, when he spotted girlfriend Camila Alves
– who spent some of the race time in the VIP area,
holding son Levi in a baby bjorn. McConaughey left the
line to give her a kiss and rub Levi before the swim
began.

Britney's VMA appearance declared The Greatest Music
Comeback Ever
AllHeadlineNews.com: Britney Spears' recent MTV Video
Music Awards appearance has been named the greatest
music comeback ever.
The troubled singer
picked up three awards at the ceremony last weekend and
appeared healthy and relaxed - in stark contrast to a
year ago when her shambolic performance at the same
event saw her criticised for being out-of-shape and
disorientated.
She beat boy band Take That - who split up in 1996 but
returned in 2006 with a sell-out tour and chart-topping
album - into second place and Kylie Minogue, who was
recognized for overcoming breast cancer, into third.
John Sewell of Onepoll, who carried out the U.K. survey,
said: "Brits love a success story and eight months ago
it looked all over for Britney."
"In February we were gripped by reports she had been
admitted to a psychiatric unit and yet she managed to
put in a controlled, composed and glittering appearance
at the MTV awards."
"We're now all hoping a chart-topping album will prove
that Britney really is back on form."
In the past two years, 26-year-old Britney has gone into
meltdown, suffering breakdowns, being hospitalized,
divorcing Kevin Federline and losing custody of her two
sons, Sean Preston, almost three, and Jayden James, 23
months, while her once-glittering career has floundered.
However, in recent months she has strived to turn her
life around, regaining visitation rights to her children
and getting back into shape.
