Beyoncé's Grammys Gown: From the First Phone Call to the $250,000 Fan Offer

No one made a bigger impact at the Grammys than Beyoncé in not one but two body-baring outfits: A sexy bodysuit that she followed up with a daringly sheer Michael Costello gown. The designer, a Project Runway alum, may have seemed a surprising choice for a star who’s often seen in custom Lanvin and Givenchy, but according to Costello, as soon as Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter saw it, he knew it was the one.

“I know that she could have any designer in the world make her anything she wants — I never thought he was going to call,” Costello says of a chance encounter with Hunter at a party. “He came into the showroom [four days before the Grammys], and he was loving everything. He had a direction he wanted to go in, which was ‘Shut s–t down’ and ‘Nakedness.’”

While Hunter was there, Costello brought out the gowns he was working on for fashion week. “When he saw that dress, his heart stopped. He was like, ‘Yes God, this is the moment!’” But despite his excitement, Costello’s Project Runway instincts caused him to create six backup dresses in a matter of days. “Coming from the television shows, I wanted to impress people in a way,” he explained. “I stopped what I was doing and made six more dresses as options. I think it’s because I love a challenge so much. Maybe it gets my adrenaline going.”

The designer dropped off all the dresses with Hunter without time for a fitting, so Costello was praying that the length was right and the fit would work for Beyoncé’s “tiny, amazing” body. But he didn’t get any feedback on whether she’d wear the dress until he spotted an Instagram Hunter posted with a close-up photo of his fabric. “All of our employees were commenting on his page: ‘What does this mean Ty, what does this mean?’ About 20 minutes later we saw the picture from the carpet blasted out everywhere,” Costello said. “When you put somebody like like Beyoncé in that dress, she worked it. It looked like it was made for her.”

The dress is as delicate as it looks, which meant Costello put in overtime to ensure everything stayed put. “I cannot tell you the amount of labor that went into that dress just to make sure [there would be] no wardrobe malfunctions,” he said, noting the translucent fishnet mesh was topped with hand-sewn glass sequins and lace sewn “sporadically” to make every flower look different. And his hard work paid off: “There’s a guy who’s an obsessive Beyoncé fan who offered us $250,000 for the dress. It’s crazy.” Is he going to do it? “I’m debating. I want to keep it! It’s a dream come true.”
 

Zac Efron: 'I'm in a Great Place' After Rehab

Zac Efron is back and feeling better than ever. After completing a stint in rehab last spring for what sources say was a drug problem, the actor is moving forward and using that challenging period in his life to grow.

"I'm so happy. I feel like I'm in a great place and I'm glad that I'm really here to share this moment with everybody and be present for all of it," Efron, 26, told PEOPLE at Tuesday's That Awkward Moment press conference in New York City.

"It was an interesting year. I learned so many things. So much," he said. "The best part of it was being able to reflect upon that experience and realize how much I have learned about myself and the kind of man I want to be."

With a new sense of direction, the actor added that he is thrilled to be reuniting with his That Awkward Moment costars and good pals Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller.

"This movie, these guys and coming back to it and to New York – just being here in this moment, it just kind of exemplifies it," Efron said. "I couldn't be happier. I'm in a great place."
 
Jennifer Lopez: 'I Don't Know' If I'll Marry Casper Smart

After a year away from American Idol, Jennifer Lopez is returning to the judges' panel a changed woman.

"That was such a transformative year for me in so many ways," Lopez told reporters Monday ahead of Wednesday's premiere of Idol's 13th season. "I had just divorced, I went on tour with the kids, and I left Idol. All my security blankets were gone, and I was out there doing something I had never done before."

But as she travelled the globe on her first world tour, she relied on support from her mother and boyfriend Casper Smart, whom Lopez called "fantastic" with her twins Emme and Max, 5.

"I was surrounded by love and family," said Lopez, 44. "I really grew. My goal was not to come out the other side and just survive it but grow as a human being as well as an artist, and I felt I did. I learned a lot."

One thing Lopez has learned is to accept that she is someone who prefers to be in a relationship.

"I'm one of those people who does not like to be alone," she said. "I have no shame saying that at this point in my life. I think we have to own who we are."

But when it comes to wedding bells in Lopez and Smart's future, the star is unclear where she thinks their relationship is headed.

"I don't know. We'll see. I don't know," she said when asked if she would like to get married for the fourth time. "You know, I've always believed in that institution. I believe in it, but it is difficult. I've had my challenges, but at the same time I believe in love, and I think that is the main thing."
 

Mark Wahlberg on His Marky Mark Past: 'I Was an Absolute Train Wreck'

Mark Wahlberg doesn't have such good vibrations about his past as rapper Marky Mark.

"They give Justin Bieber a hard time," Wahlberg said during an awkwardly funny appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Tuesday night. "I was an absolute train wreck. Wow."

The Lone Survivor actor, 42, made his first appearance on The Tonight Show 21 years ago as rapper Marky Mark, and the funny host couldn't help but pull out clips of Wahlberg rapping with the Funky Bunch and tossing around some old-school attitude.

"I started wearin' the longer shorts because ... the regular brief underwear ... get sweaty and tend to get stretched out," Wahlberg explained in the decades-old clip about what happens when he raps and pulls down his pants. "You don't want nothin' fallin' out the side."

"Is that a big problem?" Leno asked, laughing after the clip had ended. "Fallin' out the side?"

"Not anymore," a decidedly embarrassed Wahlberg quipped.
 
Taylor Swift Was Asked to Move Boulders And Alter the Coastline by the State

Laura Dwyer, spokeswoman for the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council spoke with The Providence Journal about the issues. She said the whole situation was a misunderstanding.

"The larger boulders were historically there," Dwyer said. "We have photograph evidence from previous property owners that they were there, but they were covered with sand. When the applicant came in with plans, they were proposing to leave those rocks way out in the water. We were the ones who asked them to get those boulders as close to the seaward side of that concrete wall as possible."

Original Story: Taylor Swift's relationship with her new Rhode Island neighbors is not exactly a love story. According to a new report from Connecticut's The Day newspaper, the chart-topper's $17 million property is currently undergoing some intensive construction, permit-free, that will eventually alter the coastline.

The paper shared a photo of construction workers moving boulders at the coast around Swift's home located in Watch Hill. The publication went on to claim that the workers' alteration of the coastline could affect local surfing and complained that the wall Swift was building was over-the-top.

The Grammy winner purchased the property, which features eight bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, and 700 feet of waterfront, in April 2013 after getting rid of her Hyannis Port, Massachusetts home next door to the Kennedy compound following her split with Conor Kennedy.

Swift recently wrapped her worldwide Red Tour in Melbourne, Australia after celebrating her 24th birthday down under.
 

Jennifer Lawrence Says Jack Nicholson Sent Her a Bottle of Cristal After Oscar Win

We all love Jennifer Lawrence's dishy oversharing. And we especially love it when her stories involve Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson.

As you might recall, The Shining star, 76, sweetly stunned the newly minted Oscar winner, 23, earlier this year while she was talking to Good Morning America last spring.

And now we learn their interaction didn't end there.

"He sent me flowers and a bottle of Cristal and a note that said, 'Missing you already,' " she shared on GMA this week, before quickly interjecting, "Not to brag."

Then, in classic JLaw style, she immediately seemed to regret what she said – sort of.

"I should have probably kept that a secret so it could just be between me and Jack," she said, providing an inflection to his name that pretended they are BFFs. (In reality, she admits they haven't actually spoken since the Oscars.)

Nicholson isn't the only A-lister who seems tickled by Lawrence's quirky sweetness. Julia Roberts also weighed in on the American Hustle star, telling MTV News last month that she's too cool to be America's Sweetheart.

When GMA told Lawrence about Roberts's comments, she responded, "Wow, that's so cool," before saying dreamily, "Julia Roberts talked about me!"
 
Kristen Stewart Is the New Face of Chanel - Let's Look Back At Her Most Memorable Chanel Moments

Kristen Stewart may once have thought it was “bizarre” to be considered a fashion trendsetter, but apparently some of the biggest names in fashion don’t agree. First, she was named the face of Balenciaga fragrance, and now Karl Lagerfeld has tapped her to be the face of Chanel’s 2013-2014 Métiers d’Arts ad campaign.

Lagerfeld himself will shoot the ad campaign, which is due to be released in May 2014. Both he and Stewart were on hand in Dallas Tuesday night to fête the big news — he in a version of his white collar, black shirt and white ponytail uniform, she in the high-waisted leather palazzo pants, crop top and waist-tied shirt seen above at left.

Stewart may strike some as an odd choice, considering she’s more often spotted in distressed denim than dramatic high fashion. But in fact, she and the haute house go way back. She even sported Chanel Couture to the 2010 Met Gala (far right), thought it was three more years before she scored a front-row seat at the brand’s Haute Couture fashion show in July, which she attended in a Karl-approved palette of black and white, accessorized with short shorts, biker gloves and a whole lot of attitude.

Jennifer Lawrence Wins N.Y. Film Critics Circle Award: Will 2014 Bring Another Oscar?

With already an Academy Award and a Golden Globe, does Jennifer Lawrence need to clear room at home for even more trophies?

Looks like the answer is Yes. Tuesday, the Hunger Games: Catching Fire star and this year's Best Actress Oscar winner for Silver Linings Playbook was named best supporting actress by the New York Film Critics Circle for her performance in the '70s crime caper American Hustle, which also took the top honor as best picture.

Other winners announced Tuesday were best actor Robert Redford, for All Is Lost; best actress Cate Blanchett, for Blue Jasmine; and best supporting actor Jared Leto, for Dallas Buyers Club.

Steve McQueen was named best director for the harrowing drama 12 Years a Slave.

The Critics Circle represents the first round of winners this awards season, though historically the group and the Academy (responsible for the Oscars) haven't always seen eye to eye when it comes to final choices.
 
Angelina Jolie Didn't Purchase Heart-Shaped Island for Fiance Brad Pitt's 50th Birthday

Nice thought, but Brad Pitt may have to do without a heart-shaped island -- for now. Rumors that Angelina Jolie purchased a $19.7 million heart-shaped island for his 50th birthday are apparently false, Page Six reported on Tuesday, Nov. 26. See pics of the island here!

According to the New York Post, the stunning Petra Island -- about 50 miles north of Manhattan -- has yet to be purchased. Owners of the retreat apparently listed the huge piece of land four months ago, but no one has made an offer.

"I don't have any idea where that came from," Donna Massaro, daughter of owners Joseph and Barbara Massaro, told Page Six. "The family threw it out there to see if anyone was interested, and so far no [potential buyers] have [come forward]."

Jolie, 38, may not be purchasing a new getaway for Pitt (who turns 50 on Dec. 18), but she has shown her affection toward her soon-to-be hubby in other ways. "My love," she referred to Pitt, as she accepted the Humanitarian Award at the 5th Annual Governors Ball in Hollywood on Nov. 16. "Your support and guidance makes everything that I do possible." The couple was also joined by their 12-year-old son Maddox for the special occasion.

As for Pitt, the Hollywood hunk is currently still working on his new World War II film, Fury, in England, but is set to return to spend time with Jolie and their six children in the upcoming weeks -- even if the backdrop isn't a heart-shaped island. He will "go home" for the Christmas holidays, an insider tells Us Weekly.
 

Harry and Jenner had dinner at Craig's restaurant

The reality star and One Direction band member enjoyed a low-key dinner at Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood on Wednesday night and were photographed leaving together in Styles's car.

"They're just friends," says a source.

Jenner, 18, posted on Twitter that she was single, but was linked to rapper Young Jinsu as recently as last month.

"They're still seeing each other and have been hanging out. He went to Magic Mountain with her whole family for her birthday,” says a source close to the rapper.

Meanwhile Styles, 19, split from Taylor Swift at the beginning of this year and was linked to Kimberly Stewart this spring. He's in town for his band's star-studded 1D Day event that will be live-streamed on Saturday.

The duo's meal comes during a turbulent time for Kendall and younger sister Kylie, who have been battling reports of partying and diva-like behavior this fall.

Leonardo DiCaprio knows how to throw a party. The actor shut down TAO Downtown in New York on Sunday to ring in his 39th year.

DiCaprio enjoyed a private dinner with 100 of his closest friends and family, including Martin Scorsese and Orlando Bloom, who recently separated from wife Miranda Kerr. Kanye West and 2 Chainz performed a full concert for the birthday boy after the feast.

DiCaprio partied until the wee hours with guests including West's new fiancé Kim Kardashian, Benecio DelToro, A-Rod, Derek Jeter, Tobey Maguire, Nicky Hilton and Busta Rhymes.

"Leo was beyond thrilled when the lights were turned on at 4 a.m. and the entire room was still packed," said a party goer.

And DiCaprio made sure to put his star power to good use for his birthday bash. The actor raised $3 million for charities supported by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. The charity auction included bottles of Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage 1921, featured in The Great Gatsby and a one-of-a-kind handcrafted Roségold Mathusalem of Dom Pérignon.

Tom Cruise Defends Himself in Revealing Court Documents: I Didn't 'Abandon' Suri After Divorce

In court documents, Tom Cruise is speaking out against the allegations that he "abandoned" his daughter Suri following his divorce from Katie Holmes.

While Cruise, 51, has said very little in public about his divorce from Holmes, 34, and relationship with 7-year-old Suri, the court documents he filed in his $50 million lawsuit against Bauer Publishing for magazine cover stories claiming he "abandoned" his daughter after the high-profile split speak volumes.

"The assertion that I 'abandoned' Suri after my divorce is patently false," Cruise states in the documents. "I have in no way cut Suri out of my life – whether physically, emotionally, financially or otherwise."

Although the Mission: Impossible star states that he was shooting two movies at the time the "Abandoned by Daddy" story was published, he states in the court documents, "Suri and I saw each other in person in July, August, November and December 2012. But even during the times when I was working overseas and was not able to see Suri in person, we were (and continue to be) extremely close."

The actor continues in the documents: "We spoke on the phone nearly every day, and I regularly asked for and received updates concerning her friends and school life, which I then discussed with her during our regular phone calls. As my numerous emails with Suri's mother during this time period demonstrate, I was a constant presence in Suri's life during the time that defendants claim falsely that I abandoned her."

The court documents end by stating: "I also understand that defendants claim that Suri was 'feeling abandoned' during this time period. This is also patently false. While I'm sure my daughter misses me when I am not with her (as I miss her), she is a very happy child, and we have a wonderful relationship and cheerful phone calls."

"She has never indicated, in words or substance," the document concludes, "that she has ever felt abandoned by me."
 
Katy Perry Tells "Naked" Pop Star Peers To "Put It Away"

"Everybody's getting naked," Katy Perry lamented to NPR host Scott Simon in an interview that aired Saturday, Oct. 26. "I mean, I've been naked before, but I don't feel like I have to always get naked to be noticed," she said of her pop star counterparts who are becoming increasingly focused on stripping down.

Although Perry, 29, refused to discuss "anyone in particular," the "Roar" singer suggested in her interview that her fellow female artists "all of them" -- simply "put it away."

Perry's comments follow a particularly skimpily-clothed year of young female pop stars, including a naked Miley Cyrus, 20, swinging on a wrecking ball, Rihanna, 25, stripping down for magazine covers and Nicki Minaj, 30, shocking her social media followers with unwarranted pictures. "I mean, it's like everybody's so naked," remarked Perry in the pre-recorded session. In an odd overlap of commentary and action, Lady Gaga, 27, stripped down while on stage in a London nightclub on Saturday, Oct. 26 as she performed her new single, "Venus."

Perry, however, understands she should not be the judge of pop stars' lack of apparel these days. The California Gurls crooner, who appeared nude in the music video, admitted to NPR, "I've taken it out here and there. And I'm not necessarily judging."

She added, "I'm just saying sometimes it's nice to play that card but also it's nice to play other cards. And I know I have that sexy card in my deck but I don't always have to use that card."
 

Carrie Underwood's Cooking Sets Off a Fire Alarm

Sounds like Carrie Underwood could use a some help in the kitchen!

The "Blown Away" singer had a little bit of trouble while cooking a meal on Saturday night.

"I set off the fire alarm in my apartment trying to make dinner," she Tweeted. "Oops! Sorry neighbors… #TopChef #Kitchen#Nightmares."

The 30-year-old, who married Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher in 2010, is a vegan and has been working on improving her cooking skills.

"I mean I try," she told Ellen Degeneres last year. "I want to be that mom some day. My mom makes the best fill-in-the-blank. I would love to be that, so I am working on it."
 
That '70s Show Cast Reunites – and Sings

The cast that sings together stays together. At least that's the case with That '70s Show.

Six actors from the show (which ended its eight-year run in 2006) got together in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, and Danny Masterson posted a pic of their reunion on Instagram.

Joining Masterson, 37, were Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama and cute couple Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

"Every once in awhile friends gather for a 6 part harmony of a BigStar song …," Masterson captioned the photo.

Clearly, the friends enjoyed their get-together – Grace, 35, also Tweeted the pic along with the opening line from the show's theme song, "Hangin' out, down the street …."

And Orange is the New Black star Prepon, 33, shared a similar shot on Twitter and wrote, "We need Santa hats and caroling books. … And for it not to be almost Xmas already! #luvmygang #70s-hang."

While it's nice to see that Kutcher, 35, has his hand resting on his girlfriend's shoulder, there's only one thing missing.
 

'American Idol' taps Lopez, Connick as judges

"American Idol" is betting that a judges' remix with Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban will fare better with viewers than bickering divas Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj did last season.

The rumored addition of Lopez and Connick as judges for season 13 was announced Tuesday by Fox. They'll join Urban to make up the talent show's first panel consisting solely of singers — a la NBC's successful 2011 upstart "The Voice."

Pop star and actress Lopez will be back on "American Idol" after a two-season run as judge in 2011 and 2012 that was a boon for the show and her career. Connick, a respected jazz singer and musician, proved adept as a mentor in several "Idol" appearances.

Urban's return to the contest was announced last month by Fox Chairman Kevin Reilly, who said the singer didn't get a chance to show his personality in his first turn as a judge. Urban appeared overwhelmed last season by the Carey-Minaj crossfire that drew complaints from some viewers.

"I think this season of 'Idol' is gonna be a blast," Urban said in a statement Tuesday. "New team, new energy and a whole new field of artists to be discovered and given a chance!"

Fox also announced that original judge Randy Jackson, who exited along with Carey and Minaj at the end of last season, will be back in a new role as in-house mentor to the contestants. Ryan Seacrest, also part of "Idol" from the start, will again host.

"Surprise, surprise! I am so happy to be back as part of this amazing show that started it all," Jackson said. "The original talent show is back with a vengeance and ready to discover the best talent in America."

Record executive Jimmy Iovine had served as mentor in recent seasons. Fox said that Universal Music Group's Interscope Records, under Iovine's direction as chairman, will continue to release "Idol" winner and contestant music.

Although judges have been a part of the show's entertainment formula since the early antics of Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, "Idol" also won viewers by discovering future stars including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson. But recent winners haven't caught similar fire as recording artists.

Seacrest, also set to host NBC's new "The Million Second Quiz," said that early "Idol" auditions have cemented his belief "that a new superstar is within our sights."

Tryouts are ahead in Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Boston; Detroit; Omaha, Neb.; Salt Lake City and San Francisco. "American Idol" returns in January.
 
Elton John on Miley Cyrus: "I See a Meltdown Waiting to Happen"

Is Miley Cyrus' split from fiance Liam Hemsworth just the beginning of a downward spiral? In a new interview with The Australian, music legend Elton John talks about how he's concerned about the path the 20-year-old controversial singer is headed on.

"I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen," John, 66, told the paper (via Huffington Post). "And she's so young! But she's got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?"

The "We Can't Stop" singer's rep confirmed to Us Weekly on Monday, Sept. 16 that she's called off her engagement to Hemsworth, 23. The two have been dating off and on since meeting on the set of The Last Song in 2010, and got engaged in May 2012. (John's chat with The Australian was conducted before Cyrus' split was announced.)

An insider told Us that The Hunger Games actor was "embarrassed" by Cyrus' hypersexual, rebellious new look. In the October issue of Harper's Bazaar, the former Disney star defended her behavior, reasoning, "I was an adult when I was supposed to be a kid. So now I'm an adult and I'm acting like a kid."

In addition to fearing for Cyrus' future, John also told The Australian that he worries about another pop star, Lady Gaga. "With Gaga -- who I love, she's the godmother to our children -- I'd like to be able to talk to her right now, but I can't get through to her," he said. "And there are times when you have to listen. When your persona begins to take over your music and becomes more important, you enter a dangerous place. Once you have people around you who don't question you, you're in a dangerous place."

Gaga, ironically, recently came to Cyrus' defense following her raunchy performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV VMAs last month. "I just think everyone has to lighten up and leave her alone. Because it's pop music, everybody is entitled to their own artistic expression. And if you have a problem with it, change the channel," Gaga said during an interview on Watch What Happens Live on Sept. 11. "She's growing up in front of the entire world, and maybe she's not so happy with the things that she did in her career when she was younger and she wants to be free. So let her do what she wants!"
 

Vanessa Hudgens Wants an Oscar

Vanessa Hudgens seems to have it all figured out.

She's gone from Disney darling to serious actress, challenging herself to take on more heavy-hitting roles while staying grounded and confident.

"I am so comfortable with myself," Hudgens, 24, tells October's Marie Claire (on sale Sept. 17).

"Honing in on what I love and what makes me powerful," she says. "Things I've been doing lately, I'm super proud of. So I don't really care if someone doesn't like it, because I love it."

Selena Gomez, Hudgens's close friend and Spring Breakers costar, attests to Hudgens's positive, down-to-earth attitude.

"She's not jaded at all," says Gomez. "The person you see and talk to is the same person I talk to."

Adding that Hudgens was "very protective," during an encounter with paparazzi, Gomez says, "I was distracted, and she took me aside and talked to me about who I am and what I represent. I felt safer after that."

Hudgens attributes her ability to deal with daily difficulties, like the paparazzi, to her sense of perspective.

"A sense of knowing I'm part of something bigger than myself has allowed me to enjoy life more. And not worry about the little things. Like paparazzi."

As for the future, Hudgens has a small checklist: "A vintage Mustang, kids and an Oscar," she says.
 
Zac Efron Shows Off Chiseled Chest in Neighbors Still

Zac Efron must be drinking light beer.

The former High School Musical star shows off his fit torso, including washboard abs and perfect pecs, in a new still from his upcoming movie Neighbors.

The 25-year-old plays the head of a frat house who doesn't exactly get along with the couple next door (played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) in the comedy, which is due out next May.

Taylor Swift Disses Exes at VMAs: One Direction Defends Harry Styles

For Taylor Swift, the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards felt like the perfect night to make fun of her exes. The 23-year-old singer, known for her breakup anthems, appeared to slam ex-boyfriend Harry Styles and presumably Jake Gyllenhaal during the show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Sunday, Aug. 25. But Styles' One Direction bandmates rushed to Styles' defense the following night at the premiere of their This Is Us concert documentary in New York City.

"We were a bit confused," Louis Tomlinson told Us Weekly. "We thought she was actually calling out Niall [Horan] so the whole thing's a bit confusing."

Liam Payne added, "I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it's like, concentrate on yourself!" When a reporter asked if Swift's behavior was "lame," Payne agreed, saying, "Yeah."

While Styles, 19, presented an award with One Direction onstage, Swift, sitting beside pal Selena Gomez in the audience, was filmed appearing to mouth "shut the f--- up!" (Swift and Styles broke up in early January after a couple months of dating.)

Later, while accepting the award for Best Female Video for her "I Knew You Were Trouble" hit, Swift took another dig at an ex. "Thank you. Wow. I want to thank the fans because I tweeted about this a lot, I really really wanted this," she said of the track from her fourth studio album, Red, which was released in October 2012. "I also want to thank the person that inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these!" ("I Knew You Were Trouble" was presumably inspired by Swift's high-profile romance in late-2010 with Gyllenhaal.)

Though Styles didn't comment on Swift seemingly cursing him out from the audience, he did share his thoughts with Us about another controversial moment from the VMAs show: Miley Cyrus' raunchy performance.

"I thought it was very reserved. I thought she was very, you know, timid," Styles joked. "She's quite shy. I think she needs to come out of her shell a bit more."

But for all of her single-minded business determination, the star maintains a healthy sense of humor about herself. When someone mentioned placing some food in in the photos, shot by Juergen Teller, she joked, “We don’t want anyone to know I eat. Why ruin that?”

And when discussing her famously sour face in paparazzi photos, Beckham defends her signature look: “When you’re in a position to be ‘paparazzi-ed’ just walking down the street, you’d look a little daft if you were smiling all the time.”

Despite being a paparazzi target with an ever-growing fashion line, Beckham spends much of the piece discussing how normal she and David are as parents — and says something especially surprising for someone who considers herself a brand. “I don’t want to be made to look like I’m 25,” she said about her many magazine covers. “I’m 39. I don’t have any issues with my age.” And why would she? After all, she’s halfway to an empire and not even 40.
 

Kim Kardashian Blasts Katie Couric as a 'Fake Media Friend'

Well, that's one baby gift that might be going back.

Among all the well-wishes and the pile of presents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have received since welcoming their daughter North in June, the new mom has come across one she didn't like: pajamas from Katie Couric.

On Friday, Kardashian Instagrammed a picture of the polka dot sleeper set along with the card from Couric, in which she not only congratulates the couple, but also offers advice on a possible name.

"Dear Kim and Kanye, Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl! And may I humbly suggest you continue the K tradition. Fondly, Katie Couric."

But the seemingly sweet gesture did not go over well with the reality star, who captioned the photo, "#IHateFakeMediaFriends #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkS---"

Although Kardashian has not commented on the reason behind the rift, Couric's recent interview could be to blame. Couric said she didn't understand why the Kardashians are famous and guessed "mostly teenage girls" are fans.

Couric later released a statement: "I've met Kim before and I think she's a really sweet person. I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascination with her family. I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye."
 
Katy Perry, Rihanna Reunite, Party With John Mayer

Everything that's old is new again! Katy Perry, who recently collaborated with ex John Mayer on new track "Who You Love," was spotted reuniting with another old pal -- BFF Rihanna -- during an intimate dinner in NYC's West Village on Monday, Aug. 12.

The "Roar" singer, 28, looked glam in a patterned fur top as she posed for a snapshot with a newly shorn Rihanna that the "Diamonds" singer later posted to her Instagram.

"She. X She," Rihanna captioned the black-and-white shot, using hashtags "KatyAnna" and "RIHunited" to emphasize the besties' reunion.

"She joined the party of 15 upstairs but sat next to John and Katy to catch up," a source tells Us Weekly of Rihanna making an appearance at The Lion, where Perry and Mayer, 35, had been dining with pals.

It's been a while since the musical pals have been spotted together. The pair were last seen together at Rihanna's concert in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on Tuesday, May 7, hanging out 'like old times" and "catching up," an eyewitness told Us of the friends at the time.

At the time, both pop stars had split from their men -- Rihanna from ex Chris Brown, and Perry from Mayer. On Monday, however, Perry and her former flame seemed to be back on track.

"She and John were adorable as Katy introduced him to people as her boyfriend and John affectionately held her close with his arm around her," the first source tells Us of the pair, who reconciled over Memorial Day weekend in May following a split in March.

Earlier that day, Perry chatted with the host on The Morning Mash Up live on SiriusXM Hits 1 about the couple's duet, and Perry hinted that the song might be a nod to their on-again, off-again relationship.

"I think that's just a love giggle," she said of the tiny laugh she contributes at the end of the track. "It's like the ones that Mariah Carey had in 1990 and stuff like that … Yeah, I think I was going for that, I think I was just so happy. I love that song…"

"It's very humanizing," she added. "It's like the real moment, you're catching the real moment there."

Charlize Theron got an early jump on her birthday celebration with a dinner party with friends in Rome on Sunday night.

The Academy Award winner, who turns 38 on Aug. 7, dined al fresco on the patio of Antica Pesa with pals including the restaurant's owner, Francesco Panella, who opened the celebrity hot spot (which is normally closed on Sundays) especially for the birthday girl.

Wearing a sleeveless black dress and bright red lipstick the mom of one sipped red wine and dined on a selection of Roman staples including prosciutto and mozzarella, cacia e pepe and amatriciana pastas.

At the end of the meal, Theron and her friends switched to Champagne as the group sang "Happy Birthday" to her and ended their Italian feast with a cake topped with candles.

If you thought Robert Pattinson looked cuddly, wait until you see the cutie hanging out with Kristen Stewart these days.

The Twilight alum – whose on-and-off relationship with Pattinson came to an end in May after more than three years of dating – was spotted Monday making her way around Long Beach, Calif., with a furry friend, who seems like a new addition.

Protectively carrying the pooch around, perhaps Stewart, 23, is missing the two pups, Bear and Bernie, she shared with her ex, who reportedly kept them following their breakup.

"I'm just sort of obsessed with rescuing the pooches," Stewart previously said during a November Live! With Kelly and Michael interview.

Christina Aguilera looked happy and healthy at an NBC press event in Beverly Hills on Saturday, rocking a knit mini-dress that flattered her slimmer figure.

The Voice judge, 32, is back to work on the singing competition for the upcoming season after taking a break, which allowed her time to focus on herself.

“Without the grueling production hours Christina can focus ... most importantly on herself,” a source told PEOPLE in March, adding that she had been eating healthy foods and trying new exercise routines.

"It's amazing what having some personal time can do not only for the body but also for the mind and the spirit," the source added.

"I've been through my highs, I've been through my lows," Aguilera has said of the focus on her figure. "Being too thin. Being bigger. I've been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It's noise I block out automatically."
 
Sandra Bullock Makes Her Comic-Con Debut

For her new sci-fi thriller Gravity, Sandra Bullock, who plays an astronaut adrift in space, had to be strung up in a specially made harness within a cube with her feet strapped together.

Sound claustrophobic? It sure beat the alternative – filming in a plane that simulates zero gravity known as the "vomit comet."

"I'm deathly afraid of flying" Bullock, who turns 49 July 26, told reporters at Comic-Con in San Diego on Saturday. "Anything they asked me to do after that, I couldn't care less what it was ... I didn't care [as long as] it wasn't in the vomit comet."

The Oscar-winning actress made her debut at the pop culture extravaganza Saturday to promote the film, which costars George Clooney and is directed by Alfonso Cuarón.

Bullock, whose character spends much of the film floating alone in space in complete silence, spent six months training for the role and continued to workout during the production – and it showed on a recent trip to London.

"I just wanted my body to get to a place where my core could accomplish anything," she said. "I wanted the look of her to be as androgynous as I could get, because in the story she experienced such great loss in life that she just stopped doing anything that reminder her of what she was, which was a mother and woman."

Now that's she's freed up from that cube and has her feet firmly on the ground, Bullock said she's ready to hit the Comic-Con floor, where fans pick up complimentary swag. "I'll do anything for free stuff," she said.
 

Shailene Woodley Does Her Own Stunts in Divergent

Good thing Shailene Woodley isn't afraid of heights!

The actress, 21, plays heroine Tris in Divergent, the first movie based on Veronica Roth's bestselling young-adult series.

"I have never done an action-type film," says Woodley, known for starring in the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager and playing George Clooney's daughter in the Oscar-nominated movie The Descendants. "So it's really exciting to jump into this."

In this exclusive photo from the Chicago set, Woodley dangles from an L train structure. "I'm such a physical, active person," Woodley told PEOPLE during a visit to the set. "So to be able to incorporate that with legit fight training and climbing up and down Ferris wheels, I'm so lucky."

Divergent, scheduled to hit theaters next March 21, is set in a grim, future Chicago. Society is divided into five different factions, each devoted to a specific virtue: Abnegation (the selfless), Candor (the honest), Amity (the peaceful), Erudite (the intelligent) and Dauntless (the brave).

At age 16, children take a test to determine their final placement. Woodley's character chooses the Dauntless faction and much like Tris, the actress wasn't afraid to go for it.

"I wish they would let me do more stunts," Woodley says. "I think it's really fun!"
 
Sofia Vergara: ‘I Don’t Believe In a Natural Look!’

Sofia Vergara turns 41 today, and to celebrate, she got a pretty great gift: a sexy, sassy cover story in Harper’s Bazaar — plus the season three kickoff episode of the mag’s web series, The Look (below).

The brunette bombshell is her candid, funny self in the issue, which hits stands August 16. She also poses for drop-dead gorgeous photos in Dolce & Gabbana (on the cover) and Ralph Lauren Collection (the dramatic photo at left).

But Vergara confesses that no matter how high-fashion she gets, she’s got it all in perspective. About her Hermès Birkin bag collection, she says “I tell [my son] Manolo, ‘If I don’t have enough money for your college this month, you have to sell the Birkins,’” and adds that she tells her business manager, “What would you prefer? Me popping champagne bottles and doing drugs and wasting money or buying bags? These are valuable. These, Manolo can sell!’”

She also admits that she never tires of playing up her sex-bomb image. “I’m Latin; I do it no matter what. It’s automatic,” she says. “I shower, do hair and makeup. For me, it’s like shaving. Stewart’s Really Trying to Make Biker Gloves Happen

Kristen Stewart’s keeping it really edgy lately.

At first we thought the biker-chic leather gloves the actress wore to the Chanel show in Paris were just to add some extra punch to her front row look. Turns out, Stewart is also incorporating the trend into her street style.

After the show, the star stepped out sporting one fingerless glove on her right hand. (And we wouldn’t be surprised if Twi-hards start cribbing this style tomorrow.) She ditched the rest of her Chanel couture ensemble for the classic KStew uniform: a graphic tee, gray skinnies and a pair of flats.

Aside from the leather gloves, Stewart’s proudly rocking two other new accessories — and they’re permanent.

The actress displayed some fresh ink including what looks like a tiny infinity symbol on the inside of her right wrist and four stacked parallel lines on the side of her left wrist.

Last month, Stewart visited Pride and Glory tattoo parlor in Nashville, Tenn., and the shop shared an Instagram picture of the star posing with a large group of people.

In the photo, she also appears to be showcasing the small black ink infinity symbol.

It's Miley's party, she can do what she wants.

On Friday and Saturday nights, Miley Cyrus and six girlfriends stepped out at Miami hip hop club, Cameo, where the group – who was seated at a VIP table – danced from midnight to 4 a.m.

"Miley was the life of the party both nights," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "She danced to songs by 2 Chainz, Kanye West and Jay-Z while showing off her hot physique."

Also out for a night of clubbing was Ke$ha, who was spotted "laughing and bumping and grinding," with the "We Can't Stop" singer, adds the source, after they both performed at the Fontainebleu's iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party on Saturday.

When Cyrus wasn't dancing or waving at fans, she appeared to be "having a great time requesting songs with the deejay," the source says.
 

Perry Kisses Mayer at Friars Club Roast in N.Y.C.

Katy Perry and John Mayer's on-again, off-again romance appears to be back on.

After recently telling Vogue magazine that she was "still madly in love" with Mayer, Perry was spotted out with the "Paper Doll" singer at New York's Greenwich Hotel on Saturday night and, later, at Monday's Friars Foundation Annual Applause Awards Gala honoring Don Rickles at the Waldorf-Astoria.

At the event, Mayer performed a tune made famous by Frank Sinatra, which captivated Perry.

"When John performed, Katy was enamored by his performance," a source tells PEOPLE. "He sang 'One for My Baby (and One More for the Road).' When they were sitting down, she had her arm around John at one point. They shared kisses."

But the signs of affection didn't end there – Perry and Mayer "were seen smooching and rubbing one another’s backs. They were affectionate towards one another – very lovey-dovey," says another onlooker.

At the end of the evening, Perry – wearing a peach-colored Sally LaPointe dress – and Mayer were photographed exiting the Waldorf Astoria together.
 
Drew Barrymore on Will Kopelman's Family: "I Won the In-Laws Jackpot"

As the daughter of two actors (and the granddaughter of showbiz vet John Barrymore), Drew Barrymore didn't have the most traditional upbringing. But what her life lacked in normalcy then, she's making up for now with husband Will Kopelman and his family.

Speaking with C Magazine about her yearlong marriage, the Big Miracle actress says she feels like she got lucky -- not just with her art consultant spouse but also with his parents. (Kopelman's dad is former Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman.)

"I won the in-laws jackpot," she tells the mag of her husband's close-knit clan, which now includes her and daughter Olive, 8 months. "It might be the best karma for having one of the wackiest upbringings. I never had dinner with my mom or dad, let alone together."

The concept of a family meal was so foreign to the star, in fact, that she initially wanted to just do away with the couple's dining room. "I told [Will], 'Dining rooms are stupid. They shouldn't exist. When was the last time we had a dinner party?'" she explains to the mag. "I wish we were those people who threw seasonal cocktail parties for our friends -- 'he owns a coffee place in Brooklyn and she works as a stylist.' But we will never be that couple."

Kopelman suggested, however, that they could be a couple who ate together and with their child -- a novel idea for Barrymore. "Family dinners would never have occurred to me, and that's what I want most," she tells C Magazine. "Now it's my life mission to figure out this room."

Alyssa Milano confessed on The Wendy Williams Show that she was the inspiration behind the character in the animated movie that hit theaters back in 1989.

"I actually was, yeah! Which I didn't know when it was going on!" Alyssa confirmed to Wendy Williams when asked if Ariel's looks were modeled after her. "I didn't know that when it was going on. But they asked me to host The Making of The Little Mermaid, and it came out there that the drawing and likeness of the little mermaid was based on pictures of me from when I was younger."

Animator Glen Keane created Ariel's facial features using pictures of Alyssa from the days when she starred on the hit '80s sitcom Who's The Boss.

"Doesn't that make you just want to dye your hair red and wear a clam-shell bra all the time?" joked Wendy.

"Yes," answered Alyssa. "That's how I walk around at home!"
 
Sarah Jessica Parker Announces Shoe Collection

In one of the most obvious and necessary design collaborations ever, Sarah Jessica Parker is gearing up to release her very own shoe collection.

Having played the stiletto-loving Carrie Bradshaw on both the big and small screen, Parker is teaming with Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus to bring a new line of shoes to department chain Nordstrom in 2014.

“In a silly way, I think it’s what people have expected of me most," the actress told Vogue of getting in the footwear game. Thecollection, simply called "SJP," will also include trench coats and handbags.

We certainly trust Parker's vision, though no one is perfect.

The 48-year-old has a fragrance collection and has designed an extremely affordable apparel line called "Bitten" for the now defunct Steve & Barry's.

But that’s not exactly the case with her new venture. SJP’s shoes and accessories have a projected price point of $300 to $700.
 

Angelina Jolie Wows in Sexy, Strapless Dress at Brad Pitt's Movie Premiere on Her Birthday

Behold the birthday girl! Angelina Jolie was white-hot at the Berlin premiere of fiance Brad Pitt's new movie, World War Z, on Tuesday, June 4 -- her 38th birthday. Stunning and slim in a strapless white silk crepe dress custom made by European design house Ralph & Russo, the radiant star made sure all eyes were on her and her longtime love, whose all-black ensemble offered a nice contrast to her crisp, bright look.

Jolie looked gorgeous in the glam frock, which featured a peplum waist, rose-gold detailing, and tiny round buttons down the back. Her long, brunette hair was curled into soft waves, and she beamed as she posed next to Pitt, 49, on the red carpet.

The Berlin premiere was Jolie's third official appearance in as many days. She previously stepped out in London at the film's June 2 screening -- her first public event since announcing in May that she had undergone a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery earlier this year.

"I feel wonderful!" she gushed to Us Weekly at Leicester Square's Empire Cinema. Added Pitt: "It's incredible to be here in London."

The next day, June 3, the couple enjoyed a night out in Paris, where they hit up the French premiere of World War Z and then celebrated Jolie turning 38. Joined by a small group of friends, the parents of six wined and dined at a local hotspot.

Speaking about her fiance in London, Jolie said she was grateful to Pitt for being such an "extraordinary" caretaker as she recovered from her multiple surgeries. "He's such a wonderful man and a wonderful father," she told reporters. "I'm very, very lucky."
 
Lopez on Marc Anthony Split, Divorces: I Never "Failed"

Jennifer Lopez is executive producing The Fosters, a new ABC Family drama about a non-traditional family, which is exactly how she describes her own family.

"I am a non-traditional family," the 43-year-old singer/actress says in a new interview with ABC News. "Me being a single mom, their dad doesn't live at home with them. They have three stepbrothers from two other moms . . . that's not traditional."

Lopez shares twins Max and Emma, 5, with her estranged third husband Marc Anthony, after they split in July 2011. Anthony, 44, is also dad to daughter Ariana with ex-girlfriend Debbie, and sons Cristian and Ryan with ex-wife Dayanara Torres.

"Do I want my children to feel weird about that? No I don't," Lopez said. "So putting a show like this one to me is, look, there is no perfect [of] what family is supposed to be." (The Fosters is about a multi-ethnic family of foster and biological children who are being raised by two moms.)

"It's about love and that's what I constantly remind myself of because I kind of let society get inside my head, 'Oh, it shouldn't be like this. I did this, I did that. I failed.' And it's like, no. They're happy, they're healthy, they're loved more than anything in the world and they're going to be fine," she explained. "I want them to know that."

Lopez has been dating her former backup dancer turned choreographer, Casper Smart, 25, since October 2011. The Wedding Planner actress, however, isn't busy planning her fourth wedding.

"Not anytime soon," Lopez said with a big laugh.

But the two have a very strong relationship. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar in January, Lopez said, "He's fantastic; he's like my best friend. I can tell him everything, when I'm feeling down, when I'm feeling good. He gives moral support, endless love and support."

Kelly Osbourne Slams Lady Gaga as a "Great Big Hypocrite"

So much for letting bygones be bygones. It's been months since the last war of words between Kelly Osbourne and Lady Gaga, but Osbourne's new interview in Cosmopolitan magazine could stir the pot again. Asked about her ongoing feud with the "Born This Way" singer, the Fashion Police co-host didn't hold back.

"I loved Lady Gaga. I totally believed in everything she stood for, until I realized she's a great big hypocrite," the star, 28, told Cosmo. "Don't say, 'When you see bullying, intervene,' while letting your fans send me death threats. If my fans did that, I would not stand for it."

(In an interview with the U.K.'s Fabulous magazine in January, Osbourne claimed that Gaga's fans were "the worst" when it came to bullying. "They've said I should kill myself, that they hope I get raped," she said of the outcry over her fashion critique of the pop icon's red carpet look at the 2012 Grammys.)

"You can say whatever you want with your millions of monsters," Osbourne told Cosmo of the singer. "I know the truth. Your bells and whistles mean nothing to me. You're feeding on the freaks and geeks to further your career? Do you really care about the gay community? Because if you did, you'd stand up for it more than you do."

"Don't let your fans be so hideously damaging, hurtful, violent...on your website," she admonished the pop star. "If you are a Mother Monster, monitor it. Why haven't you, as a responsible young woman, said, 'No violence on my website, no violence, no threats, no violence.'"

"All I'm asking her to do is to stay true to her foundation, which she said [she created because] she wants the world to be a braver, kinder world," Sharon explained to her co-hosts.
 
Amanda Seyfried's Dog Lands a Movie Role

Amanda Seyfried has never been shy about her love of Australian shepherd Finn – just check out her Twitter! – and it seems people are noticing.

"Let's talk about your dog. Now I love animals, everyone knows that I love animals. Your relationship with your dog is borderline," Ellen DeGeneres tells the Epic actress during a Thursday appearance on her talk show.

"Oh yeah, I know," responds Seyfried, 27. "He's with me right now. He's actually backstage. I really can't go many places without him."

No surprise here: Finn will soon be joining his mom on movie sets, too.

"I got him cast in his first movie," Seyfried reveals. "I can't really talk about his character, but it's going to shoot in September. I'm really excited about it. He's really excited about it."

Noting that the Les Misérables star is also a pet parent to cats, DeGeneres presses to find out why Finn has such a special place in Seyfried's heart.

"He cuddles with me and he listens to me, and he loves me and he looks at me all the time," says the starlet, as DeGeneres displays Twitter photos of the pair on the big screen behind her. She adds: "I got to stop doing selfies with him."

While in town for the Cannes Film Festival, the actor, 38, was photographed partying at Gotha Club on Monday with his friend, fellow actor Lukas Haas – and a mystery woman.

Keeping a low profile in a newsboy hat, the Great Gatsby star, 38, was spotted giving a thumbs up to a woman in a white top. Later, she mimicked his gesture and returned it with a smile.

While filming a scene on the N.Y.C. set of Mania Days Tuesday, Katie Holmes came face-to-face with a squirrel – and that's when things went nuts.

Testing her quick reflexes, the actress seemingly tried to pet her new furry friend at one point. (As a New Yorker, we'd think she would know better than to try and touch a rodent!)

The film, her first major movie role since splitting from husband Tom Cruise, stars Holmes, 34, as a manic-depressive who finds romance with a fellow patient at a psychiatric hospital. Perhaps going nuts was just part of staying in character.

 

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Break Up

Twilight fans may want to sit down for this one.

As rumors of relationship trouble continue to swirl, a source tells PEOPLE that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have called it quits after more than three years of dating. Reps for the two could not be reached.

But the source says it would not be surprising if the on-and-off-again pair got back together again.

The news follows online reports that Pattinson ditched out on his 27th birthday plans arranged by Stewart.

Prior to his birthday, the pair appeared to be on and going strong: They were seen in New York together after the Met Gala – and then flew back to Los Angeles together on May 8. They also recently celebrated Stewart's 23rd birthday together and held hands at Coachella – despite the actress's cheating scandal with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders last July.

Following the ordeal – which included a public apology from Stewart to Pattinson – the duo reunited less than two months later and appeared to be back to normal.

With the exception of some paparazzi kissing shots and Stewart's admission of her fling, after which she openly professed her love for Pattinson, the two never publicly addressed their romance.

Stewart was known for playing coy about her relationship in interviews, most recently telling Today's Savannah Guthrie she likes to "keep 'em guessing" about her love life.

Despite their recent run-in with the law, Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth seemed to be as in love as ever in New York on Tuesday.

The couple stopped into SoHo's C. Wonder but "they came in separately and held hands as they perused the store," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "When they were in the back of the store, they even snuck in a smooch!"

The Mud actress couldn't hide her smile around Toth and purchased two pairs of sunglasses.

"They seemed to have great chemistry together and while they were checking out, they were hugging and cuddling," the source adds. "They clearly aren't afraid of PDA."
 

Gwyneth Paltrow: Met Gala "Sucked," We're "Too Old" to Dress Punk

After swearing off the annual event during a recent interview with USA Today, the Iron Man 3 actress expounded at length about the disastrous evening over a raucous meal with Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O -- though she did warn them that she was "drunk already" after "a martini went straight to my head and now wine with no food."

"Do you want me to be honest?" she asked the hosts in an audio recording from the meal. "It sucked. It seems like it's the best thing in the world, you always think, 'Oh my god, it's gonna be so glamorous and amazing and you're going to see all these people' and then you get there and it's so hot and it's so crowded and everyone's pushing you."

The 40-year-old actress, who wore a modest hot pink Valentino Haute Couture Corolle gown, added that she didn't think the punk theme was even age appropriate.

"I think we're all a bit old to dress up punk," she said by way of explaining why she didn't get into the spirit of things. "I just went as kind of normal." (Her former BFF Madonna, 54, embodied the punk theme with a racy fishnet body stocking, a studded jacket, and hot pink pumps.)

Paltrow even took a shot at pal Kanye West, who performed at the Met Gala. "Kanye West was playing and he was all furious and he threw his microphone down and it was all drama," she complained of the "intense" evening. "I don't know why."

One thing she did enjoy about the evening, however, was getting to meet Korean rapper Psy, whom she and husband Chris Martin hunted down on the crowded red carpet.

"We're at the Met Ball and our son is obsessed with [Psy]…so we went up and Chris was like, 'Hello, I'm from the band Coldplay,' but then Psy didn't seem to know who he was," she recounted. "But then he put two and two together and he was really happy to meet Chris. And we said, 'We're so sorry to bother you, but could we have a picture for our children?'"

"I like his style. it's like MC hammer meets a Scottish sort of -- I don't know what's happening," she added as she showed the radio hosts a picture.

Paltrow also opened up about the extreme response to the scandalous Antonio Berardi dress she wore at the Apr. 24 Hollywood premiere of Iron Man 3 -- which featured a daring sheer side panel that exposed the entirety of her leg, from hip to toe.

"I told Ellen [DeGeneres] that I had an emergency, and basically because I wasn't wearing underwear with that dress, I had a situation where … because underwear keeps everything … so I had no underwear so I wasn't tucked in properly," she finally managed to explain. "So they were like you need to shave it. …so now I look like an 8-year-old girl."

"It was all a disaster," she concluded.

Megan Fox has some competition! The gorgeous 26-year-old actress was spotted filming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles alongside her equally stunning body double.

Fox caused a double-take when she chatted with her look-alike on the NYC set Wednesday, May 8. Both ladies were dressed in the same yellow leather jacket, gray shirt, dark jeans and high-heeled boots, to play the role of Channel 6 reporter April O'Neil.

For the live-action, CGI film, Fox is teaming back up with producer Michael Bay, after famously feuding when they worked together on the first two Transformers movies. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also stars Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) and Danny Woodburn (Splinter).

Though it's hard for Fox to hide her good looks, the actress recently told the U.K.'s Mirror that she won't be taking on super-sexy roles now that she's a mom.

"[Motherhood] changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby," said Fox, who welcomed son Noah with husband Brian Austin Green in September. "I'm going to be more cautious about choosing films because I'm already thinking about when he's in school and his friends are going to be showing him my photo shoots with me in a bikini and he's going to be horrified."
 

Gwyneth Paltrow Asks Miranda Kerr: "Is It Weird to Be That Pretty?"

Gwyneth Paltrow has crowned Miranda Kerr as the best-dressed celebrity to walk the red carpet at this year's Met Gala. "She was wearing a black Michael Kors dress that was sort of like a sparkling bandeau, and her whole stomach was showing," the 40-year-old Oscar winner told Entertainment Weekly of the 30-year-old supermodel. "It was really beautiful. It was a little punk-y. She's just so pretty, it's abnormal."

In fact, Paltrow complimented the former Victoria's Secret Angel during the annual event. "I was like, 'Is it weird to be that pretty?'" the Iron Man 3 actress recalled, laughing. "And she was like, 'No.'"

Sadly, the GOOP goddess didn't top Kerr's best-dressed list. (Paltrow wore a hot pink Valentino Haute Couture and Wilfredo Rosado earrings at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.) Her pick, instead, was an old pal of Paltrow's. "I think Madonna was cool!" Orlando Bloom's wife told Us Weekly at the Cinema Society's New York City screening of The Great Gatsby on May 7. "I also think Debbie Harry was awesome. She got up and was singing. It was a fun night a really fun night!"

Kerr also admitted she wasn't shy about baring her midriff on the red carpet. "I like to dance a lot. I put the music on at home," she explained. "My son [Flynn, 2] loves it. We dance together and I hold him. It's just a good way for the family to have fun and still do exercise."

Like mother, like daughter! Supermodel Cindy Crawford was spotted in Malibu, California, on Sunday along with her beautiful 11 year old, Kaia Gerber, after Kaia appeared in "13 the Musical."

She stars in the play about growing up, and judging by her mature look, she really plays the part well!

Cindy was snapped looking cool and casual in jeans and a sweater, while her daughter got a little more glammed up, rocking a black crop top, maroon maxi skirt, and looking like a total supermodel-in-training. We have to admit, it really comes as no surprise, considering she is the offspring of modeling royalty.

Kaia followed in her model mom's footsteps last year, posing for the first Versace children's campaign when she was just 10 years old. But Cindy had decided to put her daughter's modeling career on the back burner until she's older.

In an interview last year with The Daily before it ceased publication, Cindy said, "At this point, she's too young to pursue a career. There aren't even a handful of jobs for a 10 year old girl.

But if she's 17 and wants to try it … of course, what can I say?"

Robert Pattinson (and about 40 friends) helped Kristen Stewart ring in her 23rd birthday on April 9 with a margarita-fueled dinner at Malo, a Mexican eatery in Silver Lake, Calif.

"They celebrated with Mexican food, beers and margaritas. Kristen was in a great mood," an onlooker says of the pair. "She and Rob seemed great too. They were a bit affectionate, but mostly mingled separately."

After dinner, the group – which included Spring Breakers star Ashley Benson – headed to No Vacancy at Hotel Juniper in Hollywood for drinks.

Stewart, who smiled "all night," says a source, adds that "she and Rob looked happy together. They seem to be back to normal."

Next stop for the couple: The Coachella Music Festival, for which Stewart has rented a house in nearly Palm Springs.
 
Meyer: Stewart, Pattinson Cheating Scandal Was "Tragic"

Stephenie Meyer is shame-spiraling over Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's epic romantic traumas. As the bestselling author of the Twilight Saga books, Meyer was instrumental in making global celebrities out of Pattinson, 26, and Stewart, 22, who starred as onscreen loves in the blockbuster film franchise based on her series.

"Here's the thing: there are some actors who are looking to be world famous, to be that household name, and although they might discover that there are a lot of negative things involved in that, it's what they want," Meyer, now promoting the film adaptation of her book The Host, told British mag The Times.

"But that doesn't apply to Kristen and Rob," she observes of the pair, whose real-life relationship was put to the ultimate test last summer, when Stewart was photographed cheating on Pattinson with Rupert Sanders, her married Snow White and the Huntsman director. "That's what makes it kind of ironic and tragic.''

Meyer says of the press-shy couple, ''I just don't think they enjoy the parts [of fame] that other people would. And I totally get that, because it would not be my thing either."

(Stewart and Pattinson reconciled last fall; they're now thousands of miles apart as the British actor films in Australia.) Married mother of three Meyer, of course, doesn't have to deal with movie-star style fame. "At the same time - and this is where the guilt comes from - it's created this nice, peaceful place for me," she admits. "They took all of my heat, which I feel bad about."

"If they had the choice, I've no idea if they'd even do Twilight again," she muses. "I just don't know. I think this has all come at a heavy price."

 

Kristin Davis signs on for CBS's "Bad Teacher" pilot

Kristin Davis is moving on from "Sex and the City" to man-hunting in the school halls.

"SATC" alum Davis has signed on for CBS's adaptation of the 2011 Cameron Diaz movie "Bad Teacher."

CBS's "Bad Teacher" pilot will star "Fringe" actress Ari Graynor as Meredith Davis, a sexy, foul-mouthed divorcee who becomes a teacher to find her next husband.

Davis will play Ginny, a math teacher, choir director and faculty president who is also Meredith's nemesis.

The cast also includes David Alan Grier, Ryan Hansen, Sara Rodier and Sara Gilbert.

Hilary Winston ("My Name Is Earl," "Community") is writing and executive producing. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who were behind the film, are executive producing as well.

The single-camera pilot is being produced by Sony Pictures Television, in association with Mosaic Media Group.
 
Jennifer Lawrence Glows Without Makeup in Hawaii

After winning the Best Actress Oscar on Sunday for “Silver Linings Playbook,” Jennifer Lawrence headed to Hawaii … but she wasn’t going on vacation.

The newly brunette actress is in the Aloha State to film more scenes for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” Lawrence, 22, was snapped on Wednesday enjoying a rare moment of downtime on the balcony of her hotel room.
Sporting her new ‘do, sweats, and a T-shirt, the 22-year-old actress proved she is just as beautiful sans makeup as she is when she’s glammed up in Dior.

Lawrence was accompanied by a female friend and the two girls were photographed sharing a bottle of wine and a few laughs.

“The Hunger Games” star will film for about two weeks in Hawaii and then will start production on “X Men: Days of Futures Past.”

Fortunately, there shouldn’t be too much awkwardness for Lawrence while shooting the “X Men” sequel with ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult.

The “Warm Bodies” actor just said how “thrilled” he was for Lawrence about her recent Oscar win.

 

Jennifer Lawrence: I'm Setting Bradley Cooper Up on Dates With My Friends

Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper have undeniable onscreen chemistry, but the Silver Linings Playbook costars have no intention of dating in real life. Despite rumors to the contrary, both actors have repeatedly refuted reports that they're an item.

Before Lawrence nabbed the Best Actress in a Leading Role at Sunday's Academy Awards, the 22-year-old spoke to MTV about her alleged affection for Cooper. (The Oscar winner split with her X-Men: First Class costar Nicholas Hoult in January following a two-year courtship.)

"My publicist told me that a magazine was going to say I was having a thing with either [The Hunger Games: Catching Fire's] Sam Claflin or Bradley Cooper, and I got to choose. And I chose Bradley Cooper because I love Sam's fiancee [actress Laura Haddock] so much," Lawrence said. "Sam is so sweet. So sweet that he's almost not hot anymore."

Cooper, whose on-and-off romance with Zoe Saldana ended in December 2012, is even getting assistance from Lawrence in the dating department. "I feel like all I've been doing lately is setting him up," the actress revealed. "I was like, 'You know what? I'm gonna save time and just get you a booklet with pictures of my friends. You just go through and pick them out, because this is getting exhausting.'"

Unlike the Limitless leading man, Lawrence isn't looking for a rebound romance. In fact, all she really wanted on Oscars night was some fast food. "I can see the McDonald's right there," the hungry actress said, pointing to the chain restaurant located across the street. Lawrence's publicist then offered to get her some grub. "And you have to remind them about ketchup, because they never include ketchup!" Lawrence warned. "You have to ask for it. Cheapskates!"

"Ketchup on french fries is a classic," Lawrence told MTV, "and today is a classic day."
 
Anne Hathaway's Oscar Dress Had You Talking

The Oscars may honor the best in film, but they'd be nothing without the fashion.

When Anne Hathaway stepped on to the red carpet in a light pink backless Prada gown at Sunday's 85th Annual Academy Awards, she made quite the fashion statement.

While the gown seemed simple from the front, at second glance, an open back and thigh-high slit gave it a sexy edge. Hathaway, 30, told Kristin Chenoweth on ABC's red carpet that her mom called the dress "business in front, party in the back."

But the dress may have served as a lucky charm for Hathaway, who took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Les Misérables.

"It came true. Thank you so much to the Academy for this and for nominating me with Helen Hunt, Jacki Weaver, Amy Adams and Sally Field. I look up to you all so much and it's just been such an honor. Thank you," Hathaway said upon receiving her Oscar.

She continued, "There are so many people whose generosity and support is the reason I'm standing here right now. I must thank Hugh Jackman. Hugh, you're the best. The cast, the crew, especially Simon Hayes and the sound wizards. Congratulations on tonight, you guys."

Hathaway continued thanking the cast and the crew before giving a romantic shout out to her husband, Adam Shulman.

"By far and away, the greatest moment of my life is the one when you walked into it. I love you so much. And thank you for this. Here's hoping that someday in the not too distant future the misfortunes of Fantine will only be found in stories and never in real life. Thank you."
 

Jennifer Lawrence: The "F" Word Was All I Could Think When I Fell at the Oscars

Jennifer Lawrence's Best Actress win at the 85th Annual Academy Awards was memorable for more than just her role the movie.

The Silver Linings Playbook star, 22, took a little fall on her way up to accept her statuette.

"Look at my dress!" she told reporters backstage after the show, of her Christian Dior Couture gown. "I tried to walk upstairs in this dress. That's what happened. I think I stepped on the fabric and they waxed the stairs."

There wasn't too much going through her head at the time of the tumble except "a bad word that starts with 'F'," she said with a laugh.

But it was more than her trip that put a strain on her day.

"The process today was so stressful," she said. "I felt like Steve Martin in Father of the Bride, watching my house being torn apart. And my whole family was getting ready. It was chaotic. I didn't eat today because I was so stressed. And then I was starving on the way over and that sucked."

But it sounds like matters were fixed for the smiling starlet, who jokingly apologized for taking a shot right before she chatted with press.
 
Kim Kardashian To Continue With Keeping Up With The Kardashians Though Season 10

Kim Kardashian fans can rest easy - you still have two more seasons of the mom-to-be on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" to enjoy.

Speculation swirled on Wednesday following Kim's interview with Dujour Magazine, where she said the show's ninth season would likely be her last.

"I think there's always an evolution of, you know, what you want to do in life," she told the mag. "It's all about finding things that really excite you and motivate you and spark you all over again. I'm realizing that no matter what, if you go into something with all these expectations and plans, once you're actually living it, it could be completely different."

Kim - who is in the midst of filming the E! series' eighth season - also noted that Kanye West, who she's having a baby with, "has taught me a lot about privacy."

The reality star cleared up the confusion surrounding her future involvement with the show on her website.

"I know that many of you have read the Dujour Magazine interview I just did. In the article, I was asked about continuing on with 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians.' As everyone knows, we are extremely proud of the show and all of us are staying on through at least season 10," she wrote.

Adding, "The show remains to be my number 1 priority and it's a big part of my life and I enjoy every moment of it. It has given me such a rare opportunity to share more of my life with all of you and has brought my family closer to each other. I'm looking forward to the new season and beyond. The fact is that I have many goals that I still need to reach and accomplish and I (like so many of you) don't know where my life will be in the next couple of years, but I'm looking forward to continuing this journey."

Carrie Underwood definitely needed armed guards at her side at the Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday (Feb. 10). Radiant and sexy in a Roberto Cavalli gown, the country singer, 29, was rocking some out-of-control bling . . . $31 million worth!

The multiple Grammy winner (and nominee) wore over $31 million in precious diamonds by designer Johnathon Arndt. Underwood's necklace alone feature 381 carats of oval, pear, marquis and round brilliant white diamonds, according to a press release from the jeweler.

Joked Underwood: ""It's worth more than me."

One fellow nominee Underwood may be avoiding during the big awards fest? Opening act Taylor Swift. A source told Us Grammy execs were told to keep the singer "from crossing paths" at the Feb. 10 show "since they hate each other!"

Says a Swift pal, "Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steer clear of her." (A Grammy rep counters, "No requests were received from either artist.")

Did "Silver Linings Playbook" actress Jennifer Lawrence flash a lining of a different sort while accepting her trophy Sunday at the SAG Awards?

Many watching on TV thought Lawrence ripped her gown as she lifted it up to make the trek up the stairs toward her prize for female actor in a film and indeed, for a moment, a lighter, sheer navy could be seen flashing across her thighs.
But never fear. The dress was Christian Dior, honey, which means it was designed that way.

"The dress is made with different levels of tulle and satin and that is what the viewers saw when Jennifer lifted her dress slightly," the House of Dior said Monday in a statement obtained by USA Today. "It was not ripped and there was no malfunction ... it was the design of the gown."
 

Victoria Beckham Says When It Comes to Fashion, She's a 'Control Freak'

Victoria Beckham has managed to balance a successful fashion career with her family life – but not without some criticism ... from her children!

In the March issue of Elle UK, the 38-year-old mother of four says her cooking skills don't align with her design talents and her brood will attest to that.

"You know what they say to me, because I'm not the best cook, although I try really hard? They always say to me: 'Mummy, we know that the main ingredient in what you make is love,'" she says.

But when it comes to her clothing line, Beckham is the expert.

As her family moves back to the U.K. after years in Los Angeles while her husband David played for L.A. Galaxy, Victoria says she's had to learn to rely on others more as she continues to articulate her vision in a growing fashion empire.

"You've got to trust people," she says. "And because I am a control freak, that's difficult for me because I want to micro-manage absolutely everything. I can't hand over," she said. "But I'm trying to do that more. It's hard because I have such a specific vision."

Beckham credits her own work ethic – and that of her husband – for catapulting her into the upper echelon of the design world, where the former Spice Girl was a fashion plate in her own right before earning global respect for her clothing and product lines.

"It was never my intention to prove anybody wrong," she says of her success. "I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I don't have to work. I need to work. I believe you can achieve anything if you work hard enough to get it."

They say the SAG Awards are a clear predictor for who will take home an Oscar next month. If that is true then Anne Hathaway is clearly the front runner in the Best Supporting Actress race! After taking home the award at the Golden Globes, Anne won a SAG tonight for her heartbreaking role of Fantine in Les Miserables.

"I got my SAG card when I was 14-years-old. It felt like the beginning of the world," a glowing Anne said from the podium. "I have loved every minute of my life as an actor."

She also thanked her mom, a member of SAG for voting for her as well as the cast of the other hit movie she was in last year, Dark Knight Rises. "I feel like as an actor, whatever you learn in one job you use in the next."

Jennifer Lopez Was "Beaming" At Ex Ben Affleck During His Golden Globes Win

Supportive exes! Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were reunited at the 2013 Golden Globes Sunday, Jan. 13. The former couple, who were dubbed "Bennifer" while they were dating and briefly engaged from 2002-2004, both attended the show and it didn't turn into an awkward reunion. When Affleck took the stage to accept his award for Best Director for Argo, an insider tells Us Weekly that Lopez was "beaming" and "paid close attention to the stage."

Affleck, 40, has been married to actress Jennifer Garner for seven years and they have three children together. The actor thanked his wife, 40, in his acceptance speech, saying, "I adore you. I love you so much. Thanks for sitting through this. You are my everything."

The normally fresh-faced actress works a sexy smoky eye which we plan on replicating this weekend in the advertisement for the brand’s new Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks (in stores in February for $28 each). Pretty pink lips, loose waves and a statement necklace complement the dramatic makeup effect.

It turns out Holmes was a fan of the makeup company long before she started working with the team. “[Bobbi Brown's] color palettes aren’t extreme, so when I first started wearing makeup it felt comfortable and I didn’t feel like I had too much on,” Holmes says in a statement.

She adds that she also admires Bobbi Brown the person, as well. “I met her, and she is just a lovely person — so generous. I think that it’s so exciting what she’s built with this company. She’s an incredible woman. So I’m thrilled on so many levels.”
 
Scarlett Johannson Never Thinks About Marriage

Scarlett Johansson says she won't be walking down the aisle again anytime soon simply because, she says, she "never" thinks of marriage.

In an interview with ELLE UK magazine in its February issue, Johansson says she married young the first time to now-ex-husband Ryan Reynolds, and right now, she's enjoying a committed relationship … minus the ring.

"It's really not important to me," Johansson, who's currently starring on Broadway in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, told ELLE UK of marriage. "The only time I ever think about it is when people ask me, 'Would I get married again?' "

"I'm not having kids any time soon," she continued. "I'm in a nice relationship, I'm working a lot and, like I said, it's not important to me."

As for married life, the actress explained: "I got married when I was young and it was incredibly romantic and I liked being married, actually. But it is different. It's hard to put into words."

"To me," continued Johansson, "being in a functioning relationship doesn't mean you have to be married."

The actress, who stars in Hitchcock alongside Anthony Hopkins, Jessica Biel and Helen Mirren, is reportedly dating French journalist Romain Dauriac, 30. And apparently she enjoys the company of a man who is not in show business, calling relationships with actors "monotonous."

Johansson, however, says she likes her men on the artsy side.

"For me, most importantly, I look for a partner who is creative," she explains. "I like people that have a colorful way of looking at things, that are inspiring and like art, music and film."

Olivia Culpo went from being Miss USA to Miss Universe on Wednesday night and it didn't take her long for her to begin thinking internationally ... at least when it comes to eating.

"I can't wait to go to Asia," the 20-year-old Rhode Island beauty told PEOPLE on Thursday morning.

"I've never been anywhere in Asia. I like Asian food.

I love soup. I really want to go to Vietnam and try some soup. There's nothing like it being authentic."

Heather Dubrow Guest Stars with Reba McEntire on Malibu Country

She's gone country! Malibu Country, that is.

Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow, who also goes by Heather Paige Kent, has landed a guest-starring role on Reba McEntire's ABC sitcom.

In the episode, Dubrow plays Brooke, a friend of Reba's neighbor Kim Sallinger (Sara Rue).

"Reba finds herself in a bit of a pickle when she says some unkind things about Kim – not knowing that the camera is rolling – and tries to pin the blame on Kim's friend Brooke," reads a press release from ABC.

The episode of Malibu Country, which airs Fridays (8:30 p.m. ET), is expected to air in January.

The show also stars Lily Tomlin as Reba's medicinal marijuana-using mother, Lille Mae MacKenzie.
 
Tom Cruise Shuts Down London's Trafalgar Square With Sci-Fi Thriller 'All You Need is Kill'

Not much can shut down Trafalgar Square's hustle and bustle in London except for of course, Tom Cruise.

The former hubby of Katie Holmes is filming his sci-fi thriller, All You Need is Kill, across the pond and arrived to shoot a scene aboard a Royal Air Force helicopter, as per the U.K.'s Telegraph.

As Tom was decked out in military garb, tanks were strewn on the set. He'll co-star in the film with Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton. In the thriller, an alien race lands on the planet and begins destroying cities and killing millions of people. Armies from countless countries join forces to overthrow the aliens.

No stranger to larger than life roles, Tom plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, an officer who previously was not in combat! Without revealing any spoilers let's just say, it sounds like he kicks some major butt in the film and gets knocked down himself as well.

All You Need is Kill will catapult into theaters in March 2014. Tom has his work cut out for him though -- he'll appear in a spy thriller Jack Reacher next month and then a space-set film, Oblivion, this April.
 

Last Installment of 'Twilight' Takes Top Spot at Box Office — But Didn't Beat Its Own Record

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 opened in theaters Nov. 16 and nabbed the top spot at the box office for the weekend with an estimated $141.3 million.

No one is surprised that Twilight was the most profitable film of the weekend, but it is a little surprising that it failed to make as much money as New Moon, which raked in $154 million in November 2009.

When Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart broke up last summer, many wondered if the end of the real-life love story would affect how much fans would want to see the conclusion of their on-screen relationship. Most critics agreed that it would not make a difference in ticket sales, and it looks like they were right, even if the final installment failed to surpass the numbers of New Moon.

Our own critic gave Breaking Dawn — Part 2 a pretty stellar review, and for the most part, we've been hearing that fans who have already seen it, loved it. If you haven't seen it yet, let us know why, if you're planning on it and what you're expecting!
 
Robert Pattinson Was Supposed to Have a 'Big Man's Dog'

When he adopted rescue puppy Bear from a Louisiana shelter, the Twilight star expected the dog to grow ... and keep growing.

"He was supposed to be a big man's dog," Pattinson explains on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in Friday's episode. "But he just kind of got stunted."

That hasn't stopped Bear from getting lots of love. "I'm obsessed," exclaims costar Taylor Lautner, who joined Pattinson for the talk show appearance.

And let's not forget Bear's other owner, Kristen Stewart, who so adores the pooch that she refers to him as her child.

"Is his tongue too long for his mouth or something?" DeGeneres asks while looking at Bear's picture. "It's like a Gene Simmons dog."

"It's like a curtain," Pattinson says.

The intense scrutiny that comes with the belonging to one of the world's most famous couples comes with perks. Bear was once on a euthanasia list, and he went from there to flying on private jets.

"We were staying at the Four Seasons afterward," Pattinson explains. "He didn't have any dog food so I got him a little plate of prosciutto."

Emma Watson heads back to school at Brown University

Emma Watson will soon go from studying scripts to studying text books. The “Harry Potter” star plans to return to college early next year to complete her degree.
The 22-year-old British actress will rejoin undergraduate life at Brown University in Rhode Island in January for the spring semester, according to Gossip Cop. Watson is returning to a familiar spot – she originally enrolled in the Ivy League school in September 2009, but put her studies on hold in 2011 to focus on promoting the final installment in the “Harry Potter” franchise. Instead of returning to Brown right away, she then spent a semester abroad at Oxford University in fall 2011 – smart move, that’s where she met her boyfriend Will Adamowicz! -- then took another break from school to film “The Bling Ring” last spring and “Noah” this fall.

When Watson first left Brown, she assured her fans that she planned to return to Providence. "As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything, but recently I've had so much to juggle that being a student and fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible," the actress – best known for playing bookworm Hermione Granger in “Potter” – posted on her blog at the time. "I will still be working towards my degree. It's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought."

Watson also shot down reports that she had been bullied on the Brown campus. "It made me so sad when all this stuff came out that I left Brown because I was being bullied," Watson told Britain's Sunday Times' Style Magazine in 2011. "It made no sense at all. Brown has been the opposite. … I've never even been asked for an autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students, and not a single person put a photo on Facebook. Anyway, even if I was being given a hard time, I wasn't going to wuss out of university because someone said 'Wingardium leviosa' to me in a corridor, or 'Ten points for Gryffindor.' I've been dealing with the media since I was 9. If I can't stand up to a few people giving me a hard time, it's a bit pathetic, really. I've had so much worse."
 
Beyonce Quits A Star Is Born Remake

Beyonce won't be following in the footsteps of Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland after all.

The singer, actress and mom, 31, has pulled out of a much-anticipated remake of A Star Is Born directed by Clint Eastwood, Variety was first to report.

"I was looking forward to the production of A Star Is Born and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood," the "I Was Here" singer told E! News. "For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together."

To be directed by Eastwood, the film will be the fourth "A Star Is Born," about a singing female superstar who struggles to stand by her man, a fading, alcoholic actor. Janet Gaynor starred in the 1937 original, with Garland and James Mason reprising it in 1954, and Streisand and Kris Kristofferson headlining a 1976 version.

Although names like Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Christian Bale and Johnny Depp have been mentioned, a male lead has yet to be cast in the film, which was first delayed by Beyonce's 2011-2012 pregnancy with daughter Blue Ivy.

Variety reports that Grammy-winning jazz singer Esperanza Spalding could possibly be cast as the leading woman.
 

Mariah Hires Extra Security After Nicki Feud

Barbara Walters shared some concerning comments from Mariah Carey following a reports on Wednesday that Nicki Minaj cursed out Carey on the American Idol set.

On Thursday's The View, Walters revealed that she had spoken with Carey, 42, before the show, and disclosed that the singer had hired extra security after Minaj, 29, was overheard saying while walking off set, "If I had a gun, I'd shoot a b****."

Though Carey is very concerned and not "comfortable emotionally," Walters said she doesn't actually think anything will happen but can't take a chance. "Nicki said after the meeting, 'I love you but we may fight again.' Mariah said, 'No I will not,'" Walters read.

Meanwhile, according to Carey's comments, the other new judge Keith Urban just wants everything to be normal.

Carey told Walters that they've been in meetings with the producers since the altercation, and are set to have a photo shoot later today.

The singer's hope is that everyone will act in a professional manner.

 

Sofia Vergara Emmys Dress Split

Sofia Vergara‘s, uh, ‘cheeky’ Tweet certainly went viral following Sunday night’s Emmy Awards, but the actress didn’t find her wardrobe malfunction very amusing.

“The picture was taken by my boyfriend [Nick Loeb] to tell me how bad [the split] was, because I wouldn’t understand how bad it was and I kept walking all over the event,” Vergara told reporters in New York on Thursday while promoting her Kmart collection. “So he was like, ‘You have to stop! Let me show you what is going on in the back [of your dress].’”

After seeing the photo, “I almost had a heart attack,” the Modern Family star said. “And then I wanted to get it fixed very fast because I wanted to be part of the celebration of receiving [Modern Family's outstanding comedy series] Emmy on stage.”

The actress was whisked away “downstairs somewhere backstage,” she recalled, where “two women … sewed me back in without even taking the dress off because we didn’t have enough time.” Luckily, they fixed the sea green Zuhair Murad creation quickly, and Vergara was able to join her castmates on stage for their big moment.

The source of the tear is still a mystery to the star; she insisted she was sitting for most of the telecast. But now she looks back on the moment with a grin. “It was like a funny joke,” she said of the photo. “We were laughing at it.”

 
Keira Knightley: 'I had no life' besides acting

Actress Keira Knightley seems to be in a good place personally and professionally. She's engaged to marry musician James Righton and stars in the film adaptation of "Anna Karenina" alongside Jude Law.

The 27-year-old tells Vogue magazine's October issue, there was a time when she wasn't in such a good place.

She recalls a time when the fame from such roles as "Bend it like Beckham" and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise was too intense. She says she "literally had no life outside of acting" and desired to "not be 'on' all the time."

Instead of working, Knightley read books, cooked and lived in France.

The October issue of Vogue goes on sale nationwide Sept. 25.

 

Lea Michele Lands Contract to Become Face of L'Oréal

Congrats go out to Lea Michele! The Glee star landed a big contract with cosmetic giant, L'Oréal.

The ads will be revealed at the end of the month as per Page Six and she'll follow in the footsteps of some famous faces like Eva Longoria, Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez who also previously inked deals with L'Oréal. Hopefully one manager in particular who gave her some advice will see the new ad campaign.

She told Allure magazine, "When I was 15...a manager said, 'You have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you.' My mother would say to me, 'Barbara Streisand never got a nose job. You're not getting a nose job.'"

Something tells us beau Cory Monteith is pretty proud of his girlfriend! Lea recently opened up to Nylon and indicated what a positive influence he's had on her life. "I came to a place where I’m much happier personally in my life," she told the magazine. "Because of that I really don’t feel like I need to explain anything or be anything. I’m really proud of who I am.”

 
Kristen Stewart in Official U.S. Teaser Trailer for 'On the Road'

The international trailer was released months ago, and now the official U.S. teaser trailer for On the Road has been released. The movie, based on the famed novel by Jack Kerouac, stars Kristen Stewart.

For those who haven't read the book (read the book!), the story follows writer Sal Paradise (Sam Riley) and free-spirited Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund) as they travel across the United States in the late 1940s.

The speed of the trailer strives to mimic the narrative of the novel, but it doesn't show enough to know how much justice the acting performances or screen adaptation will do, because, well, no one talks. Instead, one of the most famous lines from the story is first, paraphrased, and then, voiced over the scenes.

"The only people for me are the mad ones. The ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars."

After a romantic getaway to Bali, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis seem to be on a winning streak romantically.

Donning Dodgers attire – with Kunis, 28, sporting a jersey, and Kutcher, 34, wearing a baseball cap – the actors enjoyed some food and all the action on the field at Wednesday night's Los Angles Dodgers game.

Sitting in the first row, Kutcher went for a soft pretzel while Kunis opted for a hot dog.

"They were very chill," an observer at the game told PEOPLE. "They seemed very normal."

"Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage," his rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Aniston, 43, and Theroux, 41, an actor-screenwriter, have been dating for more than a year.

The couple – who both starred in Wanderlust – were first spotted together in May 2011.

"They are great friends," a source told PEOPLE at the time.

During an interview on Good Morning America the next month, when asked about her personal life, Aniston couldn't hide her emotions.

"Yes, I'm very happy. I'm extremely lucky, and I'm extremely happy," she said.

 

Vanessa Paradis Opens Up (a Little) after Johnny Depp Split

In her first interview since her split with Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis is asked about her longtime former partner.

The question triggers a rebuke.

"I don't want to talk about him," she tells the summer edition of French Elle while promoting her latest film, Cornouaille. "Who said that artists should sell their soul, expose everything about themselves? … It's my duty to promote this movie, and my albums, but can you imagine what it feels like to see people making a business out of your pain."

She adds: "What's happened to us is our concern."

But the actress/singer, 39, then opens up just enough to hint about her feelings after ending a 14-year relationship with the 49-year-old star.

"I don't have the recipe for happiness, but I think the engine is simply having the desire," she says. "It's not feeling obliged or forced or repeating yourself."

"I hate, for example, whenever you hear someone say: 'You have work at being a couple,'" she continues. "No, you have to want to be there."

"And for me, I want to be right where I am right now.'"

Paradise says she'll continue to divide her time between the United States and France, and their children, Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 10, will attend school in Los Angeles.

"My children are grown now, they are more independent," she says, noting that Lily-Rose is the same age as Paradis when she broke internationally as a pop singer. "My daughter loves singing above all else. Jack, he's a guitarist."

Will they follow in their parents' footsteps?

"I can tell you that if they decide to launch themselves into this kind of career it will be a good thing for music," says, but after hesitating adds, "For my part, although I do not regret what I did, I'd prefer that my daughter takes the time to learn, and, especially, to live her childhood thoroughly."

 
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Are Not Speaking: Sources

In the wake of the cheating scandal that has rocked their three-year relationship, the two stars are not speaking to each other, PEOPLE has confirmed.

Pattinson, 26, and Stewart, 22, have both left the Los Angeles home they shared pre-scandal and are living separately elsewhere.

But they won't be able to avoid each other indefinitely: They are scheduled as co-presenters at MTV's Video Music Awards on Sept. 6, followed by their massive promotional tour for the final film in the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn: Part 2, due out Nov. 16.

Both stars are also attached to several other upcoming projects. Pattinson, whose indie drama Cosmopolis opens in limited release Aug. 17, recently signed to star in The Rover, an Australia-set revenge film.

Stewart, meanwhile, is about to get a new leading man: Magic Mike's Alex Pettyfer, who was just cast as her love interest in the upcoming action comedy Cali.

And then there is her other upcoming film: Snow White and the Huntsman 2, a planned sequel to the fantasy film directed by Rupert Sanders, the other man in the cheating scandal that erupted when Stewart admitted to their fling in a public apology to Pattinson.

 

Rupert Sanders Apologizes to His Family for Cheating with Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart isn't the only one expressing her anguish over her cheating scandal with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," Sanders tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."

The British director, 41, is married to actress-model Liberty Ross, with whom he has two young children. Stewart, 22, has been in a relationship with her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson, 26, since they first met when filming nearly four years ago.

Ross – who yesterday Tweeted the Marilyn Monroe quote, "sometimes bad things fall apart so better things can fall together," before deleting her Twitter account – appeared as a young Stewart's mother in Huntsman.

The statement from Sanders follows the actress's public apology for the "hurt and embarrassment" she caused, which she says "jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob."

Following Kristen Stewart's public apology for having a fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, the 26-year-old actor has left the Los Angeles home he shared with Stewart, PEOPLE has confirmed.

"I'm not sure they'll be able to recover from this," a source says of the couple of three years, who met making the Twilight trilogy.

In seclusion and not in contact with Stewart, 22, the British star "is heartbroken and angry," says the source.

A "devastated" Stewart, meanwhile, described Pattinson as "the person I love and respect the most" in her apology following revelations of her indiscretion with Sanders, 41, a married father of two.

"Kristen really loves Rob more than anything," says an insider. "He's all that matters to her right now."

 

Eva Longoria Talks Harper Beckham and Mark Sanchez

Victoria Beckham wasn't the only one celebrating when daughter Harper took her first steps recently – Eva Longoria, Harper's godmother, also got to share in the excitement.

"I was in L.A. [when Harper took her first steps]," Longoria, 37, told PEOPLE at Lay's "Do Us a Flavor" contest in New York Friday. "I saw the Tweet, but Victoria had emailed me a picture earlier."

Longoria also celebrated Harper's first birthday with the Beckhams in L.A. before they flew off to London.

As for the rumors that Longoria is dating New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, the Desperate Housewives star put to rest any gossip. "We're just friends," she said.

The two had been seen together on several date-like outings, including a supermarket trip near Sanchez's Bedminster, N.J., home. But, as Longoria puts it: "I am happy where I am in my life. Very happy."

She also mentioned that she'll be rooting for good friend Serena Williams during the Summer Games, adding that watching tennis on TV is one of her favorite pastimes. Williams recently won her fifth women's singles title at Wimbledon, and is reportedly resting her back before competing in the London Olympics.

To make things even worse for Demi, her relationship with her daughters Rumer, 23, Scout, 20, and Tallulah, 18 is rapidly deteriorating.

“They hate that Demi’s still acting like a teenager and messing up her life,” another friend of Demi’s revealed. “They haven’t spoken to her for most of this year.”

Ashton and Mila having a baby on top of losing her daughters is an unbearable thought for Demi.

“In my opinion, Demi’s just a ticking time bomb,” adds the friend.

 

Tom and Suri Cruise Go Flying on a Helicopter

Late Wednesday morning, Tom Cruise was photographed carrying daughter Suri, 6, outside the Greenwich Hotel in downtown Manhattan. The destination for the 50-year-old Rock of Ages star and his only child with ex Katie Holmes? The friendly skies!

The duo were next seen at a heliport, where they boarded a helicopter for an as-yet-unknown destination.

It's day two of the newly divorced actor's reunion with his little girl since he and Holmes, 33, announced that they'd quickly settled their divorce and custody arrangement; Cruise flew in early Tuesday from Los Angeles, where he'd been shooting Oblivion.

(A source confirmed to Us Weekly that Holmes, who recently began renting a new apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood, retained primary custody of their little girl.)

On Tuesday, the twosome headed to Chelsea Piers and elsewhere in downtown NYC for their first day of father-daughter bonding.

The actor "adores Suri, but now he's afraid he won't be able to have a close relationship with her," a source tells Us of his new post-divorce role.
